reality strikes again

so imagine my thoughts in this situation. i'm getting ready to eat breakfast this morning and my mother starts to choke on something. she races to her bathroom and i kind of linger, just in case. then i heard her mumble/scream my name and i thought oh shit. so, i start doing the Heimlich and then pounding on her back. i was trying to walk that thin line of hard enough to help but not hard enough to break. thankfully, she was able to breathe and swallow after a few good hits. i asked her about 30 minutes later how she felt and she said she was sore but not too bad. so i would like to think i did a good job of walking the line there. of course, i'd rather not have to do that again. i doubt i get that lucky.

i did write 4 poems today. amazingly none about choking. i'll probably type those up sometime tonight or tomorrow.

i ended up winning all 3 of my fantasy football matchups. i got the Monday Night Football game wrong though, so 9-5 once again for the week.

Monday Night Raw was sort of a snooze fest last night. i probably only enjoyed 2 segments, one of which John Cena fucked up once again. isn't his break coming up soon.

The Voice last night was pretty good. i wasn't shocked by any of the saves or steals. that's a good thing. i did love this battle the most:

Gotham was fucking amazing last night. the show is so damn good. as i said in a recent interview, if i could tell my younger self anything it would be to choose comic books instead of baseball cards.

The Big Bang Theory and Life in Pieces were hilarious last night.

the New York Rangers take on Winnipeg tonight at home. hopefully the boys can keep the winning going.

team USA plays Costa Rica today in a soccer friendly. i guess we'll see if the players still want to play for the coach or not tonight.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, The Muppets and Scream Queens. hopefully the DVR won't fuck up tonight as i will be watching hockey most of the night.

that's all for me today. i have to drive mom to run an errand and get all the trash picked up here and next door. good times.
