waking up to craziness...

when any World Cup is in a time zone that is difficult to watch the games live, i do know there is a good chance i will wake up to craziness. but, this year's Women's World Cup has been especially crazier than ever. i was shocked when i looked at the score today and saw that Germany only got a draw with South Korea which meant that Germany, for the first time ever, wasn't going to make it out of the group stage at a Women's World Cup. in some ways, i am happy with this though, as i would like to believe that more countries are now investing in women's sports which also could mean they become something other than second class citizens in those countries. and honestly, that could be the best thing for this world yet.

the Yankees won last night at home against Tampa Bay, 7-2. they start a series tonight at home against Houston.

AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.

Big Brother was good last night, for the most part.

i did catch some of the Leagues Cup last night.

on the DVR tonight will be What We Do in the Shadows and NJPW.

i'm guessing mom will probably want to watch some of the Hall of Fame game tonight between the Jets and Browns. luckily, i think we can see it on Peacock.

i don't know what we are doing after her doctor's appointment today. as of last night, she gave me the impression she might want to go out to eat. but, who knows.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

before i face the heat of hell

it is supposed to be hot and fucking humid today, so i'm not exactly looking forward to this fresh slice of hell.

the Yankees lost last night to Seattle, 8-6. they will hopefully win the series this afternoon, but i won't be holding my breath.

after the game, i heard about the death of Vin Scully. that is a voice that still rings in my head from watching many baseball and football games in my youth.

NXT was really good last night.

Deadliest Catch was excellent last night.

What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night.

i didn't watch the TBT final last night. at least the Red Scare lost to the team that won the championship.

mom has a doctor's appointment for tomorrow morning. so, i'll probably do the blog when we get home from that.

ok kids, i'm off to do the grocery shopping. the real feel temp outside right now is 98. i guess i'll put on some sunscreen today.

the dog days are here...

i don't know if it is because of the Olympics being on and i'm up at all hours so i can watch shit live, or just the days seem to be dragging along slow as fuck... the dog days of summer are here. i did make it to the bank today. after i made that deposit, i went to Big Lots, hoping to find some baseball cards. no luck. hell, they didn't even have any Funko Pop! toys either. well shit.

the Yankees lost last night to Baltimore, 7-1. the best part of the game was the fucking cat running around in the outfield. and of course, since this is the Yankees season from hell, Gerrit Cole and Jordan Montgomery both have COVID now. so, the Yankees will be starting a rookie tonight. hopefully, he does well. he's their #6 prospect, so i'm hoping for the best.
