finally dry enough to be in the yard

it was finally dry enough today that i could get out in the yard and fill the bird feeders. we had so much rain that in some of them, the seeds had started to sprout. that's always fun to clean.

i wrote 6 poems yesterday while in the waiting room while mom was getting her MRI done. i typed them up yesterday and i think a couple of them are really good.

The Voice was pretty good last night. the playoffs are up next.

Drop the Mic was pretty funny last night.

American Horror Story was really good last night. the season finale is next week.

The Jim Jefferies Show was hilarious last night.

Smackdown was very good last night. i figured they would have AJ Styles win the championship last night. that sets up him vs. Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. DREAM MATCH.

205 Live was pretty good as well last night.

30 for 30: Nature Boy was a stroll down memory lane for me. i have followed the career of Ric Flair since i was 3 years old. the hardest part was the last 20 minutes or so. watching the footage of his son that died from an overdose and why his daughter is wrestling today brought tears. i figure for the casual fan, it was probably more eye opening than it was for me. i did like that Hulk Hogan admitted that Ric is way better than he was.

the second part of Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge wasn't as good as the first part, but, i was also alive for all of this part of the documentary. i did like that they included the warts as well in the movie. it wasn't just a kiss Jann Wenner's ass for the entire 4 hours.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, You're the Worst and Total Divas. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Boston. i'd love to see them extend the winning streak to 5 tonight.

that's all for me today kids. i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. mom wants to get a Thanksgiving tablecloth for some damn reason, so i get the feeling that i'm going to be taking her shopping tomorrow.

3 hours of sleep in a row, wow...

i have my television set up to turn off if the channel hasn't changed in 4 hours. i know if i wake up and it's still on, i didn't get enough sleep at all. that happened this morning. thankfully, i was able to go back to sleep. when i next saw the clock, it was over 3 hours later. hot damn. this will be as close as i get to refreshed for days.

the New York Rangers came from behind last night to defeat Columbus, 5-3. that's 4 wins in a row. amazingly, they have pretty much dug themselves out of the hole they started the season in. they play tomorrow at home against Boston.

Vice News Tonight last night was all about the Paradise Papers. i urge everyone to find this show on demand and watch it.

The Voice was pretty good last night.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i was a little surprised at Sheamus & Cesaro winning the tag team championship. but, if that produces The Shield vs. The New Day at Survivor Series, i'm cool with it.

Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge was very good last night. the music was great and i learned a few things from the stories. hopefully tonight's episode will be just as good.

i have to take mom to get some blood work done and a brain MRI today. after she's done with that, i have to take her to go vote. she forgot to send in her absentee ballot. and then after all that, i have to get back here and get the trash done and do something for dinner. thank god i did the dishes last night.

i'm going to bring along pen and paper with me today, just in case a few poems pop in my head.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow.

this is why you move to higher ground

we had 4.6 inches of rain last night. thankfully, where our house is, it doesn't really flood much. i went out to check since a sewer drain is right across from our driveway and if it starts backing up, i know where it's going. and i really had no motivation to get in the car and go check all the spots around town where i knew there would be flooding. thankfully, i was drinking last night, so i didn't have as much pain as i should have.

before i get to yesterday's shit, a few poetry updates...

i ended up typing up 7 poems yesterday. those are my first ones for November. i really like a few of them.

i sent out 30 poems today. 6 to Record Magazine, 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash, Live Nude Poems and Synchronized Chaos (already accepted); and 3 each to Rusty Truck, Mad Swirl and The Beatnik Cowboy. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

Manchester United lost yesterday at Chelsea 1-0. they now sit 8 points behind Manchester City in the Premier League. hopefully the boys get healthy again and City collapses at some damn point this season.

the New Orleans Saints took care of business yesterday and defeated Tampa Bay 30-10. they are now 6-2 on the season and still in first place. they play at Buffalo next. that won't be easy.

Shameless was great last night. i am so happy the show is back.

SMILF was very good last night. i think this is going to be a show i really love.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was very funny last night.

Vice Principals was crazy last night. the series finale is next week.

Last Week Tonight was great as usual.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow as mom has some blood work to get done and a brain MRI tomorrow afternoon.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.
