you ever dream about a flying pig armed with a machine gun?

i gave up trying to understand my dreams years ago. i learned that if you do a better job of remembering them, the poems will become easier and easier. so there, i have given a secret away.

the New York Rangers won again last night, defeating Boston 4-2. that's 5 wins in a row for them. they play again at home on Saturday afternoon against Edmonton.

You're the Worst was really good last night. the two part season finale is next week.

Total Divas was pretty good last night.

NXT was pretty good as well last night. i can't wait for Takeover: War Games. it should be amazing.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Chris Gethard Show, Better Things, Gotham, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.

mom ordered what i thought i was going to have to take her shopping for over the internet yesterday. so, now i just have the grocery shopping today to do. i'm waiting for them to call and say they have my prescriptions ready before i go. i don't like making more than one trip somewhere if i don't have to.

i'll probably be on here early tomorrow. mom has a doctor's appointment in the afternoon and then the Dayton Flyers play Ball State tomorrow night. if her appointment runs long, we might end up having to go right from the doctor's office to the game. i really hope that isn't the case.

have a good one kids.

they are saying there's a chance for snow in the morning

i am trying to type this while a cold front is getting ready to come through. oh fucking joy.

i took mom out this afternoon to this state park that is down the road from the farm we used to live on. neither one of us had been there in years.

the New York Rangers won last night 5-2 over Arizona. it was nice to see them roll 4 lines again. hopefully AV keeps that and doesn't tinker and fuck it up. they next play in Montreal on Saturday night.

Gotham was fucking great last night.

Will & Grace was hilarious last night.

Better Things was really good last night.

Fuck, That's Delicious Classics was great last night.

The Chris Gethard Show was fucking awesome last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be: Vice News Tonight, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus.

i will be spending most of the night doing laundry and cleaning most likely. of course, my arthritis may have other plans.

i'll be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the morning.

if it does happen to snow, i'll try to get some pictures.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are doing any Halloween shit this weekend, enjoy the booze, scare the shit out of someone and avoid being arrested.

i kind of thought it would happen today

considering today is the first off day in the World Series, i figured if the New York Yankees were going to let Joe Girardi go, it was going to happen today. sure enough, about 45 minutes ago, word started leaking out that Girardi is out as Yankees manager. considering all the young talent the Yankees have and have coming, the next manager has to be the "right" guy. if the team fucks this one up, they will piss away the chance to have another dynasty on their hands.

i wrote 5 poems last night. i like a few of them. i will look this weekend to see if doing another round of submissions will happen this month. i am leaning towards waiting to November.

NXT was really good last night.

the season finale of Total Bellas was pretty good last night. Total Divas starts back up next week.

You're the Worst was great last night.

mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. then, i think we're going to get the battery for the spare keys changed. (we were supposed to do that yesterday, but mom forgot the keys) and if mom is up to it, next will be the grocery store. i was planning on doing that tomorrow, but she has pills that need to be picked up by tonight.

i'm sure by tonight i will be beyond fucking tired.

have a great day kids. i'm out.

hopefully, tonight is the night

tonight is Game 6 of the ALCS between the Yankees and Astros. if New York wins tonight, they will go on to face the Dodgers in the World Series. i'm sure most advertising execs are hoping that happens. if the Yankees lose tonight, Game 7 would be tomorrow night. hopefully, i will be drinking my ass off tonight.

i wrote 3 poems last night. i typed those up this afternoon. so far i have written 20 poems in the 20 days of October. not bad.

the New York Rangers lost last night to the Islanders, 4-3 in a shootout. they have 4 damn points through 8 games so far this season. the last time they started this bad was 5 years ago. they made the Stanley Cup Final that year. this team isn't nearly as good as that one was. they play again tomorrow afternoon at home against Nashville. i'm not sure how many losses it's going to take for the GM to decide he finally has to do something.

The Chris Gethard Show was awesome last night.

Fuck, That's Delicious Classics was excellent last night.

Better Things was very good last night.

Gotham was fucking great last night.

Will & Grace was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

i'm planning on watching the baseball game for most of the evening. of course, if things don't go the way i am hoping, i will probably watch some NBA or the fucking Food Network most likely.

the grocery store was a little interesting yesterday. the one thing i forget about going late to the store is it is usually ransacked by the elderly by that point. i got everything that was on the list, plus a few other things. i noticed the prices had gone up on just about everything. so, i guess the wildfires in California are finally being felt here.

i will probably be on tomorrow in the afternoon. i know Manchester United plays in the morning. that game will go right into the Rangers game with Nashville. thankfully, Ohio Sate is off this week.

i hope everyone has a great Friday night and weekend.

the last day of summer

i know this is supposed to be the last day of summer, but it's 91 damn degrees outside and it's supposed to feel like late August for the next week or so. i would like to have more seasons than just fucking hot and fucking cold.

the New York Yankees won yesterday to complete the sweep of the Twins, 11-3. you'd never know the Twins were actually winning 3-0 in the game. sadly, Boston also swept Baltimore, so the Yankees didn't make up any ground on them. but, they are much closer to clinching a playoff spot now. the Yankees are off tonight and start a series in Toronto tomorrow. only 10 games left in the regular season.

the New York Rangers won in OT last night over New Jersey 4-3. i have to admit, i really like what i have seen so far from their 2 first round picks this year. maybe (fingers crossed) they didn't fuck that up for a change. and holy shit, goals on the power play, there's a fucking concept.

NXT was very good last night. i really love the direction they are going in at the moment.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night. next week starts Ultima Lucha Tres.

Mr. Mercedes was fucking great last night.

You're the Worst was hilarious last night.

Total Bellas was hilarious for all the wrong reasons last night.

part 4 of The Vietnam War had me in tears last night. the stories of having to put your classmates in body bags after just drinking beers with them the week before really got to me. especially when i thought about the stories of my father that my mother told me. he went to Vietnam because he wanted to die. and when i think about all those Americans that died, how the fuck wasn't he one of them? that's one of those questions i'll never have the answer to. i imagine part 5 will hit me hard as well tonight.

the season finale of Big Brother was pretty good last night. 2 years in a row, Paul lost by 1 vote. i applaud Josh for his strategy of owning what he was doing and allowing Paul just enough rope to hang himself. and kudos to CBS for having it be Cody's vote to sink Paul. of course, that means Cody and Jessica are probably going to do The Amazing Race now. those 2 assholes deserve each other.

i believe mom has a landscaper coming out here tomorrow to give her an estimate on some things she wants done. i don't know if i'll be going to the grocery store before or after he's here.

i think i might get some poems ready tonight for another round of submissions next week.

and hopefully i have enough sunscreen lotion for next week as well.

that's all for me kids.

yeah, i wear sweatpants in public, get over it...

i gave up on life many moons ago. if you see me wearing something other than sweatpants and a t-shirt in public, apathy forgot to wake up with me that day. it's a rare occasion. you should try to get a picture, sort of like a Big Foot sighting.

the grocery store was uneventful today. they didn't have everything i wanted and i didn't eat lunch before going. amazingly, i kept the grocery bill under $100. now my liquor bill was nearly $50 and gas was a little over $20. all in all, not bad.

while i was putting some artwork in frames last night, i had the last frame i was using break on me. nothing like glass flying all over the fucking place. i thought i got it all but later on that night, i saw something while i was laying in bed. i went to touch it and next thing i know, my fucking thumb was sliced open. fuck me runnin'. needless to say, i need another 11 x 14 frame.

the New York Yankees scored early and often last night, whipping Baltimore 13-5. hopefully they can do the same thing tonight.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Big Brother went how i expected last night. Kevin was evicted by Christmas. Paul won the first part of the HOH last night. that's what's going to be shown on the show tonight. i hope the jury house is truly planning on screwing Paul in the end, that would be some great television.

Better Things was really good last night.

Fuck, That's Delicious Classics was excellent last night.

The Chris Gethard Show last night was fucking brilliant. John Oliver was the guest and the show had me laughing the entire 60 minutes.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, Big Brother, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher, Room 104 and Treehouse Masters.

i suppose the plan is for me to be back on here in the morning tomorrow. i figure i would like to do a little writing tonight. so, if that doesn't keep me up all damn night, i will probably crank out another one of these in the morning.

the sun actually did make an appearance today. that felt nice. hopefully it stays that way all weekend.

it sickens me to wake up each morning and see what fucking chaos has happened around the world as i tried to pretend to sleep. maybe one day people will realize if you would like to have an open society, you need to treat everyone with dignity and respect; educate everyone the same and eliminate poverty. i'm pretty fucking sure you'd stop about 90% of all violence if that ever happened. but what do i know. i'm just some unemployed poet living with his mother.

i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

happy birthday to my sister...

i know i don't say this as much as i should, but i am very proud of my sister and love her. she has done a truly amazing job with her life of getting her degree, making her money, not being mired in debt and living the life she wants to live. i didn't make it easy for her being a year ahead of her in school. all the book shit came easy to me, it never did for her. then of course, our asshole father gambled away the college money, and i took the hit by going to work in a factory so my sister could go to college. she called her freshman year wanting to quit and i told her she wasn't allowed to. thankfully, she listened. now, i'm hoping to talk her out of wanting to own property in the south. i'm hoping the news of these hurricanes will open her eyes. it's not likely, since the first thing she said was maybe the prices will be cheaper now. i'm not sure she realizes how much she thinks like her father when it comes to money. happy 40th birthday to my sister. be happy you don't look your age.

it was nice to see the Patriots get beat last night. Kansas City destroyed them 42-27.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Fuck, That's Delicious Classics was excellent last night.

Big Brother was really good last night. i can't believe Jason actually thought he wasn't going to be evicted. Raven was the second eviction. yet again, another shot pissed away to get Paul out. Josh is the new HOH. i haven't heard who he is going to nominate yet.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher, Treehouse Masters and Room 104.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight in Texas against the Rangers. hopefully they can start stringing some wins together.

i'm not sure how long we'll be in Columbus tonight. i'm really interested to see how mom does. she hasn't been on this long of a car ride in a long time. plus, since her vision stinks at the moment, i'm kind of wondering how she'll do in a completely different environment. i figure we won't be closing the place down, that's for sure.

i'll be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays Stoke City.

between the hurricanes and that earthquake in Mexico, it certainly feels like the world is coming to an end. i'm sure it will all be Obama's fault somehow.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i hope everyone in Florida is prepared.

it feels a little weird...

the NFL season starts tonight and for the first time in well over 20 years, i'm not playing any fantasy football. i'm not even picking games this season. it certainly feels a little weird. and since i'm not playing any fantasy football, i really only give a shit about what the New Orleans Saints do this season. so, my NFL season kicks off on Monday.

the New York Yankees were rained out last night and had to make up the game with Baltimore this afternoon. thankfully, they took care of business and whipped the Orioles 9-1. sadly, before the game, Gene "Stick" Michael passed away at the age of 79. he did everything for the team in his life; player, coach, scout, manager, general manager, etc. he was the one behind the building of the Yankees last dynasty. rest in peace Stick and thank you for everything.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. i fully expect Jason to be evicted tonight and then i'm hoping all hell breaks loose on the second eviction.

the season finale of Snowfall was great last night. i really hope this show lasts for as many seasons as possible.

NXT was pretty good last night.

Lucha Underground was very good last night.

the season debut of You're the Worst was fucking great last night.

the season debut of Total Bellas was pretty funny last night.

Mr. Mercedes was fucking awesome last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.

i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between New England and Kansas City.

for those wondering, i did get a new lamp for my desk. it's a decent one that will hopefully last me many years. i got some light bulbs for it as well. the plunger was a gag gift of sorts for my sister's new house and that she's turning 40 years old tomorrow.

i just put my last load of laundry in the washer. i figure since i'm driving mom up to Columbus tomorrow for the party for my sister, i might as well be wearing clean clothes. fuck, i might even shave and shower as well.

i did do the grocery shopping today. between gas, pills and food, i kept it under $130. that's not too bad. and i got back in time to watch the Yankees game.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:

i will be on here early tomorrow as i think we'll be driving up to Columbus in the afternoon.

persona non grata

there was a time in my life where i absolutely hated being in public. thankfully, those days are behind me now. but, i get a little reminder now and then exactly why i was in that state of mind to begin with. i went to the grocery store today and right as i walked in, the father of my best friend from my childhood was there. he didn't see me as he picked up the ad and walked back to his wife. they both then looked right at me and kept right on going. these are people i have known for more than 30 years. and i'm right back inside my head, being the classic case of out of sight, out of mind. but, wearing your emotions on your sleeves is an excellent way to find a poem.

i was able to get the groceries today and the two prescriptions mom called in to be picked up for under $75. that made me happy.

the New York Yankees lost the second game of the doubleheader yesterday 9-4. given the sweep by Cleveland, the Yankees are now 5 games behind Boston. they start a 4 game series against Boston tonight at home. i really doubt the Yankees have a shot at winning the division now. sadly, their wild card spot is also in jeopardy now. if the Red Sox come in crush them, the Yankees will be fucked. and their owner already has said if they don't make the playoffs, this season would be a disappointment. it just feels like the young guys are running out of gas and the team just can't compete against the better teams. not to say this weekend is going to make or break their season, but there's a real good fucking chance it will.

NXT was really good last night. i can't wait to see Adam Cole in action once again.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night.

Mr. Mercedes was fucking brilliant last night.

Snowfall was great last night. the season finale next week looks like it should be amazing.

Big Brother was good last night. hopefully the house now understands that Jason needs to go soon.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, Fuck, That's Delicious Classics and The Chris Gethard Show.

that Big Brother episode will be on real late because of NFL preseason football. i'm not sure if i'll already know what's happened on the episode or not by then.

the New Orleans Saints play at home tonight against Baltimore. hopefully there are no injuries tonight and the guys can figure out the best players to take into the season. i have high hopes this year.

i will be watching Ohio State take on Indiana for most of the evening. it's a classic trap game. first game of the season. conference rival on the road. and oh by the way, Indiana's former head coach is now Ohio State's offensive coordinator. and given that Ohio State is #2 in the country, Indiana will be licking their chops for an upset. hopefully, i will be happy and drinking tonight.

i believe the remnants from Harvey will be here tomorrow. we certainly could use some rain, not a flood, but some rain would be good.

mom's eye is continuing to get better. hopefully by this time next month, she'll have new glasses, better vision and will actually be able to function without squinting all the time.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. if we do get rain, i'm sure my arthritis will be fucking with me. good times.

have a good one kids.
