the holidays...

before i get into why i hate the holidays, a little poetry news to get to first.

i sent out 11 poems today. 1 to the AuthorsPress in New Delhi, India for a poetry anthology to be published in 2019, 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash and Academy Of The Heart And Mind. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

coming from a dysfunctional family, i never have liked the holidays. and the more i am removed from my childhood, the more i realize so is any chance of me truly liking them. i can play the part, be civil, etc., but there will never be the pure joy that some people have for these days. so yeah...

i didn't mind who got let go last night on The Voice. all my favorites are still on the show.

Smackdown was pretty good last night. i absolutely loved how Daniel Bryan explained his heel turn.

The Jim Jefferies Show was excellent last night. congrats on becoming an American citizen Jim.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch 205 Live and NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i did watch both episodes of NXT UK this afternoon. they were excellent.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight against Butler down in the Bahamas. this will be Dayton's first true test of the season. i'm hoping they do well tonight.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against the fucking Islanders. i'd really love to see the Rangers win tonight.

my sister came down here this afternoon. i believe she's here for the next few days. this is usually when i realize why alcohol was created in the first place.

i had a great conversation with the muse today. anytime you can have a conversation that ranges from the death penalty to fantasy football to exploding crack pipes to Thanksgiving racism... i truly do hope to marry this woman one day.

i will be on here in the morning tomorrow. Dayton will play tomorrow either at 4 PM or 9:30 PM. i really hope Dayton wins tonight, since the New Orleans Saints play Atlanta tomorrow night.

if anyone still has to travel for tomorrow, safe travels. i hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

¿QuĂ© va mejor con el alcohol? pavo o odio?

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

it's not easy doing math on the fly in a damn zoo...

i don't know what makes the grocery store a fucking zoo at 2 in the afternoon on a Friday in October. is it the possibility of fucking snow in the air tomorrow night? is it the rush to get shit done before high school football? is it the need to buy lottery tickets? ok, i do understand that one. if the line wouldn't have been 15 fucking people deep at the time, i probably would have got some tickets as well. anyways, i was able to get everything on the list and keep it under $100. mom was fucking shocked.

a little poetry update. i did send out 23 poems this morning. 3 to Red Eft Review (already heard back, 1 accepted for publication) and 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash, Academy Of The Heart And Mind, Fourth & Sycamore and North of Oxford. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

i did watch plenty of LeBron's first game for the Lakers last night. now, as a Sacramento Kings fan, to watch the Lakers lose was delicious to see. but, i am also a LeBron fan and i am fascinated to see the circus this season with him on the Lakers. let's just say, he didn't disappoint last night.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night.

Young Sheldon was very funny last night.

Will & Grace was fucking hilarious last night. i swear the show is just as good as it was back in the day.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Pod Save America.

i'll probably watch some hockey at some point tonight as well.

i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays at Chelsea in the morning.

i'm not expecting to be in a good mood.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.
