now, if only the humidity would go away...

i really wanted to open up the house this morning but the humidity outside was like 97%. fuck me.

i did watch some of the NFL game last night. i wasn't surprised the Lions won, but i was really hoping for more offense in the game.

the Yankees lost last night at home to Detroit, 10-3. they start a series tonight at home against the Brewers.

Big Brother was good last night. Red got evicted in a bit of a twist. even funnier, Cam is the new HOH. the house has been trying to evict him for the last 3 weeks.

NJPW was very good last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and AEW Rampage. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

if all goes well, i should be on here tomorrow before Ohio State plays at noon. if not, probably after the game, which Ohio State should win easily.

i think i'm going to make some pulled pork sandwiches tonight with some coleslaw and macaroni salad.

the dog days strike again...

i had to run out and get some prescriptions for my mother today. i made it back home before the contractors showed up to look at our kitchen. she asked what the weather was like and i told her it was probably 78 outside but it feels like 94. i knew she wanted to go walking later but that changed her mind completely. the meeting with the contractors went well. if the estimate is within what mom wants it to be, i feel like we have found the right people to do our kitchen.

the Yankees lost last night at the White Sox, 5-1. they are back in last place again and i am at the point where i couldn't give a shit anymore.

Monday Night Raw was good last night.

i did catch some of the highlights from the Leagues Cup last night. i'll probably watch some of that tonight as well.

welcome to August...

so, i stayed up late last night to watch the USWNT take on Portugal. there's a couple of hours i'll never get back. Portugal completely outplayed the USA for the ENTIRE game. they were probably 1/2 inch away from winning the game late, which they deserved to do. the game finished 0-0. this means the USA finished 2nd in the group. in the grand scheme of things, it means they will play Sweden next most likely. and honestly, if they play like this against Sweden, they will get crushed.

the Yankees lost last night to Tampa Bay, 5-1. today was the trade deadline in MLB. i was really hoping the Yankees were going to blow it up and get some prospects or trade the prospects they have for some players. they did neither. they acquired two relief pitchers for a player and cash. they are in no man's land. the players on the team aren't good enough and the prospects are not ready to get up here. honestly, Hal needs to get his head out of his ass and just fire everyone and start the fuck over. hell, the GM has been there 25 fucking years. it is time to move the fuck on.

the Columbus Crew shocked me yesterday. they sold their best player to Saudi Arabia and then went out and whipped Club America in the Leagues Cup, 4-1.
