there are days where i truly miss smoking weed. those days are usually the ones filled with pain. if i had a place to get weed legally closer to me, i would be so fucking high right now.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:
the New York Yankees defeated the Angels last night, 3-2, in 10 innings. hopefully, they will win the series this afternoon.
the USMNT and Mexico played to a 1-1 draw last night.
AEW Dynamite was pretty good last night.
The Masked Singer was basically a recap show last night.
the series finale of Snowfall was excellent last night. i love that they kept the ending as real as possible. they didn't go for anything real flashy, knowing that reality has its own sobering sorrow.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and NJPW.
the New York Rangers play Game 2 at New Jersey tonight. hopefully, they will find a way to win and go up 2-0 in the series.
Manchester United plays this afternoon against Sevilla in Spain. it is a MUST WIN game to advance in the Europa League.
i need to go back to the grocery store today for some stuff that wasn't on the list yesterday. plus, i believe mom has pills ready. i'll get those on the way back from her doctor's appointment.
i should be on here tomorrow after mom has physical therapy. hopefully, i will have poems to type up.
i hope everyone has a great day.
until tomorrow kids...

the fan noise that i was complaining about yesterday suddenly went away today when i put my thumb drive into the computer to send out some poems. i'm guessing i took something out too soon a couple of days ago and never put two and two together. so far, the noise hasn't come back, so that's a plus.
as for the poems, i sent 5 poems out to Synchronized Chaos. when i hear back from Cristina on them, i will pass along the verdict.
here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
the New York Yankees won last night at Cleveland, 11-2. they won this afternoon to win the series, 4-3. they play tomorrow night at home against the Twins.
i am in an incredible run of bad luck when it comes to gambling. apparently, i must have made a deal with the devil for Jon Rahm to win The Masters, as i haven't won a single bet since that happened. the streak is at 30 fucking bets in a row now. the beauty of $1 bets is you can make plenty of them. but, it really fucking sucks when you lose, especially when you have 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 5 on fucking parlay bet after parlay bet. if i was gambling like the big boys do, i would be hanging from the ceiling by now.
i did watch some of the NBA play in games last night.
NXT was good last night.
MLW was good last night.
Deadliest Catch was the preview to the season last night. it is hard to imagine that i have seen every episode in this series. season 19 starts next week.

a big thank you to Ancestry.com for reminding me today that i am related to the cousin that sexually molested me. it is a damn good thing i can find pleasure in all of this fucking pain. i shudder to think what would actually happen if i couldn't.
the weather here the last couple of days has been damn near perfect. and having lived here all my life, all that means is shit will change in a matter of hours.

i love falling asleep at 3 in the morning and the first time i see the clock, it is 5:15 AM. then it is a struggle and a half to fall back asleep. i swear, the best sleep i get is when i tell myself i just need a 15 minute power nap and that lasts for 90 minutes. if i could only convince myself to do that all the time.

so today we have had some thunderstorms, a tornado watch, some wind, plenty of rain, etc. the only good thing about it raining on a Wednesday is that usually means no one is at the grocery stores. that made life pretty good today, other than the pain from my arthritis.

a big thank you to everyone for checking my latest published poem:
i thought i was doing pretty good today. i was making decent time, finding everything i needed to get. and then of course, my back, midway through shopping at Kroger, decided to flare up on me. nothing like looking at chicken for the best prices and your back slaps you upside your face, begging for attention. and there i was, frozen like some crazy fuck, wondering how quickly i can move and get going. thankfully, i was probably only frozen in pain for about 15 seconds. but, have an elephant stand on your back and see if you can last 15 seconds.
the New York Rangers won last night at home against Columbus, 6-2.

so, i have determined the pain in my left shoulder is arthritis. the rain today made it really fucking clear to me what is going on. i'm at the point now where i am just trying to keep my mind occupied so the pain doesn't get a chance to run the show. of course, that doesn't work all the time. that is when shit gets really interesting.
