Manchester United got yet another draw on the road today at Stoke. i wasn't pleased when they fell behind 90 seconds into the game. thankfully Falcao scored 25 minutes later. United didn't do much in the second half. neither team really did as the weather turned to shit. but, that's typical for England... all the time. once again, i'll keep the mindset that it's better to get one point than no points. i believe they have the FA Cup match coming up this weekend. that should be interesting.
the New York Rangers got back to their winning ways last night with a 5-2 win in Florida. here are some highlights from the game:
Canada beat team USA 5-3 in the 2015 World Juniors yesterday. the last 3 minutes of the game were fucking nuts. but, the result pretty much went how i thought it would go. now, the USA will have to beat Russia tomorrow to have a chance at a medal. and then of course, they would have to beat the two unbeaten teams left, Sweden and Canada, to win the gold. i'll be shocked if they actually play for a medal.
i didn't do much last night. after the hockey game, i listened to the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast and then did a shot of whiskey and grabbed a beer and waited for the ball to drop. i'll be 39 years old on the 21st of this month and i've never had a kiss at the stroke of the new year. just typing that makes me want to go put a shotgun in my mouth. i keep hearing this myth that life actually begins at 40. why do i have the funny feeling that i'm going to be the exception to the rule? of course, this could just be the pain talking.
after i get done with this, i'm going to settle in to watch some of what's left of The Winter Classic and some of the college football bowl games. hopefully i get a good nap in before Ohio State takes on Alabama tonight. if Ohio State can pull off that upset, then they will have a chance to play for the national championship. hopefully i'll be savoring a victory beer late tonight.
hopefully your 2015 has started way better than mine. if not, i'm sure there is enough room in this river of misery for both of us. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...
