and just like that... it's gone...

just as i was getting used to staying up late as fuck to watch some sport i only watch every 4 years, the Olympics are done and over with. i did stay up to watch the USA women's basketball team last night. and i watched most of the gold medal women's volleyball game between the USA and Brazil. needless to say, i went to bed around 3 this morning a very happy man. the USA finished with more medals than any other country as well as more gold medals than China.

the Yankees won yesterday over Seattle, 5-4. when they were losing the game 4-1, i certainly didn't see them coming back to win. hopefully, today they will get the sweep.

my cousins came over yesterday. one of them brought me an Aaron Judge bobblehead and a Yankees whiskey glass that she got while in New York last week. they were my gifts for helping their mother out over the last 5 years with the mail and trash. i certainly wasn't expecting that. we had a nice long talk about the Yankees and Mets and New York City in general.

my sister spent the night. i wasn't expecting that either.

ROH was excellent last night.
