so, i wrote another 4 poems last night. those truly came out of nowhere, which always makes me happy.
the New York Rangers won last night at home against Pittsburgh, 4-2.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

it has been a sunny day here. not hot, so i could actually open up the house and let the light breeze in. these are the days where i would love to fall asleep in the sun for a few hours and truly relax. i did make it to the bank today. i drove around a bit afterwards, just allowing my mind to escape a bit i guess. plus, there is enough construction around here, i have to go all these different ways to everything it seems.
here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:
not just any weekend, WrestleMania weekend.
before i get into all of that, here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:
mom wanted me to wake her up at 9:30 this morning for her 11 AM meeting with her financial planner. i was up at 6:45, so i could get all my shit done and have breakfast in me by 9:30. everything went to plan until the actual meeting. mom can't see well enough to do anything on her iPad other than play games. her regular computer is shit and mine has that fucking hum, so we had no choice but to use her iPad for this meeting. eventually, i got everything set up for her. i swear, i feel like an IT guy on call. once everything got set up and running, the meeting went fine. her financial planner does a really good job of communicating with mom so she knows what is going on. better, he makes sure i know what is going on since i have power of attorney.
quick tv update in the living room. we believe it might be the sound bar that is fucking up. we get the picture fine but the sound is all fucked up. so yeah...
AEW Dynamite was really good last night.
we got around 4 inches of snow yesterday. i was a little surprised when the city was plowing the roads last night around 11 or so. the snow shouldn't last long as we will be in the 60's by the middle of next week.
here are your videos for this day of Black History Month:
i made a bet back in August last year that the Kansas City Chiefs would win the Super Bowl. after last night, i wish i would have been able to put more on that bet. but, the one rule i stick to when gambling is only bet what you can afford to lose. so, i put $1 down on it and won $9 last night when the Chiefs won in overtime over the 49ers, 25-22. i thought the game eventually got good. halftime was really good. the commercials were sort of hit and miss for me, but there were more hits than misses. add in the nachos i made for dinner and all in all, it was a pretty good night.
i saw something on the news last night that said out of the 31 days in January, 28 of them had no sun at all. so, you can imagine my surprise when i saw the sun this morning.
as many of you know, i try to do a little something in this blog every day in February for Black History Month. sometimes it will be links to stories or videos, etc. with all the fucking war going on in the world and everything, i think this year will just be videos. so, here are your videos for this day of Black History Month.
first off, i had a conversation with an old friend/lover last night. it is kind of shocking at times what happens when you don't hear from someone for a few months. glad you are still alive. we shall be meeting again soon.
so, my eye doctor's appointment went well today. my right eye is a little worse, but not bad enough to need new glasses. and my new insurance is certainly coming in handy. this appointment would usually cost me $45 or more in the past. today it was $29. the prescription i got from Rite Aid today was $12. it always cost me $30 when i got it at Kroger. so, i'm really fucking happy all the bullshit with my insurance seems to be figured out now.
the New York Rangers lost to Detroit last night in a shootout, 3-2. just one of those frustrating as fuck nights.
so, i figured i would do the blog now instead of trying to squeeze it in after the Manchester United game this afternoon. mostly because i also need to go to the bank today as well.
the Dayton Flyers won last night at Rhode Island, 63-57. thankfully, they shot way better in the second half than the first.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.
right after i got home from the grocery store, it started to snow. so, i guess i got pretty lucky with that. of course, i wasn't that lucky while i was out.
the 2021 Topps cards were released today. i tried getting on the website and couldn't. by the time i could, everything was sold out. i checked out 2 Rite-Aids today and a Walgreens, no luck. i almost went to Meijer but decided against it. oh well.
Manchester United defeated West Ham yesterday 1-0 in extra time to advance in the FA Cup. the game nearly put me to sleep. thankfully, they won.
so, i woke up to the new that Larry King was dead. i know it always seems like famous people dies in 3's, but it is getting ridiculous these days.
