sometimes, magic does happen...

i got a line stuck in my head last night that i thought could make an amazing poem. so there i was, 3:30 in the morning, pounding out some lines and not exactly drunk, but certainly with a good buzz. i typed the 2 page poem up this morning. it's really good. i'm hoping it won't be my last poem of 2018. but, if it is, it's a good way to finish off a crazy fucking year.

so i sent an email out last night at like 2 in the morning to my last former best friend. i'm really hoping it brings some fucking closure to all of this. i have 2 goals in 2019. write a fucking poem that finally gets me nominated for the Pushcart Prize. next, i want to eliminate all the toxic shit in my life; relationships, fear, anxiety, all of it.

i figure i can accomplish this by being as productive as possible. i'd like to think i started that in 2018, but i want to take it so many steps past what i have done this year... this is normally where i would wax poetic by saying god willing or some other bullshit. my goal is to push as much urgency as possible into my body so it bleeds out of me.

the Dayton Flyers won yesterday, 81-69. considering they were up by 28 at halftime, i wasn't exactly pleased with the final score. at some point this season, this team has to realize when you have your boot on another team's neck, you apply pressure, you don't let up. thankfully, it finally sounded like the coach was annoyed with it in the post game press conference. finally.

i got home and watched my recording of the Manchester United game. oh, what a breath of fresh fucking air. United won yesterday 5-1. that's the first time they have scored 5 goals in the Premier League since Sir Alex left. now, i know they won't play like that every game, but it was so fucking nice to see they know that kind of game still exists in their DNA.

i did watch a good portion of the NFL game last night between the Ravens and Chargers. i don't think anyone will want to play Baltimore in the playoffs this year.

i also watched some boxing last night and most of the New York Rangers game. the Rangers lost in Toronto 5-3. i think the game showed the talent gap between both teams. oh well. the Rangers play tonight at home against Philadelphia.

ROH was a recap of the best matches of 2018 last night. next week will be a recap of the women's matches. it was a fun hour of television.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Ray Donovan and Escape at Dannemora.

the New Orleans Saints play today at home against the Steelers. i'm really hoping the Saints win today as that will clinch just about everything in the NFC for them.

i'm guessing my sister will be here tonight. she spent last night at her friend's house.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

Elimina el miedo a lo desconocido, el resto será fácil.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

flora cash - You're Somebody Else
Tom Waits - Small Change (Got Rained On With His Own .38)

the i'm really pissed off for no reason blog post

i tried to watch some boxing tonight, mostly because Gus Johnson was calling it. Gus is one of my favorite broadcasters of all time. he could make reading the phone book interesting. though, he couldn't keep me from falling asleep. but, i did see something i don't i had ever seen before. a boxer with a farmer's tan. and he wasn't even white. man, how far that sport has fallen. so sad.

saw the Yankees lost tonight. not that i actually saw the game. thanks to FOX/MLB's bullshit blackout rules. way to make sure the sport continues to grow in this country. stupid fucks. as for the post game highlights i saw, same shit different day. can't get big hits. can't hit with runners in scoring position. can't win when they don't hit home runs. fuck, i'm stuck watching the Yankees of my youth all over again. fuck me runnin'.

was nice to see Fatso and the Devils lost in overtime again to the Kings. half way to watching that fucker cry again. i'm so happy my dick is almost hard. would be nice to see Quick and Richards win it all though. they've brought me some fantasy hockey championships over the years.

a little NASCAR tomorrow, flip to see if the Yankees can slap Verlander around again (i'm not holding my breath) and then the big decision. Sunday night programming on Showtime and HBO or the Heat vs. Celtics. thank god only the last 5 minutes of a NBA game is must see.

and now a quote to bid all of you a fond farewell

"Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret." - Ambrose Bierce
