why technology and me don't get along...

i spent the majority of the afternoon/early evening setting up the wi-fi on the television. i know i should have done this years ago when mom purchased it. but i figured my sister would do it, or my mother, and of course, neither one did. and the beauty of it truly is by the time i got it set up, and all the updates happened, and i went online to confirm everything, the shit i wanted to see was over. and it looks like i won't be able to do what i wanted to with it to begin with. but, i did manage to look at one of my own YouTube videos on it, so i guess not all was lost.

as the television was constantly rebooting, i was watching team USA take on Scotland in a friendly. one of the more boring games i have sat through. 0-0 with a Tim Howard save being really the only action of the game. i think they play next Tuesday in Austria.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night. i absolutely love the writing on that show.

i picked the NFL game right last night but of course, the guy who had the most fantasy points was sitting on my bench. fuck me.

my tomorrow will be pretty busy. at noon i have another college basketball game to go to. this is happening at the same time Ohio State is playing. so i imagine everyone will be breaking out their smartphones to check the scores. i of course, being the too cool for that kind of shit type of guy, will have prying eyes and ears while watching the game. i honestly believe if i got a cell phone the earth may fucking explode. so, after the game, it's a little lunch and then grocery shopping. so, i'm going to try to get a nice buzz on at lunch so i don't kill anyone in the store. after all that, come back home and get ready for the annual horror show of the New York Rangers playing in Montreal. and then of course some college football, Saturday Night Live, and ROH.

so, needless to say, i will be turning in early this evening. early being sometime before 2 am.

not sure when i will be blogging tomorrow. i'm sure some smart ass is saying to themselves right now, well, if you had a mobile device genius... yes, yes, i know.

oh, for those who are wondering, the wine came late as fuck last night and it was a guy that looked like me delivering it. and people wonder why my poems are the way they are.

hope everyone has a great weekend. mine will depend on sports teams and a huge cold front moving through. i just love putting the trash out at 2 in the morning.

peace and chicken grease.

welcome to the weak end

so i have spent a good portion of today on the toilet. not sure if it was something i ate, misdoings in a previous life, or the changing of the weather that has me feeling like shit. just how i wanted to spend mother's day weekend.

as my sister and mother were out running around earlier today, i watched the FA Cup final. i did feel a bit better when i watched Wigan upset Manchester City. always nice to watch those fuckers lose.

the New York Rangers lost another heart breaker last night, 2-1 in overtime. i don't know if that result made me physically ill, but i wouldn't doubt if it did. a crushing loss. game 6 tomorrow afternoon. do or die. i have no clue if the team has what it takes to force a game 7. i'd like to think they do. but i don't know.

the Yankees offense came to life last night in a 11-6 win over the Royals. would have liked to seen some better pitching but i'll definitely take the runs. and it would really be nice to sew up another series win with a win later tonight. i'd really like to see Andy Pettitte pitch better tonight or i think the end may be staring him right in the face.

tomorrow will be an emotional one for me. Sir Alex Ferguson's last home match. and the rumor now is that Paul Scholes will announce his retirement (AGAIN) after the match. on top of all that, they finally get the trophy for winning the Premier League. i really hope i'm feeling much better by tomorrow morning. i'll be kicking myself endlessly if i miss anything.

i got the mp3 player i got a few weeks ago finally loaded with some songs. nothing like being the old guy who is a little slow figuring out this technology shit. thank god my sister is a genius when it comes to that shit.

well, my mom and sister brought me back some food from where they ate this afternoon. so far so good with being able to keep it in me. some of the best ribs i've had in a long time.

i plan on watching Saturday Night Live tonight. whether i make it all the way through or not, that's a different story. Kristen Wiig is hosting and i have always enjoyed her. so i think i will make it to the end. and hopefully catch a little ROH as well.

and if none of that happens, i'll be in bed by 10 trying to sweat out whatever demon crawled inside me.

my new YouTube video "what is rain" can be seen on the right hand side of this blog. check it out. would love to know what you think of it. and also, go get yourself a copy of Sofisticated White Trash today. follow the links on the right hand side of the blog and take advantage of the discount while you still can.

when the sun comes out to play

amazing how different my mood is when the sun is out for nearly all day long. or maybe it's that my sports teams are winning. who knows.

i watched the New York Rangers game last night knowing it was going to be a struggle as the Islanders are much better than the pieces of shit they normally are. but, being down 1-0 in the 3rd period, i felt confident as the Rangers were getting chance after chance. and of course, Rick Nash ties the game with his 8th goal of the year, all in the 3rd period. and below is the game winner from Marian Gaborik in overtime, on the power play nonetheless
amazing the leaping ability of Captain Cally on that play. i never knew he had hops. 4th win in a row for the boys. hopefully they get number 5 tonight against Ottawa.

big game tomorrow afternoon for the Dayton Flyers. i didn't get to go to Senior Night (bad weather and my shitty truck don't mix) but they won again. if they win on Saturday, amazingly they make the A10 tournament. even with a loss, they have a chance to make it. i really hope they don't count on the help from others route. just win baby.

Manchester United plays on Sunday against Chelsea in FA Cup play. i'm really hoping for a victory and maybe a rub your face in it kind of one. i think i'm still a little bitter from earlier in the week.

also, anytime Justin Timberlake is hosting Saturday Night Live it's usually better than normal, so i'll check that out.

i will close this blog post with a bit of sadness for me. i guess tomorrow morning the Hammer of God makes it official and announces this will be his last season with the New York Yankees. it's been an absolute pleasure and joy to watch Mo his entire career. he will go down as the greatest relief pitcher of all time and it will never be close. also, i get a good laugh from all these people writing off the Yankees already because of all the injuries and advanced ages. how many times have i seen this before? i don't understand why people refuse to learn their lessons. hopefully, when the Yankees win the division, these idiots will understand. age and experience are two different things. you're never old when you are still producing. now, if they suck this year, please forget the last 4 sentences or so. thank you.
