not the Friday i was hoping for...

and i'm not talking about the NHL trade deadline with the subject heading, more on that later. no, i'm talking about my trip to Kroger today. they texted me yesterday to tell me my Jardiance was ready to pick up at $242.50. the last two times i got it, it was $45. so, i did my due diligence and tried to find a way to get it cheaper. so, i thought i found something going through GoodRx, and filled out the form and got a card, etc. so, i showed that at the pharmacy today and the lady told me they weren't accepting this, you're not in the system. this is the exact fucking reason why i wanted Obama when he changed the healthcare in this country to cut out the fucking insurance companies completely. there is no fucking reason on earth i should pay $242.50 for a medicine that i paid $45 for a month ago. what is the fucking point of having insurance. as i told my mother when i got home, all this truly is is further proof of why it is more cost effective to die than live. they wonder why there are so many fucking suicides... so, i really hope my bets hit tonight as i need the fucking money now. not how i was hoping any of this was going to go.

now, for the trade deadline. i was hoping the Rangers might make a stunner today, but wasn't expecting one. they did make a trade last night after i got the blog done. as for today, they made a minor trade with Buffalo. there was some big trades today, mostly involving Boston, Dallas, Florida, etc.

now comes the sprint to the playoffs.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and Real Time with Bill Maher.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight at VCU. if Dayton wins, they will get a double bye in the A10 tournament and be the 3 seed. if they lose, who knows. but, if they lose, i'm hoping they do so by less than 9 points, if you know what i mean.

i'm going to try to be on here tomorrow before the New York Rangers play in the afternoon.

i have no clue what i am making for dinner tonight.

i do know, i need to vacuum the house, so i'll be doing that after i get this done.

i didn't get any writing done last night. apparently, my lack of sleep over the last 35 years or so is catching up with me. my arthritis was raging last night and apparently, my massage chair was too good for me to get up from. that being said, i do have at least one poem swimming in my head that i need to get down on paper soon.

until tomorrow kids...

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

getting closer to being done...

the bathroom that is being remolded should be done by the end of the week. i'm really happy how it looks so far. i picked out the look for the shower and it goes really well with the floor i picked and the color of paint mom picked for the walls. so, it will be really nice when it gets done.

i won both of my Champions League bets today, so i'm really happy about that.

Monday Night Raw was very good last night.

The Voice was good last night. hopefully it will be again tonight as well.

Perry Mason was really good last night. it looks like season 2 should be a good one.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

the New York Knicks play tonight at home against Charlotte.

i've got to go make the pasta and alfredo sauce for dinner tonight. we made the chicken last night as it finally thawed out.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

hopefully, i will remember to get the trash picked up and out before i pass out from being so fucking tired. getting less than 4 hours of sleep isn't doing me any favors here lately.

one of those days where i'm a little all over the place...

i found out last night that Gerald Locklin had died over the weekend. he was one of the poets i always admired, ever since i got into this racket in the 90's. i have a few of his books and we had chatted a couple of times over the years. he was my living link to Charles Bukowski in a sense. rest easy old friend, you will be missed and never forgotten.

my grandmother would have been 109 today. i think she would have enjoyed the inauguration. i did watch some of it, mostly because i wanted to hear Amanda Gorman's poem. she didn't disappoint.

i did get some baseball cards today before i did all the grocery shopping. i bought a couple Fairfield boxes at the local Rite-Aid. i spent less than $10 on them. i did get a numbered hit in one of the boxes. all in all, i probably got close to $25 worth of cards. that put a smile on my face.

the grocery shopping went pretty good today. i'm fucking tired of seeing these assholes with no masks on in the stores. especially this fucking woman today with an infant with her. and i'm the asshole because i hope they catch this shit and die.

the New York Rangers lost last night to the Devils, 4-3. the Rangers had 50 shots on goal. so, it was one of those games where the goalie stole it.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, AEW, The Masked Dancer and Name That Tune.

the Dayton Flyers were supposed to play tonight but their game against George Washington got postponed because GW's coach has COVID. i'm really fucking hoping that Dayton's coach doesn't get it since their last game was against GW.

i did get home in time to watch the Manchester United game against Fulham today. United did what they always do on the road. give up the first goal and then find a way to win. goals from Cavani and Pogba and United won 2-1.

i turn 45 tomorrow. i have no clue what will be in store for me tomorrow. i know i need to get my driver's license renewed, but that's going to wait until it gets a little warmer. i have until July to get it done. i know i have to take mom to her foot doctor tomorrow. i have no clue if we're going out to eat after that or not. i know i'll be on here sometime in the afternoon most likely.

the day today started off with some snow. it actually felt like winter for a few hours.

Todos deberían tener miedo de los poetas jóvenes, especialmente de las hermosas mujeres negras que son más fuertes que el resto de nosotros.
