so, let me begin where yesterday's blog stopped... Manchester United and Liverpool finished 2-2 yesterday. United had a chance to win it late, just had the wrong guy taking the shot. i was thrilled with getting a point out of that game considering Liverpool is basically running away with the league. and i also agreed, this should be the standard performance from Manchester United going forward.

happy election day...
i don't really care who you voted for or what bullshit right wing claim you are on your soapbox about, i only wish that after today, all the fucking emails wanting money will end. and in case you're wondering, i voted weeks ago.
i did go to the Dayton Flyers game last night. they won over Lindenwood, 73-46. they played pretty good defense, but couldn't shoot worth a shit last night. they will have to improve if they want to win on Friday against SMU. the injuries to the guards aren't helping them either.
https://daytonflyers.com/news/2022/11/7/Dayton_vs_Lindenwood_.aspx
the New Orleans Saints had their asses handed to them last night by Baltimore, 27-13. i didn't watch much of the game, thankfully.

the last day of the month...
where the fuck did November go? i must be getting closer to death...
it has been a sunny morning, slowly warming up.
The Voice was really good last night. i have no clue which 2 are going home tonight.

apparently, i have to sleep in shifts...
the New York Yankees offense came to life last night, finally. they defeated Tampa 8-3. there's a chance for rain tonight, so i don't know if that game will be played or not. hopefully, it will be and the Yankees will win again.
Smackdown was good last night, but could have been much better. i do love that it seems that Kevin Owens is going to get a major push now.
205 Live was excellent last night.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Snowfall. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network. i watched NXT UK this afternoon, it was good.
so, the rain woke me up this morning. after i took my blood sugar, i went out to get the paper. the trash truck was coming, so i figured i would wait around for it. i watched the fucker take the trash out of our can and leave the lid open and walk away. that truly pissed me off. i went back outside and brought the can back into the garage. thankfully, not much water got in it. i had to take the neighbor's cans up to their garages, so i got plenty of the rain this morning. it probably took me the rest of the morning to get to feeling better. joy.
i did see that Manchester United won again in Australia today, over Leeds, 4-0.
if i can block out the pain for long enough tonight, i'm going to try to get some writing done. i know i need to crank out a fresh batch of filth, as i have a few places in mind to send to.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. these hot and humid days are just a grind to get through anymore.
these are the days where i wish lived by the ocean or a lake, somewhere where i could just have some cool water nearby. i always had a dream when i was a kid that i would have a little slice of land that had a pond on it. the farm i used to live on had a little bit of running water in the back, a little creek. that's probably as close as i will ever get to it.
hope the heat isn't bad wherever you may be. until tomorrow kids...

shorts and snow flurries
i am sort of in shock that out of the 24 poems i sent out yesterday, 6 have been published, 13 have been accepted for publication, 2 have been rejected and 3 i am still waiting to hear back on. and most of those poems were poems i had written while in the waiting room of my mother's physical therapy. maybe i have some talent still left in this wreckage of a body.
The Voice was pretty good last night.
Smackdown was sort of just how hum until the end last night. i was somewhat shocked that they had Sami Zayn turn on Kevin Owens last night. it made sense from the point of this is the only way you could logically have Sami win and not have to have a title exchange hands. but, part of me thinks that should have been saved for the ppv this Sunday. now, god knows Sami won't be winning that match, but it would have been so easy to then set up a WrestleMania match between Kevin and Sami and have it feel somewhat fresh. when you have watched for as long as i have (basically 40 years now) this is what you do when watching. it's always how you think it would have been better. thankfully, there are still times when i watch when i think i couldn't have done that any better. when that stops, it's basically time for me to stop watching.
205 Live was excellent last night. i do like the matches they have set up for the semi-finals of the Cruiserweight tournament. Cedric Alexander vs. Roderick Strong and Drew Gulak vs. Mustafa Ali. those have the chance to be awesome.
Baskets was pretty funny last night.
Hate Thy Neighbor was really good last night. the whole show was about the border between Mexico and Arizona. it clearly showed how inept the government is. of course, none of them can be honest and just say they love cheap labor more than curbing illegal immigration.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The X-Files. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i did watch some of the New York Yankees vs. the New York Mets this afternoon. the Mets were winning 4-1 at one point. the Yankees scored 10 runs in the last two innings to win 11-4. this could be a fun season ahead.
the New York Rangers ran into a better team last night in Winnipeg and it showed. the Rangers lost 3-0. that should bring them back down to reality. in my view, it was a good loss as i truly want them to tank the damn season and get a high draft pick. hopefully, that is what happens.
there was some blowing snow when i went out to get the paper this morning. of course, i was in a hoodie and some shorts. that cold air felt really good on my left leg. the wind was a different story though. thankfully, i had enough in the trash can and recycle bin that neither blew away.
i will be on here tomorrow after Dayton plays VCU in the A10 tournament. either i will be surprisingly happy or relieved that this damn season is finally over.
that's all for me kids.
hasta luego amigos

i guess it's really winter now
the New York Rangers got outplayed last night by Dallas by a damn mile. somehow, the Rangers backup goalie kept them in the game and the team managed to score late to send the game into OT. there was no score in OT and eventually Dallas won in the shootout. the 2-1 loss may end up being the point that helps them make the playoffs at the end of the season. even if the most positive Rangers fan knows they didn't deserve it.
Monday Night Raw was really good last night. i'm hoping that Cesaro opened Vince's eyes last night at just how good he could be if they would give him a push.
Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution was pretty good last night. it really showed just how much politics will fuck up anything.
The Voice was excellent last night. i think i know at least two of the people that will be in the finals. i have no damn clue who gets the last two spots.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Voice and Drop the Mic. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i might try to do the blog in the morning tomorrow as i have to drive mom down to her financial planner in the afternoon. and then i think she wants to do some shopping south of town. so, that probably means i won't be home until well after dark.
as for now, i have to get the fucking trash picked up. i might as well get layered up. the fucking wind is biting today.

living with pain
i was saddened to hear the news that Gordie Howe died today. i never got to meet him but you could obviously tell the impact he had on a sport i truly love. rest in peace Mr. Hockey, your shift is done.
then i saw the news regarding David de Gea. when i saw he was trending on twitter, the first thought i had was who the fuck did Manchester United sell him to. instead, it was allegations from 4 years ago of him setting up a sex party that involved underage girls or rape or whatever for the U-21 Spain team. i thought the timing of this coming out was a bit fishy, especially when just yesterday he said in the Spanish papers that he is happy at United and was really happy the transfer to Real Madrid never happened last season. de Gea told the media that it is all lies and his lawyers are taking care of it. i'm interested to see what happens if he plays for Spain in Euro 2016.
but the best news i got today was when i found out one of my favorite local bands are finally putting out some new music for the first time in a decade. so, i know where my money will be going this weekend.
http://shrug.bandcamp.com/
i really didn't care for much of WWE Smackdown last night. i always enjoy the Kevin Owens spots, but other than that, this show was more of what i've seen the last few weeks. i can't wait for it to go live in July.
thankfully, Lip Sync Battle was really fucking good last night. i think i enjoy the hour long episodes much better than the normal ones.
i did enjoy both Copa America matches last night. Venezuela knocked Uruguay out of the tournament with a 1-0 victory. Mexico knocked Jamaica out by winning 2-0. tonight, Chile takes on Bolivia and Argentina takes on Panama. should be two more good ones.
i did watch France defeat Romania today 2-1 to start off the Euro 2016 tournament. the goal they won it on was amazing. the games tomorrow are Albania vs. Switzerland, Wales vs. Slovakia and England vs. Russia.
the New York Yankees finished off their sweep of the Angels by winning 6-3 last night. of course, they lost another first baseman in the win. that position is now cursed i believe. they start a series with Detroit tonight. it's Old Timer's weekend, so hopefully the winning continues. they are somehow back at .500 again.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and VICE.
i did enjoy San Jose defeating Pittsburgh last night, putting the party on hold. i think they play again on Sunday, back in San Jose.
i might watch some of Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight. i'd love to see Cleveland tie the series up at 2.
i listened to the latest podcast from Sam Roberts' Show. it was about the Stanford rape case. everyone should give it a listen. you can find it by going here:
http://notsam.com/srshow/2016/6/10/srshow-brock-turner-the-stanford-rape-case
i have to take mom to get some documents shredded tomorrow morning, so i have no clue when i'll be back on here. i think she wants to also go to Hobby Lobby and Bed Bath & Beyond tomorrow as well. great.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to be hot as fuck here (90's) and rainy as well. exactly the weather i want to be out in public in.
