now, it feels like winter...

so, i didn't get to sleep until around 5 this morning. when i got up, roughly 4 or 5 hours later, i looked to see what the temperature was outside. my phone said 0 but feels like -11. oh joy, now winter is definitely here.

i was hoping to get this done before Manchester United started today. so much for that. they are currently playing at home against Tottenham. it is 2-2 in the second half.

the New York Rangers pissed away a lead yesterday and lost at Washington, 3-2. they play them at home today. hopefully, they end this fucking losing streak.

i did watch both NFL playoff games yesterday. the Texans whipped the Browns, 45-14. the Chiefs beat the Dolphins last night, 26-7. today, the games are Packers at Cowboys and Rams at Lions.

AEW Collision and AEW Battle of the Belts were both pretty good last night.

Austin City Limits was excellent last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of The Curse, Power Book III: Raising Kanan and True Detective: Night Country.

i did go to Rite Aid yesterday to pick up some prescriptions. that looks like a wise decision as it was probably 20 degrees warmer yesterday.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:

hope everyone stays warm today.

a great start to a Saturday...

i couldn't find a comfortable position to sleep in last night, so it was a series of naps at best all night long. i knew Manchester United was playing this morning, so i was hoping to get a little decent sleep so i could watch the game. that didn't happen either. so, i basically slept through the first half. it was 0-0 at halftime, and i decided to get up. as soon as i was going to put the game on, Manchester City went up 1-0. well fuck, i'm not going to watch it now. so, somewhere between my emails and breakfast, Manchester United scored 2 goals in 4 minutes. Bruno and Rashford put United up 2-1. thankfully, that was the final score. now, United is only 1 point behind City in the Premier League.

so, Manchester United was the first leg of my crazy 3 team parlay bet this morning. i actually made it a few days ago so i wouldn't talk myself out of it. i had Brighton beating Liverpool and Wolves beating West Ham as the other two legs. well, HOLY SHIT!!! Brighton won 3-0 and Wolves won 1-0. that turned my little $10 bet into $412.65. as i told my mother this morning, sometimes i just feel like a fucking genius. so yeah, i am in a pretty damn good mood, which is a complete 180 from where i was last night after the Dayton Flyers game.

the Dayton Flyers pissed away a 14 point halftime lead last night and lost at home to VCU, 63-62. it was the first time in awhile that you could tell just how much Dayton misses their starting guards. and i'll never understand why Anthony Grant doesn't have his teams drilled into their heads about taking care of the ball in the last few minutes of games. oh well.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW Rampage was excellent last night.

Young Rock was pretty funny last night.

the New York Knicks won last night in Washington, 112-108, over the Wizards.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

so i won both of my NBA bets last night and just missed winning my NHL bet last night. i have plenty of NFL bets going today since the playoffs start today.

on the DVR tonight will be Austin City Limits.

i do plan on watching both NFL playoff games today. Seattle is at the 49ers and the Chargers are at Jacksonville.

i probably will hit Rite Aid at some point today to pick up my prescription. i was a little shocked when they texted me at noon and said it was ready.

i have to give myself my Trulicity shot here in a little bit, so that is all for me kids.

i should be on here in the morning tomorrow.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

well, at least i wrote a couple poems...

my fear is becoming true i think. writing poetry to me was always easy. making it good got easier the more i wrote. then of course, my ego decided everything i wrote was good. that lasted for a good number of years. now, writing poetry is like trying to squeeze water out of a rock. i wrote 2 poems last night, and it felt like i had to move the mountains to even get that done. i have the feeling i need one of those blackout drunk nights from my 20's to sort of reset everything. and i know i'm not lucky enough that i would die from it. it is this ongoing depression mixed with apathy and pure fucking frustration. and then knowing all the bridges have been burnt and no one is coming around to just say hello. joy. but, i did find out today that all my prescriptions got transferred to the Rite Aid in town. so, that will be a different experience. as long as it eases my frustration with the new insurance, i'll be better off. fuck, i had all these plans today...

the New York Rangers defeated San Jose last night, 3-0.

Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.

Young Sheldon was pretty funny last night.

United States of Al was good last night.

B Positive was hilarious last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage, Chillin Island and Ray Donovan The Movie. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.

i should be on here tomorrow in the morning since the Dayton Flyers and Manchester United will be playing at the same time tomorrow. plus, the NFL playoffs start tomorrow as well.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

i need to go figure out what i'm making for dinner.
