enjoying a little sunshine...

i was up at 8:30 this morning, after roughly 3 hours of sleep. i let mom sleep until 9:30. we made it to her appointment on time this morning. the x-rays showed that her back is getting worse. the doctor made a bigger emphasis that surgery is a bigger option now if the shots don't work. i get the feeling she's going to be at the option of either surgery or constant pain before too long. good times.

the Super Bowl was pretty good last night. i'm not sure if it was more that the 49ers blew it or that Patrick Mahomes won it for the Chiefs. Kansas City won 31-20 after the 49ers were up 10 in the 4th quarter.

i thought the commercials were pretty good last night. my favorites were the Bill Murray one and the Jason Momoa one.

The Masked Singer was good last night.

My Cartoon President was hilarious last night.

The Outsider was really creepy last night.

Avenue 5 was pretty funny last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was fucking funny as hell last night.

i wish the right team was playing today...

i'm still not quite over the refs fucking over the New Orleans Saints, especially since today is Super Bowl Sunday. i do plan on watching most of the game, mostly so i can bitch about both teams and hopefully enjoy some commercials.

i did watch the Dayton Flyers game yesterday. it's probably a good thing i didn't go. i would have either had a heart attack or been arrested at the game. Dayton made a huge comeback to beat Duquesne yesterday, 68-64. Dayton's lone senior didn't play the last 17:59 of the game, all because the coach decided not to play him. the number of times i implored the team to ignore their coach yesterday was in the hundreds. Dayton plays its best when it is out and running. their coach wants them to slow the ball down and squeeze every possession like its the last one you will ever have. it's obvious he doesn't understand the concept of imposing your will on the other team. plus, it's fucking impossible to ask 18 to 22 year old men to think while playing a game. it's obvious Coach Grant doesn't understand that humans are creatures of instinct. thought doesn't come into the picture. and the only reason Dayton won yesterday was the fact that Duquesne had absolutely no one that could stop Obi Toppin.

after that, i watched some of the USA vs. Costa Rica men's soccer friendly. the USA won 2-0.

during the second half of the game, i went and got a haircut. i was in and out and got back home to see the last 10 minutes of the game. i like the haircut and with the temperatures rising, i should feel a little better.

WWE Worlds Collide last night was good.

Celebrity Big Brother was good last night.

the New York Rangers lost to Tampa Bay last night, 3-2. i didn't watch any of the game.

the Foo Fighters concert last night was fucking amazing. 2 1/2 hours of me playing air guitar and just loving it.

Austin City Limits was excellent last night.

ROH was really good last night.

so i thought i'd be a good boy and check my email last night. when i got that done, it was nearly 4 in the morning. i went to go take my pill i take before bed, but i dropped it. i went to pick it up and sure enough, i hit my head on the corner of the desk by my window. of course, there was blood. i got that stopped before i went to sleep. good times.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be True Detective, Crashing and High Maintenance. i'll watch WWE Halftime Heat on WWE Network during halftime of the Super Bowl.

so i got up this morning and Manchester United was already winning 1-0. that is how it stayed for the rest of the game. that's 10 straight unbeaten for United. they are now in 5th place, just 2 points out of 4th.

i did hear back from AuthorsPress in India on the poem i sent them back in November 2018. the poem was not included in the anthology i submitted it for, but they are going to use it in one of their literary journals.

i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. mom has physical therapy in the afternoon and i know i want to go to the bank in the morning. so, probably late in the afternoon on Monday i guess.

best of luck to everyone gambling on the Super Bowl today.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

espero que ambos equipos pierdan
