for National Poetry Month, i give you:
for the most part, i enjoyed WrestleMania 32. from seeing some of the legends actually get in the ring again, to seeing Shaq get in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, to Shane McMahon doing one of the craziest fucking things i've seen in years. what i don't like about the WWE is putting legends over at the expense of the youth. there is no fucking reason in the world for The Rock to be beating up Bray Wyatt. oh that's right, Vince had to remind us that Superman John Cena is once again back early from injury. god forbid you build new stars for the day that fucker finally dies off. i really enjoyed the match for the Women's Championship, although i thought Sasha Banks should have won. i don't get why Y2J defeated AJ Styles. i did enjoy Zack Ryder finally getting his WrestleMania moment by winning the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. now, he should lose it tonight on Monday Night Raw. usually, the Raw after Mania is the best one of the year. it sets a new tone, it usually produces a ton of surprises and the crowd is made up of a ton of people from foreign countries, so they hijack the show. usually a good time. all in all, i thought it was a good show, just way too fucking long. the pre-show started at 5 and the last match ended around 11:50. almost 7 hours of wrestling. i've been a fan nearly all my life and even i think that's a little much.
amazingly, i watched most of the Sunday night shows after Mania was over. the season finale of Shameless was a little more tame than i expected, although i really didn't see the junkie twist coming at the end. it certainly sets up a very interesting season next year, since that's the only way we'll ever know if Frank actually makes it out of the river or not. i watched Billions this afternoon. it was a good episode that certainly set up what should be a great season finale next week. Vinyl was really good. Girls was good. Togetherness was great. i'm still pissed that the series finale is next week. and Last Week Tonight was excellent once again:
the New York Yankees home opener today was rained out. so i guess it will be happening tomorrow afternoon. i guess i'll have a reason for afternoon naps once again.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice.
the New York Rangers play at Columbus tonight. a win means they will be in the playoffs. a loss and they will be playing themselves into the wildcard or golf by next week. i imagine i'll watch most of the game or flip back and forth between it and wrestling tonight.
Villanova plays North Carolina for the NCAA championship tonight. i picked North Carolina before the tournament began, so you know who i hope wins.
the weather has been pretty shitty around here. we got a little SNOW over the weekend and today's high temperature was 39. yeah, that sounds like Spring. i know rain must be coming, my arthritis is flaring up again.
i heard back from The Literary Hatchet yesterday on part of my poetry submission from February. they have rejected 3 of the 5 i sent. i'll assume the other 2 still have a chance.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...
