welcome to march...

so, today was pretty good. i did get to bed late last night, so i didn't get up this morning until almost 9 AM. the contractor was here around 10 and he got a lot done today. plus, he helped us out big time taking the trash and the old recliner to the dump for us. the bathroom is getting closer to getting done.

so, i did the grocery shopping and got back here in time to watch the Manchester United game. they were playing West Ham today in the FA Cup. West Ham went up 1-0 in the second half. i was getting increasingly frustrated. and then ETH started to work his magic. he brought on some subs and really cranked up the pressure and sure enough, just like any David Moyes side would do, West Ham started to wilt. United got a gift in a West Ham own goal to tie the game at 1. Garnacho scored a peach of a goal in the 90th minute to have United go up 2-1. Fred Scored in the 96th minute to make it 3-1. United won the game 3-1 and now are in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. they will play Fulham at home in the next round.

the Dayton Flyers won last night at home against La Salle, 77-53. that gives them 20 wins on the season and clinches the double bye in the A10 tournament.

NXT was really good last night.

both episodes of MLW were pretty good last night.

i need to drive mom to a doctor she's never been to before tomorrow. so, i'm a little leery since she has anxiety and hates being in the car too long. i know she wants to go to Applebee's after the appointment. i guess i will be on here after we get back home.

here comes the humidity...

it wasn't the heat today, it was the fucking humidity. when i got back from the bank and Rite Aid, mom told me it looked like i was sweating. no shit sherlock. by the way, she didn't have physical therapy today. she was discharged from it as she hasn't seen a doctor since her last fall. her therapist doesn't want to see her until she has seen the doctor. i think the earliest appointment she could get was a month from now. good times.

today is the trade deadline in the MLB. i am thrilled that the Yankees traded Joey Gallo away. he is going to the Dodgers for a AA pitcher. plus, the Dodgers are taking all the money left on his contract, so that saved the Yankees 3.7 million.

the biggest trade of the day was the Padres getting Juan Soto.

i'm expecting a ton of moves right before the deadline at 6 PM.

so, i did make it to the bank today. the line was much longer than i was expecting, but i do know in these hot ass days, my patience is a good thing. after that, i went to Rite Aid. i was able to get everything i was looking for.

so the Yankees just traded Jordan Montgomery to the Cardinals for an injured outfielder. that one is a head scratcher for me as i know Harrison Bader is a wonderful defender in centerfield, but i have no clue when he will be healthy enough to play.

Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. HHH running things has been a breath of fresh fucking air.

Don't Forget the Lyrics was good last night.

Industry was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Deadliest Catch and What We Do in the Shadows.

the Yankees won last night over Seattle, 7-2. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

i should be on here tomorrow in the morning. i'm going to try to get the blog done before i go to do the grocery shopping. the Yankees play in the afternoon, so i know i'm going to miss some of the game tomorrow. by doing the blog early, i at least won't miss all of the game.

i need to get the trash picked up and figure out what is for dinner, so that's all for me kids.

until tomorrow...

3 hours and i couldn't come up with one damn poem...

i was at the dealership for more than 3 hours today. i guess they had to replace one of the brakes, plus the wipers, do an oil change, rotate the tires, etc. of course, the parts they needed for the brakes they didn't have, so i had to wait. joy. i took my little notebook with me, hoping to get a little writing done while i was there. i had a few lines come to me, but i could never get a whole poem out of them. not exactly the way i wanted to end the month. fuck...

congrats to the Tampa Bay Lightning on winning the Stanley Cup. i'm so happy for Ryan McDonagh and Kevin Shattenkirk, two ex-Rangers who deserve this.

The Third Day was fucking crazy and great last night.

We Are Who We Are was really good last night.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

i did watch a little of the NFL game last night between the Ravens and Chiefs.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight.

i'll be watching the Yankees vs. Indians game for most of the evening. both teams have their best pitchers going, so it will either be a low scoring game or an offensive shootout because the baseball gods make no fucking sense in 2020. i'd love for the Yankees to win tonight, seeing that it's a best 2 of 3 for this round. i don't think they can win two games in a row that they need to win at this point of the season. now, if the Yankees bats suddenly come to life, it's a whole different story.

i need to pick up the trash here and next door and figure out dinner, so that's all for me kids.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

enjoy your evening. (and no, i'm not watching the debate)
