the start of a long weekend...

so, roughly 10 minutes after i got this blog done yesterday, mom was in the bathroom puking. needless to say, she didn't go to her foot doctor yesterday. i called and told them what was going on. they understood and were really cool with cancelling. now i need to make sure mom reschedules that appointment soon. mom and i had a long talk last night. her memory has gone to complete shit anymore, so she has to write everything down. and i mean everything, like when to wake up, what to do when she does, when to take her nap, etc. so, my smart ass told her to write down to remember to breathe and stop procrastinating. that didn't go over well. but, she did actually sleep some last night. i didn't hear any outbursts from her at 3 or 4 in the morning, so i was able to get some sleep as well. apparently not enough though, as i put some ice on my back this afternoon and slept 2 more hours. that basically screwed up the timing of what i wanted to get done today. so, i'm guessing i am going to try to get a hair cut sometime tomorrow. or maybe next week.

Manchester United defeated Chelsea yesterday, 4-1. they will be in the Champions League next year. they play Fulham at home on Sunday to end the regular season. they also have the FA Cup final coming up as well.

the New York Yankees lost last night at home to Baltimore, 3-1. they start a series tonight at home against San Diego.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night.

Vice News Tonight was excellent last night.

NJPW was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage, Being Mary Tyler Moore and Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

i should be on here in the morning tomorrow as WWE Night of Champions starts at noon tomorrow.

i think mom is finally ready to plant the flowers she got nearly a week ago. i told her she might want to get them planted before they die. as you might imagine, i'm not much on flowers, etc. hell, i don't even care for the plastic ones.

if you are traveling this Memorial Day weekend, please be safe. since it is the unofficial start of the summer, you know all the crazy motherfuckers will be out and about.

i had to run to the local grocery store today to get some potato salad and macaroni salad for the weekend. i got a really nice pork tenderloin that should give us multiple meals for the weekend.

i got my order from Walk Off Wax today. i did get some pretty nice baseball cards in the packs. a decent rookie slab as well.

i need to figure out dinner tonight, so that's all for me kids.

until tomorrow morning...

the winter blues, once again...

it was sort of gloomy today, a little snow, a little sunshine, wind blowing like a motherfucker... one of those days i knew i was only going to go outside once (to get the paper and mail) and that was it. add in some pain in my back and it has been more or less one of those days to forget.

the New York Rangers lost to Boston last night, 3-2 in OT. i swear to god, if this team would simply look to shoot the fucking puck instead of always trying to make the perfect pass...

NXT was really good last night. i can't wait for Takeover on Sunday.

AEW was really good last night as well.

The Masked Dancer was good last night. i had a hunch that the Zebra was a boxer, but i never thought it was Oscar De La Hoya. the finals are next week.

Name That Tune was good last night. i was a little shocked at some of the songs the contestants didn't know.

so, late last night i bought some baseball cards from Walk Off Wax. they had a sale going on and i figured i might as well give them a try. here is a link to their website:

here are your links for this day of Black History Month:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Young Sheldon, B Positive, The Unicorn, Clarice and Desus & Mero. i watched NXT UK this afternoon. it was excellent.

i know i have to go out tomorrow and pick up some pills for my mother. i have a coupon for $5 off at Big Lots that i will probably end up using tomorrow as well. if the weather is good, i may do a little card hunting to see if i can find any new baseball or even basketball, hockey or football cards.

i may try getting some writing done tonight. i have some thoughts swimming in my head that i should probably get down on paper before they drown.

that's all for me kids.
