ah, more rain...

i didn't get to sleep until 5 this morning. when i got out of bed a little after 10, it was still raining. more of a mild drizzle than anything, but to anyone with arthritis, a drizzle is basically being in a monsoon. add in that a good portion of Brookville is under construction, and you can imagine my stress level today. although, i did see a black cheerleader at the local grocery store today. maybe Brookville is actually approaching the 20th century now.

the Dayton Flyers won last night at Saint Louis, 100-83. Dayton was without their starting point guard, so i was pleasantly surprised that the offense was humming last night. of course, Saint Louis absolutely sucks this year. Dayton will have their senior night at home on Friday against VCU.

we had some storms move through here last night, so i wasn't able to see A Revolution on Canvas. hopefully, it will be able to record tonight on HBO2.

NXT was very good last night.

The Voice was good last night.

Shogun was excellent last night.

Dark Side of the Ring was good last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

the New York Rangers made a trade today. i like it.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm just hoping i don't feel as achy as today.

i need to go make dinner.

of course it had to rain...

it rained overnight. i could tell the only way i was going to go to sleep was if the pain became too much for my body to take. twice last night, that is exactly what happened.

the Dayton Flyers won yesterday at home against Davidson, 82-76. with the win and and VCU's loss to Saint Louis, Dayton finished with the 2 seed in the upcoming A10 tournament. they will play the winner of George Washington and UMass Friday night.

i did watch a ton of college basketball yesterday and a few MLS games as well.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, Power Book IV: Force, two episodes of Shining Vale, Billions and Super Pumped: The Battle For UBER.

the Manchester derby is today. given all the injuries and COVID cases United have, i'm not expecting much against a better City side today. that bring said, i would love to see United pull off the upset.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Winnipeg. this the start of a 4 game road trip for them.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

i should be on here tomorrow after mom goes to physical therapy.

until then kids...

welcome to the weekend...

so, my sister got here late last night. i guess there was some drama on I-270. good times. mom got pissed and had me order some pizza and wings from Pizza Hut. chicken is one of the few things she can eat right now. she said fuck it and had 2 slices of pizza as well. i can understand her frustration with this shit. 2 weeks out of the hospital and they are still fucking around with her medicine.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

the New York Rangers play this afternoon at New Jersey. hopefully, it will be like the game was the other night.

the Yankees play this afternoon against the Pirates.

i will hopefully be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays.

i wish it was all just a bad joke

so, i got up this morning before the sun. got some shit done, had breakfast, and got ready to watch Manchester United vs. Chelsea. i should have just stayed in bed. at no point in this match did i feel like United was playing well enough to win. so, hats off to Chelsea as they won 1-0. yet another year without the FA Cup. and to think a few months ago i thought they would win the treble this year, it's going to be really fucking hard to not think of just winning the league title as something other than disappointing.

so, after that, had a few hours until Yankee Opening Day. another fucking waste of my time. they lost to the Red Sox 8-2. it's pretty fucking simple this year for the Yankees. if they don't pitch well, they will not win. plain and simple. that is, until the $200 million or so on the disabled list comes back. and by then, who knows how many fucking games they will be out of the race. sadly, most of the game was an extension of last season. just the simple inability to get a hit when it matters.

so, tonight i'll see if the New York Rangers can either pull me out of this funk or just put a fitting end to a shitty day. they play at home in a must win against Winnipeg, a team they haven't beat this season. thank fucking god The Voice and Monday Night Raw are on tonight as well.

and seeing that this is the last Raw before Wrestlemania, it should be really damn good.

as for the weekend, not much at all went on. got about half of the basketball games right (a cheap attempt at being positive, i got the other half wrong). my sister came down for the weekend and it's always good catching up with her. the weather was mostly decent, so that was nice. i was watching the Louisville game when that kid broke his leg. that was really fucking gruesome. might be as bad as i've seen in all my years watching sports. and god knows i've seen so many damn injuries that are 'holy shit' moments, they all tend to blend together anymore.

i still have the team i picked to win the National Championship alive (Louisville). i finished 3rd in fantasy hockey for the regular season. the playoffs start tonight. all of us finished at least 10 games behind the regular season champion, so anyone other than him winning will be a complete upset. fantasy baseball started last night as well. off to a decent start, knock on wood.

what i will try to do for National Poetry Month is post a poem to my Google+ page each day of the month. today was a little Walt Whitman.

lastly, especially if i have another writing session in the next few days, expect some news on some poetry submissions.
