i didn't sleep much last night. i guess it was the tornado watch. at least i got up early enough to get the damn trash out before they picked it up.
there was a couple performances i really enjoyed on The Voice last night.
Smackdown was great last night. it was light years better than Monday Night Raw this week.
205 Live was pretty good as well.
the season finale of Taboo was excellent. i really hope there will be a season 2.
the New York Rangers lost last night to Washington 4-1. the damn injury bug is hitting the team at exactly the wrong time.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i will be at the Dayton Flyers game tonight. it's senior night and Dayton has a chance to clinch the A10 title outright with a victory over VCU. it's a sellout and should be LOWD as hell tonight. hopefully i come home with no voice.
that's all for me today kids. i've got shit to do and a shower to take before i leave for the game tonight.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

when i woke up this morning and was in pain, i knew it must have rained overnight. sure enough, i was right. it's rained on and off all day and now the thunder has arrived. i'm not even going to bother to put out the trash tonight as it is supposed to storm all night long. good times.
i was really hoping Monday Night Raw was going to be good last night since they have a ppv this weekend. apparently, someone forgot to tell the writers that they need to have a good show before a ppv. for most of the evening, i was flipping the channels.
Hate Thy Neighbor was really interesting last night. it always amazes me when a racist doesn't believe he is racist. and honestly, i think the only way you can eradicate hatred in this world is to simply get rid of all organized religions.
there were a couple performances i really liked last night on The Voice.
i sent out 10 poems today; 5 each to Live Nude Poems and Horror Sleaze Trash. i will pass along the verdicts when i hear back from them.
on the DVR tonight will be: Vice News Tonight, WWE Smackdown, The Voice and Taboo. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Washington. the Rangers made a trade today, picking up a defenseman from Detroit. they had to give up 2 draft picks for him, but that's better than the 4 picks or players they would have had to give up to get Kevin Shattenkirk. of course, Washington traded for him. hopefully the Rangers will sign him in the summer. as for whom the Rangers got, i really think Brendan Smith is going to help the defense. at least i hope he will.
now they are saying we have the chance for tornadoes tonight. good times. i think the fuckers that do the weather around here knows it is mostly old people that watch the news. they are simply trying to scare the shit out of them most of the time.
that's all for me today kids. i'm going to go back to bed.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

i was very pleased with how Manchester United played today. going on the road is never easy in the Europa League. i guess the 3-0 lead from the first game certainly helped. United won today 1-0, despite having to play the last 30 minutes of the game with 10 men. now, i didn't like the injuries to Carrick and Mkhitaryan, as they will probably miss the League Cup Final this Sunday. but, with how United is playing now, their depth is certainly coming in handy. they are now on to the final 16 of the Europa League. hopefully they will be raising their first trophy of this season on Sunday.
the Dayton Flyers won last night 83-70 over George Mason. it was almost like watching a NBA game. it was a game of runs. Dayton would get up by 10 and then it was right back down to 1. Dayton had a 20-0 run in the second half that sort of put the game away. that all happened with the starters on the bench. the sophomore class has started calling themselves the 2K19 gang. they were responsible for most of that 20 point run. John Crosby, normally a human turnover for most of the season, played his best game of his career last night. 3 huge three pointers and no turnovers. easily, player of the game.
that's 100 wins for the senior class and a guaranteed double bye in the A10 tournament. next game is on Friday at Davidson. hopefully the boys aren't looking past that one, as the huge game against VCU is after that.
the New York Rangers lost to Montreal last night 3-2 in a shootout. i didn't get to see any of the game as it was over by the time i got home. at least they got a point. they next play tomorrow at Toronto.
i thought Smackdown was really good last night.
205 Live was really good as well.
Taboo was spectacular last night. i can't fucking wait to see what happens next week on the season finale.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i had to make a trip to the grocery store today to get some prescriptions for mom. she thought she had 2 but they only had 1 ready. of course, i wasn't expecting it to cost almost $200. good times.
my sister starts her new job in a few days. best of luck to her after so many years in one place. i told her to look at the bright side. if she likes her new job, she probably can work 10 years, take early retirement and then just travel the world for the rest of her life.
i have no damn clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i'm running on just a few hours of sleep today, so i'm guessing it won't be early tomorrow.

from the title, you can imagine what happened as i tried to get to the bathroom this morning. i just love being sick. i am down 15 lbs. though, so i'm either losing weight or dying. i honestly can see the positives for both.
Monday Night Raw was ok but pretty boring for most of the show. i loved seeing the old Kevin Owens finally returning. and seeing just how athletic Braun Strowman is, push that motherfucker to the moon Vince.
Hate Thy Neighbor was pretty interesting. Sweden certainly looks like a place i could live, especially when the far left is the ones that beat the shit out of the Nazi youths.
Unlocking the Cage was very interesting last night. i think i ended up watching that more than wrestling actually. it could be an amazing world if the judicial system in this country ever catches up to science. i know, i started to laugh as well.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, WWE Smackdown and Taboo. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i'll be at the Dayton Flyers game tonight at home against George Mason. if they can get a victory tonight, it will be the senior class 100th victory of their careers and guarantee Dayton a double bye in the A10 tournament.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Montreal. hopefully the Rangers can start another winning streak.
when i turned the Dayton Flyers on last night, the game was about 5 minutes old and Saint Louis still hadn't scored. that told me everything i needed to know. i love when a team takes no prisoners and refuses to play down to its competition. Dayton won last night, 85-63. honestly, the game never felt that close. the senior class set the record for most wins and i feel pretty confident that they are nowhere close to being finished this season. most encouraging for me is that Dayton is much closer to being 100% healthy again. music to my ears. they play again this Saturday at home. hopefully this fucking cough will be gone by then.
Smackdown was really good last night. i loved the triple threat match between Bray Wyatt, John Cena and AJ Styles. having Bray win and keep the title should prove that he belongs in that conversation.
205 Live was really good as well last night. i can't wait for Austin Aries to start wrestling again.
Taboo was great last night, as usual. amazingly, the show keeps getting darker. it's slowly filling my Penny Dreadful void.
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
my favorite radio station got sold to a religious broadcaster yesterday. fuck me.
i heard back from Bop Dead City on my recent poetry submission. they passed on what i sent but would like to see more in the future.

i started thinking about this today and i realized i have been single for 41 straight Valentine's Days. i'm sure a good number of them have been by choice but, especially for poetic purposes, a good number have also been the process of elimination. i have often wrote about being on the wrong side of that process. it's not fun. so, part of me would love to break this streak. but, part of me also understands i'd have a better chance of winning the lottery or brokering peace in the Middle East.
mom felt well enough today that she didn't take her walker with her when we went out and about. she also didn't use a cane. i made sure to be close enough to her that she wouldn't fall. hopefully this means her back is much better and now it's just about getting the hip better.
the New York Rangers won last night in Columbus, 3-2. that's 6 wins in a row. they next play on Thursday at the Islanders.
Monday Night Raw was spectacular last night. Bayley winning the Women's Championship was great. but, the best part of the show to me was Kevin Owens. i think him turning on Jericho now caught everyone off guard. that's why it was so fucking perfect. now, the badass that takes no shit, fuck the world, Kevin Owens is back.
Hate Thy Neighbor was very interesting last night. watching a gay pride parade in Jerusalem and seeing both sides of it was both good and bad. i love the number of people that are against hate. i hate the fact that some old man is taking poor boys and making them soldiers for their version of a religion. i thought the host made the best statement though. both sides love to talk, but neither of them listen. now everyone can understand why nothing gets done for peace in the Middle East.
Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis was brilliant last night. i'm not a huge fan of the band, but i am definitely a bigger fan after watching the documentary. the footage from Paris and the terrorist attack was amazing to watch. i'm not going to lie, i had a few tears during the documentary. i highly recommend checking this out.
the finale of The Young Pope was great last night. i didn't think i was going to enjoy the series but in the end, it was much better than i thought it was going to be.

the Dayton Flyers play at Saint Louis tonight. this is a game they MUST win and in doing so, the senior class will set the program record for most wins by one class in their 4 years. i'm really hoping to drink to that tonight.
a quick heads up, look for some of my poetry in the morning...

i'm definitely not getting enough sleep, so this might be a short one.
between the arthritis and the coughing, death is a beautiful option.
there's a chance for snow this evening. hopefully i'm drugged into a coma and miss it.
Smackdown was excellent last night. i think they set up their Elimination Chamber ppv this Sunday rather nicely.
205 Live was great as well. i think i'm certainly going to enjoy Jack Gallagher vs. Neville in a few weeks.
Taboo was fucking dark as hell again last night. i think i had just enough NyQuil and rum in me that it started to make sense.
The Dayton Flyers did exactly what i thought they would do last night. Saint Joseph's was shorthanded with 3 starters missing. so, of course, Dayton thought the game was going to be easy and played down to its competition. thankfully, they changed things around in the second half and avoided that landmine. Dayton won 77-70.
the New York Rangers won last night 4-1. The King stopped 43 of 44 shots. i still have a victory beer coming to me.

that's all for me kids. i'm off to the bed. i found it funny that this cold started right after i got that email from Moran Press that i was going to have a mini chapbook published and actually get a little money from it. my theory truly is the powers that be don't want me to be happy. i had to email my sister and tell her there was no way i was going to the basketball game tonight. i have been coughing for the last 2 days. i'm not running a fever but i definitely feel like shit. i went to the drugstore today and got some shit for my cough and to help me sleep. while i was at the store, life reminded me why i'm a loser. i'm standing in line waiting for this guy to get done with this beautiful cashier that i was really hoping to get a chance to flirt with. of course, an older lesbian opens up the next register and says, i can help you here sir. FUCK. there's another poem. i did laugh when i had to give the cashier the date of my birth so i could buy NyQuil though.
hopefully all the shit i got helps me get rid of this cough. if not, hopefully straight liquor will do the trick.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night. i would have loved to see Samoa Joe beat the shit out of Roman Reigns, but i understand. and i have no doubt that Goldberg taking on Kevin Owens at Fastlane means Owens is going to lose his title. that would make Goldberg vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania for the Universal title. that smells like what Vince thinks we want to see. as long as that means Owens vs. Jericho at Mania, i guess i can live with it.
Hate Thy Neighbor was about the budding racists in Ukraine. i have no problem when someone loves their country. when they are doing it with Neo-Nazi views, there's a big fucking problem.
The Young Pope was very interesting last night. there's only two episodes left. i have no damn clue where the show is going to go.

nearly all the teams ahead of Manchester United dropped points yesterday, so today was the day United could actually gain some ground with a big win. so, instead of playing with urgency right from the start, the boys took their sweet ass time to get going. i don't believe they had a shot on goal until 35 minutes into the game. now, the second half was a different story. United got robbed a few times with really good saves, got a little unlucky with the whistle, and honestly... anytime you play down to a team like Hull City, last in the fucking league, you probably get exactly what you deserve. instead of burying their damn chances, United is always more focused on doing something spectacular. too bad spectacular doesn't fucking win you games.
the New York Rangers missed some wide open chances last nights and before you knew it, Columbus was up 6-0. the Rangers scored 4 straight goals in the 3rd period to make the score look good, but it's not a good sign when they constantly dig themselves into these fucking holes.
thankfully, the Dayton Flyers had a pretty good second half last night and used their experience to win at Fordham 75-66. congrats to Kendall Pollard on making the 1,000 points club. Dayton next plays on Saturday at home against Duquesne.
i thought Smackdown was pretty good last night. i guess the plan is for Cena to lose the title in 2 weeks. as long as he never wins it again, i'm good with that.
205 Live was really good last night. i love that Akira Tozawa finally was on the show.
Taboo was great last night. really dark, really bloody, fucking insane... i loved it.

i can't stand when i go to bed and know i need to be up at like 6 or something and the first time i see the clock it says 3:10 AM. fuck me. my life is just a series of cat naps anymore i guess. i did get up early enough this morning to get a shower in before i took mom to her doctor's appointment.
i guess the shots worked good enough that she doesn't need surgery on her back right now. she goes back to this doctor in 2 months. in the meantime, she needs to figure out when she's going to get her hip done. good times.
the ending of Monday Night Raw saved the show for me last night. HHH coming out and doing a great long promo on Seth Rollins and then teasing getting ready to fight. that brings out Seth Rollins and then out of nowhere, Samoa Joe beats the shit out of Rollins. i absolutely loved it. that almost makes up for Joe not being in the Royal Rumble.
Gotham was really good last night. i can't wait to see what happens when the show comes back in April.
i watched The Young Pope this afternoon. this latest episode was excellent.
i also watched Becoming Warren Buffett this afternoon. if more rich people were like this man, this world wouldn't be the shit show it is.
Hate Thy Neighbor was very interesting last night. it also showed me why i gave up on religion.

the only reason i really write down what poems i send to where is to make sure i don't send the same rejected poems to the same place that rejected them. another thing it does is remind me of the places i don't hear back from. i usually will wait 3 to 6 months before the first query. but, when it gets to over a year, like a few places i've had to query here lately, it becomes this tedious fucking thing to do. i sent out about 6 queries today, some dating back to poetry submissions from 2015. i heard back from Oddball Magazine and Live Nude Poems who both passed on the poems i sent. Rusty Truck asked me to send the poems again, which i did. hopefully i will hear back from Scot this time, as i never heard back from him the first time i sent the poems in the summer of 2015. this is where i wish i had enough money to have someone to do this shit for me.
i went to the bank today. just my luck, they were training new employees. oh goody. i guess since i had a roll of quarters and 2 checks to deposit, the new guy was a bit flustered. what usually takes 2 minutes took about 10. thank god i had nowhere to be.
i got gas for 94 cents a gallon today. that'll work.
i was pretty much able to find everything i was looking for at Menards. i'm really hoping the frame i got works for the Ben Harper poster i have. plus, i got the shelving unit i wanted for the garage and a new household air station. the old one from the farm bit the dust. plus, i got all the cleaning shit mom wanted. all the rebates we had and the gift card my uncle gave me for Christmas knocked everything down to under $40. that was a good trip.
Smackdown was pretty good last night.
i really enjoyed the match between Neville and Cedric Alexander on 205 Live last night.
Taboo was super fucking dark again last night. the show is getting better with each episode.

so, mom decided she wanted to get a haircut today and take me out for my belated birthday lunch. i get a free coupon from Perkins every year, so that's where we usually go.
she decided to just use the cane today. i was very interested to see how she would do. of course, her cataracts were fucking with her today...
lunch was good, mom was being very careful while using the cane. i could tell she has become somewhat dependent on the walker. we went to the place we usually go to get our haircuts. this was the first time i had my hair cut by a black woman in god knows how long. she was a smoker as well. i could smell Newport all over her. i used to smoke them sometimes in my past. ah, the memories. the haircut went well, so i gave her a nice tip (40%). mom looked much better as well once she was done.
i know mom really needed this as she was feeling like a shut in. hopefully this lifts her spirits a bit.
the trash is already picked up, so let's get going on the blog...
Gotham was really fucking good last night. the winter finale should be amazing next week.
Hate Thy Neighbor was very interesting last night. i made my mother watch it as well. i'm always amazed at how ignorant racist people really are. this should be a show that everyone should watch. it's on Viceland.
The Young Pope was very good last night.
Beware the Slenderman was fascinating to watch. i'm so fucking happy i have never brought any children into this world. when the one mother said last night that they always knew there was a possibility that the father's schizophrenia could be passed on, i wanted to throw my remote through the television. it was not an easy documentary to watch. of course, i'm quick to blame the parents. i'm also happy that i had discovered drugs way before the internet came around so i wouldn't turn into one of these zombies believing crazy shit on the net. i highly recommend this one, but be warned, there are no easy answers on this one.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i did mark out a bit at the end when Goldberg and Brock Lesnar were in the ring and The Undertaker's music hit. it's not really good for business when the show ends with 3 part timers, but the child in me loved it. Royal Rumble this Sunday should be amazing.

my blood sugar was pretty good this morning. i'm trying to limit myself to just one alcoholic beverage per evening. so far, that has gone well. plus, the numbers seem to be better when i have a big lunch and not much for dinner.
tomorrow i know i need to go to the bank and i have to get gas as well. i might make a trip to Menards as well. that kind of depends on how the weather is tomorrow. i'll do the blog after all that.

imagine walking in to get your driver's license renewed and you see they are serving number 52. you pull your number and it's 63. all you have to sit on are these hard benches, sort of like you are waiting to be booked into jail. of course, it's raining outside and your arthritis is absolutely killing you. you look at all the bruises on your left ring finger. not a good first day to be trying to track your blood sugar. after 20 minutes, they finally get to your number. it's the same woman from 4 years ago that almost failed you on the vision test. oh joy. amazingly, everything goes well and one shitty picture and 10 minutes later... you have a new driver's license. talk about an afternoon wasted, unless you happened to...
i wrote 10 poems this afternoon before the adventure began. what happens to be most times is something will hit me when i'm either on the toilet or in the shower. i believe it is all due to me constantly talking to myself. i was pissing and a few words hit me and 35 minutes later, i had 10 poems. i typed them up after i got home this afternoon and i really, really liked them. that's now 21 poems in 18 days for the month. that's the goal this year, write as much as fucking possible, each month.
the New York Rangers scored in the first minute last night. the next time i turned to the game they were trailing 3-1. fuck me. i ended up watching most of the rest of the game. a crazy 7-6 loss to Dallas that never should have happened. i have no fucking clue why the coach waited so damn long to pull Hank and put in the backup goalie. the Rangers tried to get the game tied late, but failed. much like how this season is quickly turning into a failure.
Smackdown was pretty good last night.
205 Live was pretty good last as well.
i really enjoyed Taboo last night. the show is still dark as hell, but i actually like that. Tom Hardy's character is so fucking creepy, it's fucking great.

a big THANK YOU to my friend/fan for the gift card i got in the mail today. an excellent early birthday gift. i'll use it wisely.
i will be back on here tomorrow early as the Dayton Flyers play at home tomorrow night. it's most likely going to be a sellout, which is good since they will be playing for a share of first place in the league. more on that tomorrow.

so when the grocery store called this afternoon to tell us our prescriptions were ready, mom warned me. one of her pills has a comma in the price, so be prepared. ok, great. i got to the store and gave the woman the info. i had 5 things coming, mom had 6. oh joy. the woman looked at the prices for the drugs for my mom and was like sir, do you know how much these cost? i laughed and said yes, i came prepared. i broke out my credit card with the highest limit and when it was all said and done, the total was just under $2,000. nothing like walking out of a pharmacy with 2 grocery bags of drugs. so, tomorrow morning i get to wake up, piss and then go check my blood sugar. good times.
i completely forgot that Gotham was coming back on last night. thankfully, i was able to watch it this morning online. it was excellent as usual.
i'm all in on The Young Pope. the second episode last night was great. i love the subtle humor and just how bizarre or surreal all of it can be at times. plus, the storyline of a vicious pope who is pissed because he was an orphan and now wants to take it out on the people is excellent.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i'm thrilled that Kurt Angle is going in the Hall of Fame. plus, this year's Royal Rumble looks like it could be an instant classic.

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and Taboo. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Dallas. hopefully they can get a damn win tonight.
i've been doing my laundry today on top of everything else. i still haven't even read the damn paper or picked up the trash here yet. now you know why the title of this post is what it is.
i think tomorrow might be the day i decide to torture myself and go get my driver's license renewed. who knows, i might have something interesting to talk about after that. or at least write about.
that's all for me kids. i have shit to do, clothes to fold, trash to collect...
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so i ended up going to the funeral today. i was a little surprised that mom lasted as long as she did. we didn't go to the cemetery but we were at the funeral home for almost 2 hours. i saw most of my cousins and whatnot. i didn't talk much as i certainly wasn't in the mood. when the service started, the cousin that molested me sat right in front of me. all i could think was pure fucking evil. i used to laugh when god would shove this shit in my face. now, it's just infuriating. i found it quite interesting that my mother never got mentioned at all in the service. i suppose that answers my question from the other day. purely selfish. these are the days i like to slink away with a book and a bottle of something strong. one day i'll make Dylan Thomas look like an amateur.
but, i survived it all. mom is certainly feeling the effects of being out for that long. she'll spend the rest of the day on her back with an ice pack. my sister is already back on the road home. she leaves for a cruise this weekend i believe. i think she gets back on my birthday.
so that's enough family for me for quite some time.
we had thunderstorms roll through here last night. the satellite was fucked up for about 20 minutes or so. it happened right as the President was starting to give his farewell address. i guess mother nature is a Trump supporter.
Smackdown was pretty good, for what i actually got to see. i wish they would have done the Cena match differently, but he likes to bury young talent as well.
205 Live was really good. i think they are really starting to find a groove on the show.
Taboo was interesting last night. it is certainly a very dark show. i did like that it looked like 1814 London and was pretty accurate for the period. Tom Hardy's character is beyond tortured. it was a bit of a mind fuck at times, but i enjoy that. i certainly will be back for the next episode.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight at UMass. Charles Cooke is back for Dayton. hopefully he stays healthy for the rest of the season. i'm really hoping Dayton plays great tonight and wins big. the game is on CBS Sports Network.
