so, as a baseball fan, the walk off grand slam that Freddie Freeman hit last night was one of those plays you will probably remember forever. as a Yankees fan and watching he hit that grand slam against your team in Game 1 of the World Series, that was the epitome of a punch to the dick. Game 2 is tonight and honestly, the Yankees will need to win if they actually want to win this series.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

what a day...
so, the last few hours have been nuts. let me start off with the mass killings in Maine. it pisses me off to no end how we disregard mental health in this country and then shrug our fucking shoulders at the outcome of that disregard. and it should always freak people out when someone with military experience goes on a rampage. fast forward to today, and roughly a couple miles from where mom had her doctor's appointment, a police officer got shot serving a warrant. when i saw all the cop vehicles flying down to where we just were as we were driving home, i knew a code 99 had to have been dropped. i wonder if i will ever live long enough to see this country actually put people before guns. i doubt it, but i'd like to hold on to that sliver of hope.
AEW Dynamite was really good last night.

hello frustration, my name is...
i thought i was doing pretty good today. i went to Rite Aid to get my prescriptions and noticed the parking lot was basically empty. i figured i wouldn't have to wait in line. oh, silly me. the pharmacy was closed. just fucking great. two prescriptions ready in there and ones i need as well. just fucking great. i went to the local grocery store just around the corner. i was so pissed, i forgot something mom wanted. of course, i remembered it right as i got into the Highlander. i got what was left on the grocery list at Kroger. mind you, it has been raining or drizzling all fucking day. my arthritis has had a good day, that's for sure. so, after i ate lunch, i called Rite Aid. no answer. so, my hunch was the pharmacy was now open and they were too fucking busy to answer the phones. luckily, it is only a 5 minute drive to it. i saw a car in the drive thru, so i knew the pharmacy was open. i got in line and waited. thankfully, both of mine were ready and no charge. i was behind two people in line. by the time i got done, there was about 12 people in line. i guess the problem is the CVS in town closed and the pharmacist that had worked at Rite Aid for years said fuck it one day and quit. it has been clusterfuck 101 since. so how was your day?
the New York Rangers lost last night to Colorado in the shootout, 3-2. the Rangers played better, but still not good enough. hopefully, that will change tonight at the fucking Islanders.

a cloudy day, aching of rain...
my left knee has been killing me all day long. the joys of arthritis. fuck.
the New Orleans Saints defeated Carolina yesterday, 27-24. i thought the offense did pretty well given the number of wide receivers that are injured. the defense did just enough to win.

i hope everyone enjoys their Saturday. call if you need bail money.
it's supposed to rain all day here, so i'm sure i will be aching for most of the damn day.

the grocery store was fucking crazy today. busy as hell. and since it was raining, everyone was pissy and on edge. joy. i managed to get everything on the list and keep it under $100.
i did do a little poetry work this morning. i'm going to send 10 poems tomorrow to 2 places i have never sent to before. this is my shits and giggles moment where i'm shooting in the dark, hoping for the best.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i send those poems out.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.

i kind of thought it would happen today
i wrote 5 poems last night. i like a few of them. i will look this weekend to see if doing another round of submissions will happen this month. i am leaning towards waiting to November.
NXT was really good last night.
the season finale of Total Bellas was pretty good last night. Total Divas starts back up next week.
You're the Worst was great last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Chris Gethard Show, Better Things, Gotham, Will & Grace and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Arizona. i'm hoping the Rangers win but i'm also hoping Derek Stepan has a great night back at his old home.
i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/sam-roberts-wrestling-podcast/id934576040?mt=2
mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. then, i think we're going to get the battery for the spare keys changed. (we were supposed to do that yesterday, but mom forgot the keys) and if mom is up to it, next will be the grocery store. i was planning on doing that tomorrow, but she has pills that need to be picked up by tonight.
i'm sure by tonight i will be beyond fucking tired.
have a great day kids. i'm out.

a happy man, for now...
Vice News Tonight was excellent last night. the piece on the PTSD involving guards from Gitmo was fascinating.
Atlanta was fucking hilarious last night. thank god i'm not one of those white people.
Smackdown was really good last night.
The Voice was great once again last night.
i did watch a good portion of the Cavs game last night. i certainly never thought i'd see the day that team would be presented with championship rings.
i also watched a portion of game 1 of the World Series last night. i doubt Cleveland will ever have a better night of sports for the rest of the time earth exists.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Lip Sync Battle, American Horror Story, You're The Worst, Any Given Wednesday, Total Bellas and Lucha Underground. at some point tonight i'll watch NXT on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers take on the Boston Bruins tonight. i'll try to watch a good portion of that as well.
also, the Sacramento Kings start their season tonight on the road against Phoenix. i'm interested to see how yet another new coach does with the Kings. they might have a chance to be decent this season if they actually play defense.
i had to go to the store today to get mom's next round of medications. she got a message today that her latest FMLA didn't get approved. i told her that since she's starting to cost the insurance company money, they are going to fuck with her every chance they get. still no update on the search for a specialist. i figure all these fuckers are waiting for the first of the year and then they'll call. that way the patient has to foot the bill.
i did write 3 poems this afternoon. i typed them up before the game and i really like them. i've got a little stack now, so i should be sending out another round of submissions in the next few days.
that's all for me today kids. take it easy and then take it again.

somedays, there just has to be blood
if you weren't a fan of either Manchester club yesterday, the Manchester derby was fucking boring as hell. as an avid supporter of Manchester United, it was fucking painful to watch. a 0-0 draw when a victory would have put United at the top of the league was brutal to watch. there was probably only a couple instances that i thought United might actually score. the most action was watching Wayne Rooney get staples in his head to stop some bleeding. they next play Middlesbrough in a couple of days in League Cup play.
the New York Rangers started off slow last night but once they got rolling, they were a snowball racing downhill. the first goal was a beauty:
the New Orleans Saints built a 27-0 lead yesterday. i then watched them try to piss that lead away. thankfully, they did just enough to win, 27-21. at least that gets them out of last place in the division.
i am leading in all 3 of my fantasy football matchups. all of my opponents have players going tonight, as do i. my picks were finally really good. if Arizona wins tonight, i'll go 11-3 for this week. that's more like it.
wrestling last night was probably as good as i could have hoped for. i was stunned at the beginning of the show:
after Hell in a Cell they showed the first episode to Breaking Ground. i am definitely going to be a fan of this show. i love all the behind the scenes shit i can see.
Homeland was great last night. it had another holy shit ending that just added another level of mindfuck to this season. The Affair was excellent as always. i really appreciate the subtle differences in the storytelling. and next week certainly looks like it's going to be really good.
ok kids, enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
clusterfuck Monday brings us the crowded as hell DVR. on that tonight will be The Voice, The Big Bang Theory and Gotham. i will be flipping between Monday Night Raw and Monday Night Football.
i typed up the 4 poems i have written in the last few days. let me just say that fat fingers and a small keyboard don't go together really well. it was also my first interaction with a new version of Microsoft Word. not exactly the easiest thing to navigate without a mouse. it's also really weird to not have a printer right next to me. not sure how long this computer in the kitchen is going to last. as for the poems, 2 were pretty sad and 2 had some funny ass lines. not sure where i'm going to send them, but i do want to send out some poems this week.
that's all for me today. i have dishes to put away and i need to vacuum. i hope everyone had a great weekend. if not, figure out who to blame and take it out on them.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
