not exactly what i was hoping for...

i woke up this morning and nearly every bone in my body was aching. i figured it was raining. even after taking my pills, that agony has lasted all day long. add on top of that, mom decided to work from home today, and all plans i had for today were thrown out the window.

i didn't start my laundry until mom got done with her conference calls. her hearing is really starting to go. i figured a washer and dryer wasn't going to help her any. and given the pain i've been in all day long, the only time i went outside was to feed the cats. so, i'm thinking i may get a haircut Saturday morning. i would say tomorrow but mom has already told me we have a road trip up north to go on. i think she has to get something from a doctor up in Troy. that basically means more driving for me on the highway in the rain. i'm so looking forward to that.

add to that misery some poems being rejected... i heard back from Carolina Quarterly on the poems i sent back in April. they have decided to pass on them. so, i now have 6 poems that i really like to send out to different places. what i can't stand is how thick my unpublished file is getting. i guess i need to seek out some new places to send to.

so, since i was indoors most of the day, i found some awesome music on NoiseTrade this afternoon. i'll post the links below in the music section where you can find the FREE music.

American Horror Story was good last night. there was just enough blood and gore to keep me interested. just enough. i'm really hoping the next few episodes get much better and faster paced. my old ass is usually seeking a nap around 10 pm. perhaps that's why i'm up to 3 am...

tonight the New York Rangers start their season against St. Louis. i'll be glued in to that. hopefully they get off to a better start than they did last season. i'm going to be really interested to see how the new pieces fit in, especially since i will be seeing them on Saturday night in Columbus.

at the same time that the Rangers are on, i'll be paying a little attention to the NFL game. i have a WR playing for the Texans. i've picked the Colts to win tonight. all i really want is for my WR to do better than the "experts" are thinking he will. my fantasy football teams are in the mid-week injury scare mode. it's slightly driving me nuts. (stop laughing)

i did watch a little soccer in Europe this afternoon. watching Spain lose did bring a bit of joy to my world. but only for a minute or two.

i have no clue when i'll get on here tomorrow. maybe after the adventure with my mother. i think we have to go to the store as well. it's supposed to rain for much of tomorrow, just like it did today. i'm not sure how long i can play the martyr and not start taking the hard shit to take away the pain.

i certainly know i won't be moving to the Pacific Northwest or a rain forest any time soon.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

i was a busy boy today. i sent out 17 poems. 6 to The Carolina Quarterly, 5 to Horror Sleaze Trash, and 3 each to Dead Snakes and The Camel Saloon. when i hear back from these places, i'll pass along the verdicts.

i was in some fuck me pain this morning as a cold front was moving through. my back felt like shattered glass. the sun is out now and it's doing a little better, but not much.

i really enjoyed The Big Bang Theory last night. that show really makes me laugh.

i also enjoyed the New York Yankees beating the shit out of the Red Sox last night, 14-5. the game took forever, mostly due to the 5!!!!! errors the Red Sox committed. another series win for the Yankees. now, it's back home for a series against the Angels.

the New York Rangers play game 4 tonight against the Flyers. i'd love to win this one and get a big 3-1 series lead. i imagine i'll flip between some hockey and baseball tonight.

not exactly sure when i'll be on tomorrow. maybe after Ryan Giggs makes his debut as manager as Manchester United plays in the early afternoon. if the Yankees play in the afternoon tomorrow, then it will be early evening. regardless, i'll be on here tomorrow with some new filth.

hope everyone has a great weekend. be well. be creative. be the spark for a revolution.

peace...
