the looks you get when you put a 4th bottle of wine in your grocery cart

mom and i did a little shopping this afternoon. my sister is a lover of wine and let's just say, we hit the jackpot today. i'm pretty sure she's going to laugh her ass off this Christmas. i also had to pick up more envelopes to get my Christmas gifts/cards out. i'll get cracking on that tonight.

The Voice fucking stunned me last night. when Jordan made the final 4, it was widely expected. when Emily Ann was announced next, i was a little surprised but i did have her as my dark horse to win the show. then the holy shit started. i just don't get what people see in Barrett Baber. as i told my mother when she called and asked for the results, i told her two words; country mafia. the only thing she said was oh shit at the top of her lungs. when the final 3 were announced for the last 3 to vie for the final spot, i figured it was going to be Jeffery, Madi and Amy (or as i call them now, the 3 that should have made it). Jeffery and Madi made it along with Zach. are you shitting me? here come the horny old women to ruin this show again. thankfully Jeffrey won the final save of the season. so the finals will come down to 2 gay guys against 2 country singers. my money is on Jordan. if he doesn't win, the country mafia will surely be the ones that pulled of the heist.

Scream Queens was excellent last night. full of laughs and some great storytelling, i truly enjoyed the finale. and i can't wait for season 2.

The Muppets were pretty funny last night.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight is a bit of a clusterfuck for me. on the DVR will be American Horror Story and the season finale of You're The Worst. i'll be watching NXT and Unfiltered on WWE Network.

also tonight, the Dayton Flyers take on Vanderbilt down in Nashville. the game is on ESPNU. this will be another stiff test for Dayton.

late tonight, the New York Rangers take on Vancouver. i will hopefully be enjoying a couple of victory beers late tonight.

i have an eye appointment on Friday, so the plan is to get all my Christmas cards out and then get all my poetry submissions out before that appointment on Friday. i'm going to be a busy boy.

i hope everyone had a lovely day. if not, drink up.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

and then the days all start to bleed together...

it started to lightly rain sometime last night. i suppose that would explain why i had a hard time sleeping last night. there's a chance for snow today, though it's not supposed to accumulate. i figure it will start when i'm driving and stop as soon as i turn the car off.

the New York Rangers fell behind early last night but had a great second period. they scored again in the 3rd to go up 3-1. at this point, i was really happy with how they were playing. of course, that wouldn't last. the fucking Penguins scored 2 goals in 24 seconds to tie the game, which eventually went into OT. thankfully, Kevin Klein once again came through in the clutch. after needing 13 or so stitches to reattach part of his ear, he scored the winning goal in OT. that's what i love about hockey players... tough sons of bitches. here are the highlights from the game:

i thought all of the performances on The Voice last night were good. i have no clue who gets voted off tonight. the only locks to advance in my head are Matt (team Adam) and Craig (team Blake). i won't get to see the show tonight as i will be at a basketball game.

i thought Monday Night Raw was pretty good. the show just sort of dragged for me. of course, anytime you end a show with John Cena going through a table, i'll be happy. i didn't agree with all the winners of the Slammy Awards last night, but in terms of wrestling fans, i'm a senior citizen.

i really enjoyed my two victory beers last night. i had the Winter Lager from Sam Adams. first time i have tried this one. i must say, Sam Adams has yet to make a beer that i don't like.

i wasn't surprised the Yankees let their closer leave via free agency. with the reliever they already signed, they basically saved $10 million. now, if they use that money wisely, i'll be fine with this decision. do nothing with it, and i'll be fucking furious. they do get a draft pick for him leaving, but they hardly ever draft anyone that makes an immediate impact.

i'm cutting this one a little short as i have cats to feed and shit around the house to get done. plus, i would imagine the people that sit around me at the basketball games would prefer i take a shower.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight against Bowling Green. this might actually be their toughest game of the season so far. it should be a pretty physical game. i'm hoping i will be enjoying a victory beer when i get home tonight.

thanks again to all 3 of you for allowing me to waste your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the long cold days

much as i figured, my Sunday was way better than my Saturday was. not that it had far to go to be much better...

the New York Rangers lost again 4-1. thankfully, i had other stuff i wanted to watch than be stuck watching professional athletes just basically show up and do nothing. they had a closed door meeting after the game. those only "work" when you win a few games after it. we'll see.

i have decent leads in both of my fantasy football matches. but, both of my opponents have 2 players each playing tonight. so, i guess i need to pay a bit of attention to that game tonight.

Homeland was excellent last night. had a great pace to it and plenty of drama. can't wait to the season finale next week. Masters of Sex was pretty good. my big bitch about the show is the lack of consistency from week to week. they say next week will be a shocking season finale. we'll see. Total Divas had me laughing my ass off. and not at the pet cat being put to sleep. although, that's part of the reason i keep all mine outside.

tonight is a busy night on the television. Monday Night Raw has the Slammy Awards tonight. that's usually a pretty fun episode. The Voice has a huge 1 hour show tonight seeing that it is the semi-finals. and i'm sure there are some college basketball games i should be watching.

congrats to Joe Torre for making the baseball hall of fame. i guess the Yankees can now retire his number 6.

looks like the deep freeze is getting ready to come here in the next few days. hopefully we have enough propane to get through that. had to put some ice melter on the walks this morning as they had a little black ice on them. last thing i need is my mother falling again.

a big thank you to Amazon.com for getting my stuff i ordered to me 4 days before you said it would be here. now only if the post office could be that good.

that's all for me. i hope you are warm wherever you are. peace and chicken grease.
