i guess it's really winter now

i woke up this morning to a fresh coating of ice and snow. it was fucking cold walking out to get the paper while still in my shorts. i guess it really is winter now.

the New York Rangers got outplayed last night by Dallas by a damn mile. somehow, the Rangers backup goalie kept them in the game and the team managed to score late to send the game into OT. there was no score in OT and eventually Dallas won in the shootout. the 2-1 loss may end up being the point that helps them make the playoffs at the end of the season. even if the most positive Rangers fan knows they didn't deserve it.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night. i'm hoping that Cesaro opened Vince's eyes last night at just how good he could be if they would give him a push.

Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution was pretty good last night. it really showed just how much politics will fuck up anything.

The Voice was excellent last night. i think i know at least two of the people that will be in the finals. i have no damn clue who gets the last two spots.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Voice and Drop the Mic. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i might try to do the blog in the morning tomorrow as i have to drive mom down to her financial planner in the afternoon. and then i think she wants to do some shopping south of town. so, that probably means i won't be home until well after dark.

as for now, i have to get the fucking trash picked up. i might as well get layered up. the fucking wind is biting today.

a bad mood can only last so long...

when Manchester United lost yesterday, 2-1, i was fucking livid. they had opportunities in the game to get a point or even better, not have the two defensive mistakes and maybe steal all 3 points. instead. they are now 11 points out of first place in the league. so, i suppose the goal is now finish in the top 4 and do well in the FA Cup and Champions League. they got Sevilla in that draw this morning. it could have been worse. they next play on Wednesday against Bournemouth.

i think i was pissed until i got the email from Chiron Review last night. i can't wait for the world to read the poem that got accepted by them. it might be one of the best ones i have ever written.

Shameless last night was excellent.

SMILF was fucking hilarious last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution and The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

The New York Rangers play at home tonight against Dallas. i'd love to see the boys get another win tonight.

i went to the bank today before mom and i went to the grocery store. there was no one in line at the bank, so that went quickly. as for the grocery store, not so much. mom had a damn scroll to get. apparently she didn't remember everything when she gave me the list on Friday. oh well. at least we got home in time for the New York Yankees press conference.

the Yankees trade for Giancarlo Stanton became official today. holy shit, next season is going to be fun.

it did warm up some today, so most of the snow has melted. of course, i think there's a good chance for some snow tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.
