now the rain comes...

 i woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. i was wondering why my back was killing me.

the New York Yankees lost last night at Colorado, 7-2. they play again tonight.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was good last night.

i will probably watch some of the MLS tonight as well.

i was hoping to make it to the bank this morning, but mom didn't have my check ready yet.

running behind...

 i've been running behind all day today. but, i did get everything done, for the most part. Rite Aid had all my prescriptions ready, thankfully. two of them must have been ready before the new year as they cost me nothing. i never got the text saying they were ready, joy. i did find everything that was on the grocery list. couldn't keep it up under $100 at Kroger this week though. 

the New York Rangers won last night at home over Carolina, 5-3. that ended Carolina's long winning streak.

NXT was excellent last night.

the Dayton Flyers play at home tonight against Saint Joseph's. Dayton is 14 point favorites, so they should win.

team USA plays Canada tonight in the World Juniors semifinals. the winner will play Czechia for the gold tomorrow.

the New York Knicks play tonight at home against San Antonio.

i believe mom has a nurse visit here tomorrow at noon. so, i should be on here after that is over.

i need to do some writing tonight. i have editors asking for poems, which lets me know, i really need to strike up the band again.

i need to get started on dinner tonight, plus my bad back is killing me. good times.

had a little luck today...

 so, after i went to the bank today to deposit a check, i decided to go to Meijer. i was hoping to find some baseball cards. i ended up buying a Gypsy Queen box of cards, 1 pack of Diamond Kings and 4 packs of 2022 Topps Series 2. had a couple good cards in the Gypsy Queen box. found a great rookie in the Diamond Kings pack (Oneil Cruz) and found the rookie card i have been hunting for awhile in the Topps packs (Wander Franco). i also got a couple of binders to put some pages of cards in as some of my other binders are getting way too big now. all in all, i spent $75. i think there was somewhere around $60 worth of cards in what i opened today. i was hoping to find some Bowman cards but i didn't have any luck with that.

the Yankees left a small village on base last night and lost to Boston, 5-4, in 11 innings. i hope they win tonight but the way they are playing right now, i won't be holding my breath.

i didn't sleep well last night, but i did get a shave and shower done, so there's that. my arthritis has been acting up today. plenty of rain in the area, just enough to drive me nuts.
