well, at least that's over...

 i almost had a feeling that the New York Rangers were going to find a way yesterday to stay alive in the playoff chase. i quickly saw how foolish that thought was after the first 40 minutes. they lost at Carolina yesterday, 7-3. that eliminates them from the chance to make the playoffs. they are the 4th team to win the President's trophy the previous year and miss the playoffs the next. the Rangers have actually done that twice now. the last time they did it, they won the Stanley Cup the next season. oh, if only history could fucking repeat itself.

i also hope to get some more sleep.

mom wanted me to cook breakfast this morning. i made some bacon and cheesy eggs, with toast. i joked that she better get up early if she wanted it. amazingly, she was up and in her chair in the living room by 6 AM. i laughed.
