80 degrees in April

this is the one part of living in the sticks that would always make me laugh. a day like today is when you would hear some dumb fuck in town talk about well, if this global warming, i'll take it all the time. sure, 80 degrees and sweating in April is just a fucking joy. maybe when these dumb fucks have their vacation destinations in Florida under water one day, they will finally understand that 20 degrees warmer than normal is not always a good thing.

Smackdown was excellent last night. it was a complete 180 from Monday Night Raw. it's amazing to think that both shows are even the same company sometimes.

205 Live was good last night. i could watch Neville and Jack Gallagher wrestle forever and never get bored.

The Voice went mostly as i expected last night. the two up for elimination were two of the ones that i thought would be.

Great News was so bad last night that it almost made for good television. sadly, everything that was funny about the show was in the commercials for the show. not a good sign.

Deadliest Catch was really good last night. as soon as Nick said his white blood cell count was that high, i knew he was talking about cancer. i know most reality shows are fake to some degree, but i do appreciate just how "real" this show has always been.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Total Divas. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Yankees play tonight up in Boston. hopefully they can get a win.

the Stanley Cup playoffs start back up tonight with games in the Western Conference. St. Louis plays Nashville and Anaheim takes on Edmonton. i imagine i will watch some of both games tonight.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast today. you can find that by going here:

random thoughts while stuck behind an old person driving 30 in a 50 mph zone

i wrote 2 poems yesterday afternoon, more or less about the evil inside of me. so when i was stuck behind this old lady while driving to pick up my mother at the rental car place, i started to laugh. sure, i was tempted to run her off the road. sure, i was looking for a spot to pass her. but i did nothing, i just followed. now, when she turned to get on the highway, i did say i hope you die in the accident you're getting ready to cause, but it was more in that loving sense where i hope she doesn't feel any pain. ok, i'm not buying that either.

for National Poetry Month, i give you:

i was elated to see that Bruce Springsteen made his cover of Purple Rain by Prince a FREE download. you know i got that as soon as i possibly could. here is a link to it:

i really enjoyed The Voice last night. i really have no clue who is getting voted off tonight.

i was relieved to see Gotham was a rerun last night. i was tired as hell when i started to watch it.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good. i was excited to watch Anderson and Gallows finally wrestle. i'm really happy that Karl Anderson has finally fulfilled his dream of getting to the WWE. i'm really interested to see what happens at the ppv this Sunday. it should be a great one.

the New York Yankees got some great pitching last night and a few big hits that were just enough to win 3-1. that's a good way to start a long road trip. they play again tonight in Texas.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Deadliest Catch.

i'm not sure if it's going to storm here tonight or not. my bones tell me yes, but the radar says something else. good times.

i do need to pickup all the trash though. we've already done next door, mostly because i don't think my mother nor i wanted to do that in the rain.

i listened to the latest edition of Seton Calling this morning. you can find it by going here:
http://setoncalling.com/2016/04/26/episode4setonchazkellyedition/

i may do another round of poetry submissions tomorrow, just so i feel like i have had an active National Poetry Month. i do think with the 7 poems i have written in the last 2 days, i should have plenty of options.

that's all for me kids, i have trash to pick up.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

from the bottom of hell to the top of the damn mountain

before i take all of you on a fucking rollercoaster, here are your links for national poetry month:

last night was one of those sports nights from hell. the Yankees got the living shit beat out of them, 13-1. then, the New York Rangers lost game 4 of their playoff series 2-1. to say i was a little pissed last night would be a huge understatement. thankfully, i found some tunes on iTunes to change my mood and i was able to get some sleep.

thankfully, today has been much, MUCH better. Manchester United looked like the United of old, especially in the second half, winning 4-0. it was a little emotional watching Ryan Giggs walk out in a suit to manage the team. and i did feel a great bit of pride when they won. watching 4 of the lads from the Class of 1992 walk off together as winners was awesome to see. hopefully the last 3 games of the season can be just the same.

after that, i caught a great deal of the New York Yankees winning 4-3. it was great to see the bullpen come through big time today. hopefully they can win the series tomorrow night.

a big thank you to my friend Michelle for stopping by today. it was so nice to finally meet you. and i do hope you enjoy the broadsides.

took my mother to the store to get our drugs and some other things we needed. i'm a little concerned with how drained she gets by just doing little, simple things. hopefully this will get better with time. i don't think any of us thought the surgery would take this much out of her.

as for tonight, not sure what i'll be watching. i do know i have a few victory beers to drink. and i think i might break out the rum as well. fuck, might as well. i've got one more load of my mother's clothes to fold and then i need to figure out what we're having for dinner. my best guess is the pizza in the freezer. that should go well with the beer.

i suppose i will be on here in the afternoon tomorrow. i know the Rangers play at noon in a MUST win game, so probably after that i'll be on here with the joy of winning or the agony of defeat.

be well my enemies. hope all of you are having a great weekend. make sure you get that new issue of Nerve Cowboy, #36. it is a great one.

peace and chicken grease...
