happy easter to everyone that celebrates this. for the rest of us, hope you enjoy the candy. for us diabetics, well, i share in the misery. my body has decided it can no longer break down chocolate, so i have given it up. so, easter to me has now become a cruel mistress of past joy.
so, since we are on the misery tip, let me talk about Manchester United. United was fucking awful yesterday. after 15 minutes, you could tell they were completely uninterested in the game. if Brentford would have been clinical yesterday in the final third, they would have won by three or four goals. instead, Mason Mount scored late for United. and probably no sooner than i said don't fuck this up, Brentford equalized. 1-1 draw. a point that United didn't deserve at all.
the New York Rangers won yesterday at the Coyotes, 8-5. Jonathan Quick now has the most goalie wins for any American born goalie.
the New York Yankees won last night at the Astros, 5-3. third straight come from behind win. hopefully, they will get the sweep this afternoon.
i did watch some college basketball last night. congrats to UConn and Alabama. the other half of the final four will be set today.
AEW Collision was good last night.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:

a big thank you to everyone that checked out my latest published poem:
i know the plan was to get some sleep at some point yesterday. so, when i was still up at 3 in the morning, i only could laugh. i went to bed and woke up 5 hours later, almost feeling refreshed. well, i've got shit to do today, so that's all i'm going to get.
yesterday was one of those days where i love being a sports fan, although i am certain it will send me to an early grave.
Manchester United was down 2-0 yesterday and i really wasn't happy. sadly, i wasn't surprised either. and then around the 70th minute, it all changed. United started to finally get some results for their reckless abandon they were playing with. Mata scored. 6 minutes later Martial scored. and then holy shit, in the 90 minute, Alexis scored. well, well, well, i didn't see a 3-2 win coming at halftime, that's for sure.
Ohio State played exactly how i feared they would yesterday. thankfully, it didn't last all game. they allowed Indiana to hang around, but eventually buried them in the 4th quarter, winning 49-26.
the New York Rangers lost last night at Buffalo, 3-1. yet another game where they played well enough to win. but, they ran into a hot goalie and more shitty officiating. joy. the Rangers play this afternoon at Carolina.
the New York Yankees broke out the long ball last night and defeated Boston, 6-2. Aaron Judge hit a mammoth shot in the first and Gary Sanchez hit 2 home runs, including one that went 479 feet. he's the first Yankee catcher to hit 2 home runs in a playoff game since Yogi Berra in 1956. the Yankees are off today and play Game 3 in the Bronx on Monday night. they know now if they just win the home games, they will advance.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
ROH was really good last night.

since the New Orleans Saints play tomorrow night, today will mostly be a laundry day for me.
i suppose i should wear some clean clothes to my physical therapy appointment tomorrow.
i will probably be on here early tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

so i spent most of last night sending emails to the security team at Gofundme showing when i got the money and when i sent the money to Debbie. this morning i sent a screenshot from my checking account that shows all 3 wires i sent her and the wire sent from the grocery store via Western Union. i'm really hoping that takes care of this bullshit. and honestly, once i sent the money, i don't think i can be held responsible for what the crazy bitch on the other end does with it. part of me believes the stupid fuck thinks it was her ex putting the money in as that would continue the narrative in her head that he actually still loves her. someone should be preparing for a hard fucking crash. and honestly, i wouldn't mind if this was the last fucking time i ever had to write something about Debbie in this fucking blog.
"It" was a pretty good movie last night. i enjoyed it. laughed way more than i thought i was going to. my mind is twisted enough that it really takes some truly fucking crazy horror shit to actually scare me anymore.
ROH was really good last night.
the New York Yankees got their asses handed to them last night by Boston, 11-0. the Yankees only had 2 damn hits in the game. hopefully, they will do a better job tonight. if they win tonight, they win the series and will be tied again in the division.
here is your World Cup update:
what a crazy day. Russia defeated Spain on penalty kicks (4-3) as it was so fucking obvious that Spain was more interested in passing than scoring today. and then Croatia defeated Denmark on penalty kicks (3-2) in one of the more dramatic penalty shootouts i can remember. if you ask me, Croatia has a pretty open road to a possible berth in the finals. tomorrow, Brazil plays Mexico and Belgium takes on Japan.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, The Affair, I'm Dying Up Here, Succession and Last Week Tonight.
NHL free agency started today. i didn't expect the New York Rangers to do much and they haven't. they signed one of their own restricted free agents and a defenseman from Ottawa. i guess the biggest news of the day was what Toronto did. thank god John Tavares is out of the division now.
my sister came down for a little bit today. she brought some shoes she got for mom. mom liked 2 of the 4 my sister brought. we had lunch together and then she went back to her home. i was kind of surprised she was out in this heat, but it was nice seeing her.
i did write a poem this morning for the woman i have fallen madly in love with in Rome. i really like it and hope to get it published. i ended up writing 50 poems in June. so, since April 1st to July 1st i have written 184 poems. not bad.
not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. it might be after the World Cup games, it might be earlier. i know i have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday coming up and i do believe they are measuring the windows on July 5th to get an accurate measurement for our new windows for the house. that, plus the insulation we did 2 years ago, should really help with energy costs.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday has been even better. hopefully your Sunday night is even better than that.

the way people were acting in the grocery store this afternoon, you would think the snow they are calling for is actually the end of the world sneaking up on us. the store was out of shit left and right. it was like people lined up this morning to pick through everything. on top of that, it has been raining all fucking day. so you can just imagine the joy i have had today.
on to the poetry news. i sent out 37 poems this morning. 3 each to The Beatnik Cowboy and The Apache Poetry Blog (already heard from); 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash (already heard from), Brief Wilderness, Duane's PoeTree (already heard from), Synchronized Chaos (already heard from) and Misfit Magazine; 6 poems went to The Record magazine. when i hear back from the rest of these places, i will pass along the verdicts.
NXT was really good last night.
Total Divas was pretty good last night.
The X-Files was excellent last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces and Will & Grace.
i have had a splitting headache since i woke up this morning. i get the feeling i may have to drink myself to sleep tonight.
i'm definitely not going to the basketball game tomorrow night after the latest forecast. we're supposed to get a nice thick layer of ice before we get anywhere from 2 to 6 inches of snow. oh great. you would have no clue it's going to turn to that after today with it in the fucking 50's and rainy.
i knew going into the season finale of Homeland last night, someone from the main cast was going to die. that was just how the show was going this season. the fact that it was Peter Quinn was a bit shocking. he's one of the characters i have truly loved over all the seasons of the show. at least he went out like i'm sure he wanted to... gunfire galore. overall, it was a pretty damn good finale. next season should be fascinating.
Girls was very good last night. the series finale next week should be very interesting.
the season finale of Crashing last night was hilarious. i have no clue if there will be a season 2, but i did enjoy all the comedians on season 1.
Last Week Tonight was fucking great as always last night.
Billions was really good last night. i can't wait to see how the final scene will set up the rest of the season.
Feud: Bette and Joan was excellent once again last night.
the New York Yankees won yesterday 7-3, avoiding the sweep in Baltimore. that should help them be in a better mood for the home opener today against Tampa.
the New York Rangers won their final regular season game last night against Pittsburgh 3-2. hopefully they will be ready for a long playoff run when they play up in Montreal on Wednesday.
i was very happy that i got to have 3 victory drinks yesterday. 2 rum and cokes and 1 wild turkey and coke. and amazingly, my blood sugar wasn't through the roof when i took it this morning. so, maybe i have figured out how to drink while having type 2 diabetes.

i couldn't sleep worth a shit last night. tossing and turning... even the thought of masturbation didn't help. i started reading some poems and got some ideas... and what you have seen from me today is what came from those restless dreams. of course, i'd much rather not to have to resort to this again, but oh well. on with the show.
for National Poetry Month, i give you:
Gotham was fucking amazing last night. i think we're getting to the really good shit now.
The Voice was really, really good last night. a few of the performances were truly awesome. i have no damn clue who is getting the boot tonight. all of them have enough talent to make it one way or another in the music business.
Monday Night Raw wasn't as good as the week before, but it was still good. it looks like Jericho and Ambrose are going to feud. and Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, which i guess are going to feud with each other until death, are set to face off at the next ppv. my favorite part of the show had to be Roman Reigns getting jumped by Anderson and Gallows. that certainly put a smile on my face.
enjoy some music kids:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Deadliest Catch and the season finale of Total Divas.
the New York Rangers play Game 3 of their series with the Penguins tonight at MSG. hopefully the boys can win and get the 2-1 advantage in the series.
the New York Yankees play tonight against Oakland. i'd love to see them get a win tonight as well.
i haven't voted in an election since i was 18 years old. i went through the whole process of getting registered and then voted and then quickly realized that it doesn't matter. now, local shit, it probably does matter. but in the grand scheme of things, this world is controlled by the powers that be. i am interested to see what happens in Ohio today. one issue gets marijuana legal in this state. another issue makes it illegal. if both pass, which is what i think will happen because i live in a state of fucking idiots, then the issue ends up in the courts. and nothing good comes out of the court system. and sadly, if pot does become legal in this state, i won't get to enjoy it since my mother is allergic to it. and i'm not sure i would give a shit waiting until she dies to finally enjoy it again. i used it mostly in my teenage years. it really helped me sleep and expanded my brain immensely when it came to my writing. but i was also smoking cigarettes at the time, so i don't want to go that route again to mask the smell. decisions, decisions.
Monday Night Raw had all the makings of a great show last night. yet, it somehow managed to just come off as one of those blah blah evenings. oh what could have been...
Gotham was spectacular last night. it is easily one of my favorite shows on television.
The Voice was ok, right up until the ending. the last battle was awesome.
i am looking forward to the live shows.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets, The Voice and Scream Queens.
the New York Rangers face a tough test tonight against Washington. this will be for first place in the division. i will be definitely watching.
Manchester United plays CSKA Moscow today in Champions League action. i really want to believe United will find a way to win at home, but given the way they have been playing lately, i will have to see it to believe it.
the doctor told my uncle yesterday that he does have cancer. he told him it is malignant. but they STILL don't know what kind of cancer it is or what they are going to do with it. i believe he goes to the oncologist tomorrow. hopefully he will get some concrete answers then. i'm still not sure if i'm driving my mother and him to the visit or not. ah, the life of a pro bono chauffeur.
that's all for me today kids. i hope everyone is doing better than the person next to you. i'm sure that just got awkward for someone.

i noticed yesterday my left hand was killing me. ice didn't help at all. that is when i immediately thought of my grandmother and her gnarly hands she had. the joys of arthritis. and i can just imagine my luck seeing that i'm a writer and sort of need both hands to type shit up. of course, i can hunt and peck like a motherfucker. but having to sit forever to type shit isn't exactly good for someone with a history of blood clots. good times.
Manchester United more or less cemented themselves in 4th place for this season with the 1-1 draw with Arsenal today. that means they will have to go through a playoff in August to actually make the Champions League. and judging from today's game, it looks like it is going to be another busy summer with the obvious need for more and better players.
the New York Yankees got some great pitching from CC last night and the offense finally showed up. that ended a 4 game losing streak. they will hopefully win the series when they play again this afternoon:
the New York Rangers had a dominant first period yesterday. of course, they didn't score. the second period was more even right until the last few seconds:
that helped ease my mind greatly as Tampa's goalie has owned us over the years. Tampa ties in the game in the 3rd with a power play goal. that will be key in this series. the Rangers have to keep out of the box. fast forward to under 3 minutes left in the 3rd and what happens when you just get the puck on goal:
the Rangers held on from there for a 2-1 win. they go up 1-0 in the series. it also marks the first time they beat Tampa this season. and also the first time they have ever beaten Ben Bishop. that was a tasty victory beer after that one. enjoy some highlights:
Game 2 is Monday night. so much for watching The Voice finals live.
i will watch ROH from last night later this afternoon. i caught bits and pieces while watching Saturday Night Live last night. but since i will spend most of this evening watching pro wrestling, i might as well get in the mood early.
as for Saturday Night Live, i thought it was pretty damn funny. i love Louis C.K. and his willingness to talk about shit that makes people uncomfortable. go on YouTube and see what i'm talking about.
tonight i'll be watching WWE Payback on the WWE Network. i figure if i'm paying for the network, i might as well watch it. i don't have any high hopes for this one, so hopefully it's much better than i fear. that means on the DVR tonight will be Nurse Jackie, Happyish, Penny Dreadful, Silicon Valley, Veep, and Last Week Tonight. chances are i'll watch some of them after the wrestling goes off. if not, i'm going to have a busy Monday afternoon.
that's pretty much all for me today. these old bones are going to spend some time in the shower and maybe get a nap in before a long night in front of the television.
hope everyone is having a better weekend than i am.

let's rewind to Friday night. i started watching the Dayton Flyers play and quickly realized that the officials were going to ruin this game. and sure enough, that's exactly what they did. the sad part is 2 of the 3 of them have been officials in the Final Four before. so, now i have come to the sad thought that ALL fucking college basketball refs fucking suck. as you might imagine, Dayton lost last night. the kicker is, they lost 65-64 in OT. think about that these dumb fucking officials took away a legit 3 point play from Dayton and you can imagine my fury. Dayton plays again on Tuesday at St. Louis. that more or less is a MUST win given how piss poor this league is in the eyes of all of the "experts" in college basketball.
thankfully, right after that was over there was some great matches on NJPW. i really didn't give a shit that the footage was a few years old. i could watch Okada wrestle all day long.
after that, i watched Treehouse Masters. they were building in Kentucky, not that far from where my father is from. i laughed since most of southern Ohio might as well be Kentucky. they built a massive barn in the trees. how that won't fall down is beyond me.
i took a shower late last night. that helped me get some sleep. i woke up this morning and got a little breakfast and started watching some soccer from Europe. after feeding the cats and the birds, i got ready for the party. we got there a little late, but not as late as the surprised birthday boy was. i haven't seen my friend Mike since he got married. that was probably damn near 15 years ago. most of the people at the party i hadn't seen since that wedding as well. i made sure to get the alcohol flowing as there was no way i was going to go through this day sober. it was good chatting with Mike some. found out he's a Chelsea fan, so of course a part of me despises him now. i gave him and his two sisters my business card, just in case they actually want to read this shit and perhaps BUY A BOOK.
after the party, my mother, sister and i went to this cool used bookstore that's just a few doors down from the restaurant we were at. i found a few things that i bought. i figure a DVD, 2 poetry books, and a Batman graphic novel all for $14 was pretty damn good.
and then to the shock of everyone, i didn't bitch when they wanted to do some more shopping at Target. we did some of the grocery shopping there as well as getting some things for the new house. after getting the mail and unloading everything, i turned on the New York Rangers game.
i didn't have a good feeling about the game today given the bad news from yesterday and how good Nashville is this year. i turned on the game right after Nashville took a 3-2 lead. that would be how the game would finish. good thing i had my alcohol earlier in the day. the Rangers play again tomorrow night on what i'm calling clusterfuck Sunday.
honestly, there are so many god damn things i want to watch tomorrow, i may not get any sleep. from Manchester United in the morning to the hockey game to all the usual Sunday night shows and all the ones coming back on, let alone the fucking Grammys are on as well. fuck me runnin'.
i guess the rest of this day will be spent doing some reading, watching some sports, Foo Fighters on Austin City Limits and a new episode of ROH.
i have no fucking clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i guess in the morning before the soccer comes on. that is if i have got the animals fed and all the trash down to the end of the lane. if my lazy side wins out, it will be in the afternoon when i should be napping.
i hope everyone is having a great weekend. or, at least better than my sports teams are doing. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

this morning has been something close to a clusterfuck for me. we had the chili i made for dinner last night, so you can imagine where i have spent most of the morning. and then between bending over to clean out a litter box and lifting over 100 lbs. of trash and recyclables, i think most of this afternoon will be with ice on my back. just fucking lovely.
Ohio State beat Minnesota yesterday 31-24. it wouldn't have been that close if Ohio State wouldn't of had 3 turnovers. that should be their last tough game until the Big 10 Championship game.
the New York Rangers lost in a shootout last night 3-2. i didn't have a problem with the NHL getting the call right on Dan Boyle's shootout goal that wasn't. i did have a problem with how long it took them to figure it out. i did have a problem with Cindy Crosby whining and complaining to the refs ALL game long. if he ever wonders why no players in the league respect him, all he has to do is watch last night's game again. and how in the fuck does Malkin get to charge Girardi and he basically gets nothing for it. oh, that's right, everyone who works for the league is a bunch of ex-Rangers that hated their time in New York. i have to remind myself that from time to time when every fucking call goes against the Rangers. at least they got a point out of the game.
Saturday Night Live was really good last night.
ROH was great last night. the match between ACH and Jay Lethal was awesome.
today, the New Orleans Saints play the Bengals. hopefully, i'm drinking a victory beer around 4:30 this afternoon. the Saints are my guaranteed win of the week, so i really hope they win.
tonight will be the usual Sunday night shows; The Newsroom, Homeland, and The Affair. all 3 episodes look to be good.
i'll watch those and probably some of the Sunday night NFL game as well.
i still have to enter my fantasy teams into my DIRECTV receiver, so i'm a bit pissy this morning. i've only been trying for the last 3 hours.
both of my fantasy teams are favored to win this week. i doubt that happens.
and to top off everything today, we are under a Winter Weather Advisory. it's supposed to start really snowing tonight and won't stop until tomorrow afternoon. they are saying maybe 4 inches or more. and of course, mom and i have to be over at the new home for the house inspection tomorrow morning.
these are the days where i wish i had a needle and a gun.
hopefully your Saturday and Sunday are going much better than mine. and if they are not, drink a cold one and go piss on your neighbor's porch.
thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

so i woke up in the middle of the night. i checked the clock and it said 4 AM. fuck that was the first thing i said. i went back to sleep and woke up again around 8 AM. i was hoping to see my mother out this morning, as she had to drive to Cincy for a meeting and hates to make that drive. (she called and made it fine and on time). i had a bill i had to pay so i figured after the post office, i would get some breakfast. and since this is my life, 20 minutes later i was on the toilet shitting out, what felt like, a month of food. enjoy that visual. needless to say, i've been a little cranky ever since.
i did watch Big Brother last night. was happy to see Devin leave. i laughed at how the producers made the dummies watching think there was a chance of it not happening. poor souls. now the fun can begin.
i also watched the new comedies on FX last night. Married was pretty good. had a few funny lines. also, Jenny Slate is in it, who i adore, mostly because she looks like a crush i had in high school. the other show, You're the Worst, was fucking awesome. perfectly written, crass, with enough sex to keep any pervert interested. i HIGHLY recommend it.
tonight, the baseball season starts back up. the Yankees are at home against the Reds. the two teams of my youth battling it out. hopefully, i'll find something better to watch.
mom casually mentioned last night that she's thinking of going on vacation the first week of August. what really surprised me is she wants me to go along. i don't think i have been on a vacation in almost 20 years. i'd love to just get in the car and start driving and wherever we end up is cool. but, i also know that is not how my mother operates. so i spent a good portion of today checking out festivals and whatnot for possible things to do that week. i'll keep all 2 or 3 of you that read this updated on what might happen that week. i do have a couple of cameras now, so i'll get some pictures.
i had to clean the bamboo floors today. that was long overdue.
looks like the rain clouds are moving in right now. great. that should make my back feel wonderful.
that's all for me. i do hope everyone has a great weekend. if anyone has any vacation ideas, feel free to send them to me.

i have been a sports fan for nearly my entire life. i have seen bad calls go against the teams i root for since birth it feels like. hell, i watched one ref steal an entire series for the Lakers over Sacramento back in the day. and the NBA will never convince anyone that they didn't steal that series. last night was probably the most upset i have been at officiating in my 38 years on earth. when the Rangers get fucked over on 2 blown calls and both times, the puck ends up in the back of their net, it's infuriating. to have it happen in the Stanley Cup Final and cost them a Game 2 they needed to win... let's just say if this was soccer in South America there would be 4 officials that would be murdered by this morning. the sad thing truly is, the officiating has fucking sucked for the entire NHL playoffs. and that's for all the games, not just the ones the Rangers have lost. now, i do know that most people will say this smells like sour grapes, especially given that the Rangers blew 3 different 2 goal leads last night (lost 5-4 in 2OT). and i admit, it probably is. but to see a league fuck over one of the most loyal fan bases on earth, that haven't had a championship, let alone, ANYTHING to celebrate in 20 fucking years so the Kings could win their second title in 3 years is beyond me. i personally hope that the refs return the favor at MSG for games 3 and 4, but i doubt it. and if the horrific officiating continues, i hope the fans march down to the league office in NYC and burn it to the ground.
as you might expect, i haven't had much sleep.
i did manage to find the Yankees game last night on tv. part of the beauty of having the baseball package is i get the games that the rest of the country doesn't. after watching bits and pieces of them losing 8-4, i wish i wouldn't have been able to watch last night. they play again later in the afternoon. i'm hoping my anger leads me to passing out before the game starts.
on the bright side, team USA looked pretty damn good yesterday in beating Nigeria 2-1. i think they may have found the right guys to be the back 6 for the World Cup. and thank god, Jozy Altidore found the net again. hopefully, just in time for some goals in the group of death. here is his second from yesterday:
hopefully they will be ready for Ghana when the World Cup begins. time for some revenge against that country.
on top of all my anger today. 3 of my right toes are killing me. i don't think they are broken and i don't remember kicking anything yesterday, but it is totally a pain i don't need. especially given the fact that is trying to rain today and my back is currently on strike. if there ever was a time to start a heroin addiction...
hopefully i will be in a much better mood by the time the Sunday night shows start. i believe i will start off with the Showtime shows and then flip over to HBO afterwards. i am looking forward to the double episodes of Veep tonight. i believe that is the season finale of it. i could be wrong with that, i don't have time to keep track.
at some point i will flip over to see what is going on in Game 2 of the NBA finals. would be funny if somehow the air conditioning just happens to go out again tonight.
and if i am somehow still awake come late tonight, i might actually try to unleash some words on the page. no guarantee that will happen though. my production tends to slow down in the summer. i tend to like to pretend i have a life during these months. pretend would be the key word there.
i hope this finds everyone in a MUCH better mood than i am. i'll be on here sometime after my trip to the bank tomorrow.
be well. be angry. be the asshole that can make yourself laugh at the misery of others. and be mindful that someone is laughing at you as well.

last night was a roller coaster of emotions for me. the series between the New York Rangers and the Montreal Crybabies has become so badly officiated that even non hockey fans can tell the league wants Montreal to win so the country of Canada will actually watch the finals. like they aren't going to be watching anyway. amazingly, despite the best efforts of Montreal and all 4 officials last night, the Rangers won 3-2 in OT. a beautiful goal from Martin St. Louis to win it. the Rangers are now 1 win away from going to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1994. my playoff beard looks ridiculous and i couldn't be more proud. below is the recap to the game:
the Yankees are currently in a rain delay as i type this. i figured i would do this blog now as i know a rain delay in St. Louis could actually be for hours when it only looks like it would be 10 minutes. if it does go long, i suppose i'll just add it to the other stuff i'm watching tonight.
Monday Night Raw, playoff hockey and basketball and god knows what else.
i did catch Penny Dreadful, Californication, and Nurse Jackie last night. i was so wired from the game that i ended up watching them again, after Total Divas, just to make sure i didn't miss anything. so i ended up falling asleep around 4 in the morning. of course, i was up before 8 in the morning. who the fuck needs sleep.
the only real Memorial Day tradition i have is watching the NCAA lacrosse championship. it was a great game this year. Duke was killing Notre Dame early. ND came back to make it a game late, which made it highly entertaining. Duke wins 11-9.
that's all for me kids. i'm going to go take a nap as the weather has heated up here big time. it got up to 87 degrees this afternoon. i closed up the house and turned on the air conditioner. it's comfortable enough in here that i could fall asleep in about 30 seconds. i'm hoping we don't get some storms tonight, like what usually happens when it gets this warm. i'll gladly take the rain for the crops... but i don't need the thunder and lightning and everything else that comes with that.
hope everyone had a great day. hope everyone has a great evening.
peace.

decided i would bust out a quick one this morning before i get too busy. get your minds out of the gutter. i did that before i went to bed. here are your national poetry month links:
the New York Yankees won game 2 of the doubleheader last night 2-0. if only we could play the Cubs every game. the home stand is now over and they are off to that dump in Tampa. and CC usually pitches like shit there, so i don't know how much i will be watching.
i did catch a good portion of the NHL playoff games last night. always a stressing sign when the first game goes into overtime. it would be cool if i didn't have a dog in the race. the New York Rangers begin their quest for another Stanley Cup in my lifetime tonight against the Flyers. first time they have met in the playoffs since 1997. fuck i feel old. they have to play their backup goalie tonight, so i'm hoping the Rangers take advantage of it. hopefully i will get to watch all of it.
i did catch Legit and Ali G. last night. both were really fucking funny.
my sister made it down last night. i've had my 4 or so hours of sleep. now it's time to feed the cats, then myself, hopefully take a stress free shit and then drive the family to the hospital. they believe mom's surgery will be at least 2 hours. all i want is for it to be done right and hopefully they are no surprises or complications.
i will be sure to update the situation in tomorrow's blog.
that's all for me kids. sorry for interrupting your morning breakfast with my usual drivel. go back to watching porn on your phones now.
peace and chicken grease my enemies...
