it warmed up enough to melt everything around here today. i went out to Big Lots since i had a 20% off coupon that was expiring soon. i found everything i was looking for and kept everything under $30. i got 5 packs of baseball cards and i got some pretty nice 2021 Topps Update Series rookies in them.
i'm not going to the basketball game tonight. my back is not really good enough right now to be able to sit that long at a game. it always gets like this in the winter. and it never fails that my back will be killing me around my birthday anymore. good times. at least the Dayton Flyers game tonight against St. Bonaventure will be on ESPN+.
i did watch a little of the NFL playoff game between the Rams and Cardinals last night. it wasn't much of a game to be honest. the Rams won, 34-11.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

it is one of those days in Ohio where the heat and humidity becomes this unbearable hell that sends all air conditioners to a constant overdrive. of course, i'm not lucky enough to just sleep easily. i have to get ice on my back, get the massage chair going and then a nap will come to me.
so i woke up to Simone Biles pulling out of the gymnastics competition this morning. i laughed at all the dumb fucks bashing her. no one really understands mental health in this country. and sadly, i doubt we ever will.
i did stay up to watch the USA women's basketball team play in the Olympics last night. they defeated Nigeria, 81-72. thank god i didn't stay up to watch the USWNT take on Australia in soccer. 0-0 draws at 4 in the morning are not my thing anymore. that point does get them to the quarterfinals though.
