you ever have to shit while taking a shower? welcome to my morning. and lets just say, i didn't quite make it. so, of course, i was late to my appointment to get my blood drawn. but, only by 3 minutes. thankfully, everything went smooth while i was getting my blood drawn. after that was over, i went to the post office. i think the guy was happy i only had 3 packages he had to do the postage for. last year, it was 11. then i went back home and had breakfast.
this afternoon, i went to Lowe's to get some things that mom needed. plus, since it is supposed to snow tonight, i got some salt to put out. after that, i got gas since i noticed i was down to a 1/4 tank. considering i have to drive mom somewhere on Friday, i knew i better fill it up.
my back is killing me. arthritis isn't far behind. and i need to get the trash picked up and figure out dinner. so yeah, the blog is going to be rushed through today. good times.
The Voice was really good last night. i have no clue who is going to get cut tonight as they go from 8 to the Final 5.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT and The Voice.
i did listen to episode 372 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can hear that by going here:
the New York Rangers play tonight at Chicago. hopefully, they will find a way to win again tonight.
i should be on here sometime tomorrow. i'm not sure when the snow is really supposed to hit. so, i might do the blog first thing in the morning and then go do the grocery shopping. i know Manchester United plays tomorrow in the Champions League. and then the Dayton Flyers and New York Rangers both play tomorrow night. so yeah, the morning might be the only time i have to write the blog.
i know i need to get the trash picked up, so that's all for me kids.
until tomorrow...

i hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day.
yesterday was one of those days where nothing went my way.
the Yankees got swept by the shitty Detroit Tigers, 6-2. they start a series this afternoon at home against Tampa. they are 4 1/2 games behind them in the division.
the USMNT lost to Switzerland yesterday in a soccer friendly, 2-1.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs yesterday:
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs yesterday:
i did watch some of the Indy 500 yesterday and the Coca Cola 600 as well.
the finale of Mare of Easttown was fucking great last night.
The Chi was really good last night.
Black Monday was pretty funny last night.
Flatbush Misdemeanors was very good last night.
Ziwe was brilliant last night.
to top everything off for yesterday, the bread i bought on Wednesday already had mold on it. good times.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i do plan on watching some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight.
i will probably watch some of the NCAA Lacrosse national championship today. Maryland will be facing Virginia.
i did some work outside this morning. i got the new birdfeeder station up. mom doesn't remember it being as tall as it is. but, i've got it pretty close to our front window, so she should be able to see the birds pretty good when they are on the feeders. i also watered the tomatoes in the back and took some old chairs to the front of the house. i think we're throwing them away since a good portion of the wood is rotted out. i picked up some weeds and filled the rest of the bird feeders. so, i'm done outside for the rest of today.
i'm going to take a shower here shortly and probably get to icing my back down for the rest of the day.
at least i know i will have 1 drink tonight.
team USA won at the Hockey Worlds this morning, 2-0 over Germany. i'm pretty sure they are guaranteed to make the quarterfinals now.
as an American, Boxing Day to me has always meant plenty of soccer games from England. now that i'm older, i understand the holiday more, but i'm still all about the soccer games.
Manchester United fell behind 1-0 early today against Newcastle and i immediately thought, shit, here we go again. thankfully, today was not the same old same old. United scored 3 straight before halftime. all 3 strikers scored the goals. Anthony Martial would add a second in the second half to put United up 4-1. that would be the final score of the game. they desperately needed this victory today.
what Dec. 26th also means to me is the start of the World Juniors tournament for hockey. the tournament this year is in the Czech Republic. team USA played Canada today. the USA blew a 2 goal lead as Canada scored the next 4 goals. the USA worked their way back to even the game at 4. that lasted all of 7 seconds, as Canada scored again and eventually won the game 6-4. it's not the end of the world for the USA, but it makes the road to a gold medal that much harder. i believe they play Germany tomorrow afternoon. that's now a MUST win game.
NXT was really good last night. NXT UK was a recap of 2019 this afternoon.
i did watch plenty of NBA games yesterday.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
nothing on the DVR tonight. i might end up doing some writing tonight. hell, i might try getting some sleep. i know, i can hear your laughter from here.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done and make a trip to the bank.
i hope everyone had a great Christmas. there was a little snow left in our neighbor's yard... so that's as close as we got to a white Christmas. i believe the high yesterday was 62. the joys of climate change.
time to get ready for this year and decade to be over soon.
until tomorrow kids.

when i woke up yesterday, it had just started to snow. it was just enough to coat the grass and sidewalks and was gone by 11 in the morning. we ended up having this really good breakfast that mom decided she wanted to try. i think it was like a baked french toast. it was excellent. then we opened presents. i think i really surprised mom with what i got her. i did have a good laugh when my sister realized she forgot one of my presents back at her house. so, i know one thing i will be getting for my birthday (Jan. 21 in case anyone wants to plan ahead). i got some notebooks to write in, some clothes, some music, a couple books and a movie. all in all, it was a good Christmas. my sister went back last night. mom loved that we didn't fight while she was here. oh yeah, here's a good story. so my mother loves the color purple. so, she put some streaks in her hair last night that were purple. it took my sister over 2 hours to even realize it. we are getting a new front and back door today and tomorrow. mom and i are wondering if my sister will even realize it when she comes back here for my birthday.
Smackdown was really good last night.
i did watch a ton of NBA games yesterday. i'm interested to see how long LeBron is going to be out with his groin injury.
the Manchester United game wasn't on television this morning. but, i did follow online and love that they ended up winning today, 3-1. hopefully they can get on a roll here and who knows, maybe they will surprise us all and do some great things this season.
i already did the trash today. it probably won't get picked up until tomorrow, but you never know with these fucks around here.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll watch NXT, NXT UK and 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the World Junior tournament starts today. the New York Rangers will have 4 players in the tournament, so i'm going to try to keep track of those players. also, i always try to watch the team USA games when i can. i believe they play Slovakia tonight.
i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i probably need to go to the bank and deposit some of the Christmas money. but, that all depends on how long they are here tomorrow finishing putting in the doors.
i hope everyone had a great Christmas. i hope your Boxing Day has gone well.
until tomorrow kids...

i suppose i never fully bought in to the meaning of any holiday in this country as a child. the Fourth of July was always just fireworks, hot dogs, dysfunction and people bitching about politics over alcohol. i don't think it was ever about freedom once in my lifetime. i always think of the George Carlin line, freedom is the illusion of choice, or something like that. it's mainly a day to sit around, bitch about the heat, drink too much, and then laugh at the animals as the fireworks scare the shit out of them tonight. when i lived out on the farm i would usually have 2 or 3 cats come up missing after the 4th. the fireworks would chase them right into the waiting mouths of the coyotes. the cycle of life i suppose.
so today is basically a hot dog eating contest, some baseball, and then catching up on some sleep. i do plan on doing some poetry work today. i have a few new places in mind to send to. that will let me know if what i'm writing now is actually any good or not.
i did write 1 poem last night. i tried to be a good boy and go to sleep at a decent hour. i spent the first 30 minutes tossing and turning because i had a line pop into my head. 2 1/2 hours later, i had a really, really good poem. i will hopefully find a potential home for that later today.
the New York Yankees won last night over Atlanta, 8-5. they will go for the series win this afternoon.
Deadliest Catch was really interesting last night. the whole episode was about the Bering Sea Triangle. fascinating shit.
Smackdown was really good last night.
205 Live was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i imagine at some point tonight i'll probably watch some fireworks. our little town doesn't do any on the 4th. they do their fireworks when the community picnic happens, whenever the fuck that is. i've lived in this area since 1997 and i'm still plotting my exit.
not exactly sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know the guy that's measuring the windows will be here at noon. and i will probably have to go to the grocery store to pick up a new prescription for me. so, perhaps in the early evening hours. maybe in the morning if a wild hair gets up my ass.
i hope everyone has a safe and fun Fourth of July. comfort your pets and take it easy on the drinking in these hot ass temperatures. and then take it easy again.

i remember when i was in 4th grade and we went to a camp as a class. we were told to bring a book to read. of course, i was reading a biography of Robert F. Kennedy at the time. looking back, i was so much different than everyone else in the class, no wonder i'm a fucking loner at 42. but, i thought about that today on the 50th anniversary of RFK's assassination. i always wonder what if he would have become president, instead of Nixon. would anything today truly be any different? considering Nixon 2.0 is in the White House right now, i doubt it. i have always felt what "help" RFK would have given to minorities, would have been reversed within a few years. if this country does anything well, it's fucking racism.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
the New York Yankees split the doubleheader yesterday in Detroit. they won the first game 7-4. they lost the nightcap 4-2. they stranded a small village in that second game. oh well. they start a 2 game series in Toronto tonight.
i do like what the Yankees have done so far in the MLB Draft.
here are your highlights from Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final last night:
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
mom and i went to Waffle House after her doctor's appointment today. she will be getting another injection into her back in July. hopefully, Medicare will pay for most or all of that. we will have to travel less for these injections, thankfully. they will be done in the office.
of course, it's fucking raining now. and i have to still go next door to do the trash. joy.
i did write 3 poems last night. i got into one of my moods and really went dark for a few hours. between sad songs and porn, you can imagine what i wrote. i typed them up this morning. i like them. i will definitely be using them in my next round of submissions. i'm hoping to get those out this weekend.
mom is having people come over to give estimates on getting new windows for the house. she's also talking about having the landscaping completely made over. at least i'm smart enough to know there will be no money left for me when she dies. hell, my father left me nothing either.
i do love what Manchester United is doing:
that's all for me kids. i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon, most likely.

i kind of figured it would go like this. i've had a good number of poems published in the last 12 hours or so. and i try to do my part and make sure to post them on the places i always post, help get the word out. but, my arthritis is such now that even typing is becoming a fucking nightmare. i feel like i have had 40 some years of trying to find the pleasure in the pain... and just when i need to the most, i won't be able to. if that doesn't sum up my existence on this earth, i don't know what does.
the New York Yankees scored 4 in the first inning last night. so, to see them lose 7-5 to the Angels made me a little fucking angry. one of those games where they couldn't get a big hit when they needed it and the third base coach made one of the worst decisions i have ever seen. i know Aaron Judge has pretty good speed for a man his size, but to send him from second when the outfielder has the ball before the runner even touches third base is inexcusable. fuck, i probably would have fired him on the spot, that's how damn bad it was. the Yankees will try to end their losing streak as they start a series out in Oakland tonight.
NXT was pretty good last night.
Lucha Underground was excellent last night, mostly because Pentagon Dark was back.
The Putin Interviews, Part 3 were pretty interesting last night. i got a good laugh at Putin explaining that he did nothing wrong in Ukraine and it was all Europe's and the USA's fault. it was also the first time i had seen inside The Kremlin in years. i think the only thing that had changed since Stalin was the paint. Part 4 should be interesting tonight. of course, i expect more creative bullshit answers.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Putin Interviews, Part 4.
mom did pretty good today with the occupational therapist. i do like the fact she seems to be sleeping more. that actually gives me a chance to do some shit; like shave, shower, put the dishes away, etc.
there's a rumor my sister is coming down for the weekend. mom's birthday is tomorrow. i still have to figure out a damn card.
i guess i need to go figure out dinner. joy.

not a bad start to my Sunday morning... nearly 5 hours of sleep, a solid shit, 4 poems published and 2 more accepted for publication, the morning paper wasn't wet and the sun was out.
i got some pretty good naps yesterday watching the Copa America. the USA got the best case scenario with the Costa Rica. vs. Paraguay match. a 0-0 draw and Costa Rica's best defender got a red card, so he'll miss the game against the USA on Tuesday. i felt bad for Haiti as they had a glorious chance to draw against Peru at the death and blew it. and then there was Brazil vs. Ecuador. Ecuador got fucking robbed of a goal that should have won them the game. and good god, Brazil acted like they have no clue how to go forward without Neymar, who was up in the press boxes with Justin Bieber of all people.
today is Jamaica vs. Venezuela and Mexico vs. Uruguay. hopefully there will be more goal scoring than yesterday.
ROH was amazing last night. a really fun hour of pro wrestling.
Austin City Limits was really good last night as well.
the New York Yankees tried their hardest to piss away a 7-0 lead last night but eventually held on to win 8-6. they will go for the series win in Baltimore this afternoon.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Silicon Valley, Veep, Last Week Tonight, House of Lies and Penny Dreadful.
we got over an inch of rain yesterday. good thing i slept because my body was aching. we're supposed to get more rain today.
i was happy to see San Jose won in OT last night in game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. a fitting ending for waiting 25 years to see that big of a game in San Jose.
i might watch some of game 2 of the NBA Finals tonight. hopefully Cleveland will win so it will be a compelling series. if Golden State wins, i don't think Cleveland has a chance to win the championship.
that's all for me today kids. i hope your Saturday was great. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.
