happy birthday to my mother...

well, since the last time i was on here, some things have happened... i wrote 4 poems yesterday while mom was in her physical therapy session. i typed those up eventually last night. they are pretty good. on the way to lunch after physical therapy, saw a really good car accident. two women, both on the phone, in a construction zone. the jokes write themselves people. mom wanted to have lunch at Lee's. she got a free lunch for her birthday. we ate in the restaurant. it wasn't bad. got back home and was going to go to Kroger last night for mom's pills. she said go on Friday instead. ah, the beauty of hindsight...

so, i got up this morning later than i wanted and put on some cinnamon rolls for mom's birthday breakfast. i had to go to Lowe's to get the garage door lubricant i ran out of. mom wanted me to find her a snake plant. they had everything but that there. after that, i went to Big Lots and found some hockey cards. then, i went to Dollar General and found some baseball cards. after that, i went to the bank to deposit my check. and then finally, i went to Kroger. i had to get mom's pills, a birthday cake and some hand soap. and while i was waiting in line, i got her some alcohol for her birthday. she texted me as i was getting ready to leave the parking lot, wondering where i was. i figured she would enjoy some time alone.

the USMNT defeated Mexico last night, 3-0. the game was ugly, which i was kind of expecting as Mexico has fallen way behind the USA now in soccer. 4 red cards in the game. the USA will play Canada Sunday for the CONCACAF Nations League title, but they will be without McKinnie and Dest. plus, i wasn't thrilled with the news last night that they were hiring the old coach back again.

NJPW was really good last night.

who needs sleep

i didn't get to bed until 3 in the morning. i figured 4 hours would be plenty. my mother woke me up 30 minutes after those 4 hours. i figured my brain was on central time. this is pretty much how the next few weeks are going to go. and i know i won't be sleeping much after my mother has her hip replacement. good times.

the doctor who did the work on my mom's back is going to leave it up to the guy doing her hip to figure out what the best route to take in physical therapy is. that's covering your ass 101 right there.

this afternoon i took mom to get her taxes done. there's a Dollar General store right next door to where she goes. nothing quite like feeling like a creep walking around a dollar store looking at a ton of useless shit and hoping to find something actually good. i bought a lemonade. about 45 minutes later, mom was finally done. she seemed pretty happy about it. we went to Waffle House for a late lunch. we haven't gone there in a long time.

Monday Night Raw was ok last night but certainly not what i was hoping for going into WrestleMania.

The Voice was pretty good last night.

Rock and a Hard Place was very good last night. it certainly held my attention for the whole 90 minutes.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and WWE Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live later tonight on WWE Network.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Podcast today. you can find that by going here:

the New York Rangers play tonight in San Jose against the Sharks. hopefully the boys can get a victory tonight.

the USA plays another MUST WIN game tonight at Panama. now, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world, but another 3 points will go a long way. if they do win tonight, they will be in much better shape in World Cup qualifying.

i think i have to drive mom tomorrow to update her will. that sounds like a fun trip.

i really need to do some poetry work tonight. i've got to either write or figure out what poems are going where. the creative juices are starting to leak out of me. it's not a pretty picture.

the trash is all picked up so that's all for me today kids.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
