i woke up this morning to the trees and grass just covered in ice. amazingly, the driveway wasn't that bad at all. i was able to get down to the street for the paper and mail without having to worry. mom didn't go to physical therapy today. she's not feeling well and with the amount of snot she's bringing up, i'm pretty sure she made the right call.
so, of course, i've been watching the videos of the war out of Ukraine. i'm hoping the capital doesn't fall, but i'm also a realist. i wouldn't put it past the Russians to kill the elected president of Ukraine on live television. god knows all Putin wants is his puppet government to run the country the way he wants. and i did see the stories about the Baltic nations wondering if they are next. that answer would be yes. this motherfucker is hell bent on reforming the Soviet Union before his puppet takes the throne. i swear, this is why i miss the threat of assassination of political figures. when that went away, these assholes knew there were no consequences for their actions. personally, i hope the sanctions cripple all those rich fucks in Russia and makes them obsolete from the world. now, i know they have more money than any fuck can imagine. and, i know the banks probably will play both sides of this because they love money more than they have morals (i know, i just choked on my laughter as well). i'm not a big fan of the USA getting involved in this shit, but i thought this was what the C.I.A. was supposed to take care of. oh well. keep fighting for your freedom. never let anyone take it from you. and i do hope the Molotov cocktails come in handy.
the New York Rangers defeated Washington last night, 4-1. that made me happy.
