the mother of all days

first off, let me wish all the mothers in the world a happy mother's day. to my own mother, who hardly ever reads this blog, a very happy mother's day to you. i hope you enjoy what i got you. it can't be much, mostly because living poets don't make any money.

the rain is supposed to come this afternoon. my body certainly feels like it is going to come sooner. i made sure to get the bird feeders full before anything happens. here at the new house it's becoming a war against the squirrels. that should keep me occupied for awhile.

Manchester United won yesterday 2-1. unfortunately, there was a couple more injuries and the usual lazy start to the second half once again. but, i'll give them credit for getting a late winner. now, if Chelsea can beat Liverpool today, United is guaranteed to finish in the top 4. here are some highlights from the game:

the New York Yankees had their run of good pitching come to an end yesterday, losing 6-2. hopefully, they can win the series today as they play again this afternoon.

i was home alone most of yesterday. you'd think i would have done some writing or painting, catch up on shows, etc. no. i did catch up on some sleep and some porn. and i did find some great music on NoiseTrade. those links will be below in the music section.

ROH was excellent last night. i really enjoyed both matches.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night. here's a digital exclusive:

tonight is going to be a crazy one for me. the New York Rangers are in yet another do or die Game 6. they MUST win to force a Game 7. so, most of my attention will be on that one tonight. that means on the DVR will be Veep, Silicon Valley, Last Week Tonight, Nurse Jackie, Happyish, and Penny Dreadful. if the hockey game doesn't go the way i want it to tonight, i'll probably watch all the shows trying to help me forget. if the Rangers win, i'll be way too fucking wired to watch anything. so, my Monday afternoon will be incredibly busy catching up on things.
