the winds of hell...

i did my best to get the grocery shopping done before the weather turned to shit today. the wind has been gusting like crazy this afternoon. but, i got all the shopping done before 2 this afternoon. and thankfully, all the trash got picked up before noon today. it never fails around here, if it is trash day expect wind gusts around 50 MPH. good times.

i did get everything on the grocery list today, between Rite Aid and Kroger. and amazingly, i spent just a little over $100 total.

the New York Rangers won last night in Pittsburgh, 3-2. they play tonight in Detroit.

Young Rock was good last night.

Name That Tune was pretty good last night.

NXT was excellent last night.

i did watch a little of the NIT games last night. the finals will be Xavier vs. Texas A&M.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite, Snowfall and The Masked Singer.

the USMNT plays in Costa Rica tonight. as long as the USA doesn't lose by 6 goals tonight, they will automatically qualify for the World Cup.

and then the sunshine surprises you...

after last night's near 2 inches of rain, we had over 3 inches in the last 3 days. i've been walking around like i'm in my 80's and ready to be in a wheelchair all the time. and then today was supposed to be more of the same. of course, yet another forecast wrong. it's been sunny all damn day. that did give me a chance to do a few things outside; fix the mailbox, put up the new wind chimes, change the wreath and put out some food for the birds, since they are saying there's a chance for fucking snow in the next day or so. i feel like the weather here is simply like a random draw. it changes every few hours or whenever some fucker decides to spin the wheel.

i just loved it this morning when mom told she was out of a certain pill. i laughed and said good thing you know that after we went to the grocery store yesterday. so that meant i had to drive her to the drugstore today. good times.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Will & Grace was hilarious last night.

The Big Bang Theory was great last night.

Young Sheldon was very funny last night.

Life in Pieces was really good last night.

Gotham was spectacular last night.

Atlanta was fucking hilarious last night. clearly the best show on television.

Lip Sync Battle reminded me of why i have a crush on Rita Ora.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight as i guess all my usual shows are showing reruns because of Good Friday. so i guess i'll be flipping between hockey and baseball tonight.

the New York Yankees play tonight at Toronto. i saw they put their starting center fielder on the disabled list today. that's my one worry about what could derail them this season, injuries. hopefully they can get a win tonight and start the season in a groove.

the New York Rangers play their final home game of this shitty season tonight against Tampa. i'm interested to see how loud the ovations will be for the former Rangers tonight. and Tampa should be in a real shitty mood given their loss to Boston last night.

i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the morning.

i believe my sister is coming down tomorrow night for the Easter weekend.

i hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. if you are religious or even the pseudo i only go on Easter and Christmas religious, enjoy. as for the rest of us, try not to eat so much candy.

not the sexy pick, but...

i find it kind of funny that the Dayton Flyers hired their coach today less than 24 hours since i had a nice long chat about the coaching search with a lawyer. nothing wrong with hiring Anthony Grant. he's an alum, he's got ties to the NBA, he's won it all when he was an assistant at Florida, etc. etc. at 50 years old, he probably isn't looking to leave his alma mater. now, he certainly wasn't my choice for the job. i definitely think he deserved an interview but i would have preferred them to go the up and coming route. take the fucking chance to go out and find the next Archie Miller. instead, the young athletic director painted himself into the corner of having to one day (maybe) fire a treasured member of the alumni. good luck with that. all that being said, i know i will root my ass off for Coach Grant just like i have for every other Dayton coach. now, i hope he can get all the recruits to stay and assemble a great coaching staff. and hopefully the coach that recruited most of the new recruits that has known coach Grant and his wife for over 20 years stays on board.
now, it is kind of unfortunate that the new coach will be introduced on April Fool's Day... that's also the anniversary of my baptism. talk about fucking irony.

NXT was pretty good last night. i can't wait for Takeover: Orlando this weekend.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Big Bang Theory and Life in Pieces. i'll also probably watch some things on WWE Network tonight.

all of that is weather permitting as we are currently under a tornado watch. good times.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. if you are watching WrestleMania this weekend, i highly recommend checking it out. you can find it by going here:

i sent out 10 poems today. 4 to The Commonline Journal and 6 to In Between Hangovers. when i hear back from Tasha at In Between Hangovers, i'll pass along the verdict.

my back feels a little better today. it's still stiff as fuck, but i'm hoping a long, hot shower and more ice will help that.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i have to drive mom out to the Apple store to get her phone fixed. of course, the closest one to us is about 45 minutes away. i'm not looking forward to that drive in the rain tomorrow. fuck me runnin'.

that's all for me today kids.

spinning the wheels in my brain

after another night of not falling to sleep until 3:30 in the morning, i get the feeling i might as well just stay the fuck up for the next 4 or 5 days and then fucking crash. of course, i will be making 4 trips to Columbus and back in the next couple of days, so, for the sake of other drivers, i'll try to get some better sleep. mom has a conference up there on Thursday and Friday and i can't find anywhere comfortable in my sister's condo to sleep. so, i guess i'll see what my future vehicle is made of.

The Voice was good last night, all the usual suspects remained on the show.

Total Divas was a hot mess as usual.

i did enjoy the James Corden Carpool Karaoke special last night. it's amazing how well Jennifer Lopez has aged. DAMN.

Deadliest Catch was phenomenal last night. it's good to see some new blood on that show after so many seasons. looks like it is going to be another amazing season.

i was very happy that team USA showed the fuck up last night and easily destroyed Guatemala 4-0. it's amazing what happens when you play the players in the right positions. they should easily get to the next part of World Cup qualifying now.

sadly, the U-23 USA team didn't have the same luck that the national team did. they lost to Colombia last night 2-1. actually, Colombia scored all 3 goals and the USA only had 9 players on the field by the end. it was that kind of night. sadly, no fucking Olympics again.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll be watching NXT and some other things on WWE Network at some point tonight.

i did watch JBL's interview with Michael Hayes last night. i grew up watching The Fabulous Freebirds so i absolutely loved this interview.

i really enjoyed Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i love how Dean Ambrose is just fucking different than everyone else. hopefully the company realizes he IS going to be the face of the company whether they like it or not.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade today from one of my favorite bands EVER. i'll post the link in the music section below.

i did a little poetry work this afternoon. i'm either going to send out some poems tomorrow or wait until the weekend to do it. one batch involves going to the post office and it's supposed to be raining cats and dogs tomorrow, so i don't know. of course, once i get back home from taking mom to Columbus, what the fuck else am i going to do?

so let's just say i'll be on here tomorrow after a late afternoon trip to the post office. i do need to get some sleep tonight though. mom needs to be up there by 11 in the morning or something like that. so that means leaving here sometime before 10 in the morning, so hopefully i'll be awake.

hope this finds everyone settling into Spring or getting hammered in the afternoon, like any good writer should do.
