as a sports fan, i pretty much have seen it all. today is just another chapter of it, but, i am thankful i am 48 years old, so i know not to ever get my hopes up. when Manchester United went up 3-0 today in the FA Cup semifinal, i figured they would win but it wouldn't be like in the past. in the past, United goes up 3-0 and they would win either 3-1 or maybe 5-2, something like that. this United team lacks every single bit of confidence that all the United teams had before. and i sadly know that all too well. so, of course, United pissed that lead away and ended up going to extra time at 3-3 against Coventry. Coventry thought they had won the game in the 122nd minute, but they were offside by maybe an inch. probably even less than that. so the game went to penalty kicks. United won those 4-2, to advance to the FA Cup final against Manchester City. you could tell no one was particularly pleased that United won this way. to be honest, it feels like a fucking loss, which would have spared the potential embarrassment of what Manchester City will most likely do to them in the final. regardless, i'm not sure how ETH keeps his job and i'm not sure the new top brass has the guts to sell off all the players that need to leave. i was hoping for a way less stressful beginning to my Sunday.
here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:
the Yankees lost yesterday at home to Tampa Bay, 2-0, in 10 innings. hopefully, they will win the series today.

i woke up this morning to a fresh coating of ice and snow. it was fucking cold walking out to get the paper while still in my shorts. i guess it really is winter now.
the New York Rangers got outplayed last night by Dallas by a damn mile. somehow, the Rangers backup goalie kept them in the game and the team managed to score late to send the game into OT. there was no score in OT and eventually Dallas won in the shootout. the 2-1 loss may end up being the point that helps them make the playoffs at the end of the season. even if the most positive Rangers fan knows they didn't deserve it.
Monday Night Raw was really good last night. i'm hoping that Cesaro opened Vince's eyes last night at just how good he could be if they would give him a push.
Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution was pretty good last night. it really showed just how much politics will fuck up anything.
The Voice was excellent last night. i think i know at least two of the people that will be in the finals. i have no damn clue who gets the last two spots.

i might try to do the blog in the morning tomorrow as i have to drive mom down to her financial planner in the afternoon. and then i think she wants to do some shopping south of town. so, that probably means i won't be home until well after dark.
as for now, i have to get the fucking trash picked up. i might as well get layered up. the fucking wind is biting today.

205 Live was pretty good as well last night.
