and now the rain...

i swear, the rain has been just enough today to make my back feel like an elephant has strapped himself to me and just won't let go. these are the days where i think there isn't enough heroin in the world to take this pain away. joy.

i did have a lovely conversation last night with the Spanish princess. i can imagine if i lived closer to her, what adventures my life would be filled with now. i think both of us dream about what could be, though we both know the odds are so fucking stacked against us, how many times do we really want to roll that ball up the mountain?

the New York Rangers lost last night in Tampa in a shootout, 2-1. that was beyond fucking frustrating to watch, but at least they got a point out of the game.

team USA won at the World Juniors yesterday, defeating Switzerland, 5-1. that sets up a winner take the group game tomorrow against Finland.

the New York Knicks lost last night in San Antonio, 122-115.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

i did watch some college football last night:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and AEW Rampage. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

i have my favorite songs of the year lined up for tomorrow's blog. it is a pretty eclectic mix i believe.

tomorrow is going to be one of the crazy days for me that has sports on from the moment i wake up until i probably go to sleep. i should be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the morning.

hard to believe yet another year is coming to an end. hard to believe i'm not dead, hard to believe my mother has cheated death again, hard to believe the words still find me from time to time, hard to believe that i still have to burn fucking bridges in 2022. luckily for me, there won't be many left after this year, so... while i know it won't be smooth sailing ahead, i feel like i am in a much better position to actually do something about it. and in two days i can finally legally gamble on sports in this small minded redneck bible thumping state... time to see if i still have the smarts to turn $20 into $400 like i did so many years ago.

more on that in 2023. i am ready for 2022 to be over. hopefully, it goes out with a bang.

until tomorrow kids...

of course it would be raining...

just as i have learned a few positions that i can actually get a good couple of hours of sleep with the pinched nerves in my neck, it had to be fucking raining. these are the days where you can lean into the pain, do all the fucking mind tricks you can think of, and it still won't fucking matter. joy.

DIRECTV fucked up our baseball package last night. every blue moon or so, it will say we don't have the package even though we have made payments for it for the last 15 years or so. mom was in a mood last night, so she called customer service. eventually, on the second call, the problem got fixed. in hindsight, maybe i should of just let it go.

the Yankees lost last night to Baltimore, 2-1, in 11 innings. the same shit from last season is showing up this season. the inability to get a fucking hit when it matters. this is still an all or nothing team, and more times than not, especially against teams they should destroy, nothing is all they fucking get.

WWE Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was good last night.

Bill Maher #Adulting was pretty funny last night.

A Black Lady Sketch Show was fucking hilarious last night.

here are your 3 videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and AEW Battle of the Belts 2.

Manchester United plays this morning at home against Norwich. if United loses today, i can just imagine the boos coming from Old Trafford. they will be heard around the world.

the New York Rangers play this afternoon at home against Detroit.

the NBA playoffs start tonight.

and i should get my order from Wish.com today as well.

and i might just put out another SoundCloud recording this afternoon.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.
