i knew that black cat meant something bad...

i had a black cat dart in front of me on my way home from picking up my prescription last night. i figured it meant the Yankees were going to lose. or the fucking Taco Bell mom wanted for dinner was going to put me on the toilet all night. instead, it was something completely different.

i heard back from Bindweed Magazine on my poetry submission from May. they rejected all 6 poems i sent. not exactly how i was hoping to start off my Saturday morning. i read the poems again and know they are good. so, i definitely think they will go out with the first submissions of September.

the New York Yankees won 7-5 last night in 10 innings at Baltimore. hopefully they will win both games of the doubleheader today.

VICE was really good last night.

both episodes of NJPW were excellent last night.

Major League Wrestling was very good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.

Random Acts of Flyness was fucking brilliant last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH and Drew Michael.

the New Orleans Saints play tonight at the Los Angeles Chargers. i think that game is on CBS tonight, so i'll actually get to watch it.

it's supposed to get hot and stormy here the next few days. lovely.

i want to take a moment and acknowledge the muse. she's got a tough week ahead of her and i just wanted to let her know i love you and you will be great.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. call if you need bail money.

one busy day...

before i get to the adventure of the bank and Office Depot, a little poetry news first.

i sent out 19 poems today. 3 to The Beatnik Cowboy. 6 to Bindweed Magazine. and 10 poems to Lucidity Poetry Journal. when i hear back from these places, i wll pass along the verdicts.

mom paid me for the month. so, since i was headed in that direction, i figured i would go to Office Depot to pick up a few things. the black woman working at the bank was showing just enough cleavage to allow my brain to go fucking nuts. there will be poems i suppose. i needed to get some new pens, some envelopes and some damn tape at Office Depot. thankfully, mom gave me a gift card and she had some reward dollars that needed to be used. so, 4 pens, 100 envelopes, and 4 rolls of tape ended up costing me $7. that's not bad.

my theory is apparently true. we only have two seasons anymore. cold and fucking hot. we're in the fucking hot stage at the moment.

the New York Yankees lost to Houston yesterday 5-1. hopefully they will get a win tonight. considering who is pitching, i'm not holding my breath.

team USA defeated Bolivia last night 3-0 in a soccer friendly. i loved that the USA played plenty of kids and they seemed to really play well. now, the competition wasn't great, but i don't care about that. i love that the kids will get some confidence and then can test themselves later in the year with better teams. you can see the highlights from the game by going here:

i did watch the NCAA championship in lacrosse yesterday. that's probably the only Memorial Day tradition i actually have.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

John McCain: For Whom The Bell Tolls was excellent last night. i really liked that they showed the moments he fucked up as a politician as well as the good stuff. well worth your time checking out.

here are your highlights from the NHL and NBA playoffs last night:
so it's going to be Cleveland and Golden State in the NBA finals for the 4th straight year. if LeBron wins this one, he might as well declare himself the messiah. it's going to take everything he has to beat the Warriors.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Deadliest Catch, The Jim Jefferies Show and The Chris Gethard Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

no playoff games tonight, so it will just be the Yankees game i will be flipping to during the commercials.

i'll be on here tomorrow after i take the car to the mechanic. just the basic there's 225,000 miles on the vehicle checkups and what not. mom and i shouldn't be there too long. who knows, we might get a bite to eat afterwards.

i need to pick up the trash here and next door, so that's all for me kids.
