so, i did the dishes last night and i certainly paid for it today. sometime this morning my back just sort of seized up on me and decided it didn't want to cooperate today. joy. so, i spent a good portion of today in my massage chair with ice on my back. i think it was close to 4 hours. i finally got my back "good" enough to go out and water the tomato plants. i'm trying to take it easy the rest of today, since i know i need to do the grocery shopping tomorrow.
the Yankees won again last night, defeating Oakland, 9-5. of course, they were losing at one point in the game, 5-1. that was the Yankees 23rd come from behind victory this season. hopefully, they won't have to come from behind tonight to win.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
Miz & Mrs was fucking hilarious last night.
Don't Forget the Lyrics was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT and Deadliest Catch.
mom wants some chicken tonight, so i guess i will be going to Lee's when i get this done.
i am going to try to get the blog done in the morning tomorrow since the Yankees are playing in the afternoon. i'll do the grocery shopping while the game is going on.
the USWNT plays tonight in another friendly against Colombia. hopefully they will win again.
and at some point tonight, i am hoping to take a shower. i thought i'd mention that in case someone out there needed the visual. you know who you are.
until tomorrow morning kids...

i'm blaming it on the fact i went to bed around 2 AM. but, this also reaffirms my belief that i only get 4 fucking hours of sleep anyway. and today was one of those days i didn't get to take my little power nap that i like to get. joy.
i did take mom to her physical therapy today. her therapist said she is doing better. her new insurance covers all the appointments she needs to get better, so that was good to find out. i wrote 3 poems in the waiting area. i typed those up when i got home. they are pretty good.
Vice News Tonight had some great reporting last night from the war in Ukraine. i hope for a peaceful end to the war, but i also know Putin has no interest in peace. so, with it being like that, i hope the citizens of Ukraine kill as many Russian soldiers as it takes for the conflict to end.
i did get to see what i missed on NXT UK this morning.
Young Sheldon was good last night.
B Positive was really good last night. the season finale is next week.
United States of Al was pretty funny last night.
it was good to see NJPW on American television once again.
Dicktown was fucking crazy last night.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against the Devils. i'm really hoping the Rangers win and win big tonight.
i should be on here tomorrow in the morning. the Dayton Flyers play Davidson tomorrow at 12:30. if i get a wild hair up my ass, i might go to the game. of course, that kind of depends on how my mother is doing in the morning.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. the weather is supposed to be fucking crazy here, so who knows...

today has been one of those days where i don't feel like doing anything. between pain, depression, debt, the mindless fucks in this country, and the countless number of murders i see each day... i would have loved to just sleep today. of course, that didn't happen.
exhaustion got me around 3:30 this morning. i was up around 9. at least i actually felt like i got some sleep for a change.
the New York Yankees pissed away leads of 4-0 and 7-4 yesterday and lost to the Mets 9-7 in 10 innings. the Yankees are playing like shit currently. great. they play a doubleheader today in Baltimore. they really need to sweep this series if they want to have a chance to actually win the division.
NXT UK was pretty good last night. they should have new matches on in the next 2 weeks. joy.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Holey Moley was hilarious last night.
the season finale of Cake was excellent last night.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. Christmas is the new HOH.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
here are your NHL highlights from last night:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and Room 104. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
there are 2 Game 7's in the NHL tonight. well, the first one is on right now, so you know what i will be watching after i get this done.
i'm sure i'll watch some of the NBA playoffs tonight as well.
i forgot to mention yesterday that Manchester United finally signed someone.
Dallas is up 1-0 in the first period against Colorado. it's now 1-1. oh boy.
i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm hoping to get the blog done before i try to watch some college football tomorrow. it is still weird as fuck not to be watching Ohio State playing on the weekends. oh well.
at least the NFL will be starting soon.
i hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. stay safe.

i decided to be an adult last night and actually check my email before i went to bed. what that actually meant was i didn't get to bed until 5 this morning. i laughed and said watch, i'll be up at 9. sure enough, the fucking phone woke me up at exactly 9 this morning. i guess i manifested that into existence. i got a little nap in when i was icing my back, but 20 minutes didn't exactly fill me full of energy. it's been one of those days where i can't seem to get out of my own way, if you know what i mean.
i did do a little poetry work today. i know where my next 16 poems are going to go. i will hopefully get those out tomorrow.
the New York Yankees defeated Baltimore last night 9-4. they will go for a sweep later this evening.
Smackdown was pretty good last night, as was 205 Live.
Miz & Mrs. was hilarious last night.
Hard Knocks was very good last night. it's beyond obvious that Gruden is there for the money and is a character of his former self now.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Snowfall. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network. i already watched NXT UK earlier this afternoon. it was really good, as usual.
i have avoided the news for most of the day. the asshole that thinks he's king was here today for a photo op with the victims of the mass shooting. and of course, since the mayor of Dayton is a Democrat, he had to talk shit about her after he left. i'm sure he'll get a bigger fuck you when he gets to El Paso, Texas.
what truly boggles my mind is the shooter in Dayton was one of the armed protesters when the KKK had a rally in Dayton earlier in the year. given that he showed up with what certainly looks like the gun he used in the mass shooting, no one thought that maybe we need to keep an eye on this guy? given all the fucking surveillance we have in this country, and he wasn't on any radar at all? i love all the excuses when something that could have been avoided slips through the cracks.
i'm off to my massage chair, hoping i get a little sleep before the Yankees play.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the poems sent out. given my arthritis and pinched nerve, that's going to be a fun morning.
until tomorrow kids...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
at some point this morning i just said fuck it. i had a million fucking things to do and there was no fucking way i was going to get anything resembling good sleep. i had to make the appointment with the GI doctor. just my luck, that's going to be at 8 AM later in the month. fuck me. then, i had to make a trip to the bank to make a deposit. mom paid me back for everything for the last two weeks. that came up to nearly $700. i loved how she couldn't find her credit card yesterday at the car dealership. then, she casually found it while we were in Waffle House. after the bank, i had to go to the drugstore. after the drugstore, it was to the local grocery store right next door. i was hoping to have everything done by noon today. i brought everything home on the first trip around 12:30. i was back home from the big grocery store by 2 in the afternoon. my back has been killing me all day. my arm has been killing me all day. but, that's life. no one truly gives a shit.
Holey Moley was fucking hilarious yesterday.
Big Brother was a big old fucking tease last night. i got hopeful that Sam wasn't going to get evicted. then, of course, he got evicted 9-0. fuckers. Jessica won HOH, so it should be an interesting week, hopefully.
Baskets was really good last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking great last night. sadly, they start their Summer vacation now.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, the finale of Shangri-La, Real Time with Bill Maher and A Black Lady Sketch Show.
the New York Yankees start a 4 game series at home tonight against Boston. i'm hoping they do what they should have done last weekend in Boston.
i will probably be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays its last preseason game of the Summer against AC Milan.
and apparently they have agreed to the fee for Harry Maguire. i'm not going to believe it until i see him in the fucking jersey though.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i hope i can get some fucking sleep tonight. and most of all, i hope i get some victory drinks tonight.
that is all kids. have a good one. until tomorrow.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i just love waking up before the crack of dawn and watch Manchester United lose. just fucking great. i did figure this would be one of the tougher games of the pre-season tour. they played a side that is in mid-season form and it showed in the second half. a 3-2 loss. second loss of the tour. i'm sure a good number of fans are jumping off bridges. they tend to forget the number of times the team struggled in the pre-season under Sir Alex. that being said, i do hope Moyes gets some fresh blood on the team soon. they need it badly.
it was a pretty dense fog this morning. and the sun burned that off and has created quite the weather show this afternoon. a blazing sun to hail and thunder to more blazing sun. felt bad for the tree trimmers the power company sent out here. the hail came as they were trimming back some branches.
i didn't watch much of the Yankees last night and apparently i didn't miss much. they only had 3 hits in yet another loss. and then the news this morning that they are on the verge of bringing back Alfonso Soriano. sure, why not. he's 37 and on the downside of his career. he'll fit in great with all the other retreads on the team. part of me wishes they would tank the season and blow up the team. the other part of me wishes The Boss was still alive and running the show. this shit wouldn't have happened like this this season.
Monday Night Raw was excellent once again. when you have a final hour dominated by CM Punk and Daniel Bryan you can't go wrong. always funny to see guys wrestling against each other in 2013 (Bryan vs. Cesaro) when you can remember the same match around 2004 in ROH (Danielson vs. Castagnoli). i give the WWE credit though, make the last hour great and you tend to forget if you were bored or not in the first two hours.
i figure tonight i will give my usual glance to the Yankees until they piss me off and then i'll turn to Deadliest Catch for the rest of the evening.
i did a little shopping on Amazon.com today. the usual mix of music that should never go together: metal, techno and folk. but always nice when you can get 12 CD's at around $7 each.
for those of you keeping score, out of the 16 poems i sent out on July 7th, 8 of them have been accepted and/or published. i tend to look at these stats like a baseball batting average. and anytime i can bat .500 i know i'm doing pretty damn good.
that's all for today. i figure i better sign off before the internet goes out AGAIN.

i always laugh at people who think of some crazy shit just because it's Friday the 13th. do yourself and the world a favor and think of crazy shit all the time.
i will admit though, today is pretty fucking weird. only because i find myself totally agreeing with something Dane Cook said. hell might have just froze over. it was in regards to the whole Daniel Tosh bullshit (rape jokes) going on, the world's most over-hyped comic ever tweeted out that anyone who is easily offended should kill themselves. i raise a glass and say bravo. now, if he would only put himself at the beginning of the line.
thin the herd.
getting the itch to check out some music festivals this summer. only time will tell if that itch is greeted with a credit card or not.
baseball gets back in the swing of things tonight. hopefully the Yankees can start off the second half on fire and put this damn division to bed early. the 6 game home stand to start off won't be easy. playing the Angels and Blue Jays in that bandbox has home run derby written all over it. or better, beer league softball. as long as they win, i couldn't give 2 shits how.
shout out to Ben on the kind words regarding my writing. totally appreciate it. maybe one day the rest of the world will understand.
