as i was falling asleep last night, i realized i forgot to call in my medications to the pharmacy. so, first thing i did this morning after i took my blood sugar (which always seems to be lower a morning after i drink any whiskey over 100 proof), i called in my medications. and for shits and giggles, i got on the Rite Aid website to see if i could schedule getting a vaccine shot. and holy shit, they actually had appointments available in town next week. so, i made mine and told mom to go make hers. so, we both get our first shot next Tuesday evening.
The Voice was good last night. it was the last night of the blind auditions. now, the battle rounds start.
the series finale of Beartown was excellent last night.
Monday Night Raw was a little up and down for me last night. at least the up parts were really, really good.
the New York Rangers defeated Buffalo last night, 5-3.
the Yankees lost to the Phillies last night, 4-0. today, they are playing the Tigers. it's currently 5-5 in the bottom of the 9th.

mom scared the shit out of me last night. it was around 2 in the morning and she called for me while in bed and asked me to go get the stuff to check her blood pressure. it was high, all 3 times we took it. she took some Tylenol and then went to sleep. i'm hoping they get her on the pills she needs to be on to get her blood pressure down soon. the way she describes the way her heart feels, i'm not liking what it coming down the road without some new pills soon.
i have to take her to an appointment tomorrow at 8 in the morning. that should be a fresh slice of hell, since neither of us are morning people. but, i hope that will be the last one she needs to see to get on the new medications.
the Yankees and Tigers finished at 5-5.
i need to go pick up the trash here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

so, Manchester United pissed me off so much yesterday (more on that in a bit) that i decided i just had to get out of the fucking house. i knew mom's pills were ready at Kroger, so i just took the grocery list with me. before i went to Kroger, i decided to go to the Rite-Aid near Kroger to see if they had any baseball cards. well, holy shit. i found two jumbo packs of 2021 Topps Series 1 and a Fairfield box of cards. all told, $14. i'm pretty sure i got more than that out of the 2021 packs by a mile. and today, my packs from Repacked Wax arrived. 5 packs of football cards and 5 packs of baseball cards. i paid a little over $40 for these and since there was a damn near perfect Bo Jackson rookie card in the football packs, i probably got over $110 worth of cards out of the 10 packs. that works for me.
so, Manchester United got knocked out of the FA Cup yesterday, losing 3-1 to Leicester. i didn't like the way Ole set up the team to begin with and why he didn't take off Fred as soon as possible blows my fucking mind. basically, all the team has now is the Europa League. i'm sure they will find a way to fuck that up along the way.
WWE Fastlane last night started off really slow. but, by the end of the night i was buzzing. Daniel Bryan once again showed why he is one of the best pro wrestlers EVER and i have no doubt that the main event of WrestleMania is now going to be a triple threat. plus, The Fiend came back from the dead. it was fucking bizarre and crazy and i'm all for it.
VICE was really good last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always.
Shameless was very funny last night. just 3 episodes left...
Desus & Mero was hilarious last night.
Batwoman was excellent last night.
as for the NCAA tournament, i had Illinois in the final, so once they lost yesterday, i can't give two shits anymore. i have Gonzaga winning it all. i get the feeling that it is going to be nothing but chaos for the rest of the games.

my sister did come down for a little while today. she went to the funeral of our aunt. she said it was just a quick little service with just family around.
the USMNT under 23's won yesterday over the Dominican Republic, 4-0. that qualifies them to move on in the Olympic qualifying.
the Yankees won yesterday over the Blue Jays, 8-3. they play the Phillies tonight.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Buffalo. hopefully, they don't have a letdown game against a team that truly fucking stinks.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

mom had a nurse out here today (who was smoking hot) to draw some blood. a hour later, she had some physical therapy. so, she'll be useless for the rest of the day and night.
the New York Rangers lost last night to Philadelphia, 5-4 in OT. it's probably a good thing i didn't watch most of the game.

so, Drew Brees announced his retirement from the New Orleans Saints yesterday, 15 years to the day he signed with the team. he is easily the best quarterback in team history and in my opinion, one of the greatest of all-time.
i had to go out and do some things today. mom needed a few things and to have some pills picked up. i needed to go to the bank and make a deposit. and of course, it was raining the whole fucking time.
Manchester United won yesterday over West Ham 1-0. it should have been a much bigger score, but i guess the own goal from West Ham will have to do.
the finale of Allen v. Farrow was good last night.

Batwoman was really good last night.

so, much to my amazement, the Dayton Flyers made the NIT field last night. of course, once i saw the number of teams that declined, i quickly realized why Dayton was included. the school still thinks the NIT means something. sadly, most of the fan base does as well. they play Memphis on March 20th i believe.
as for the NCAA tournament, i think Gonzaga has the easiest route to the Final 4.
Dayton's old coach got fired from Indiana today. i'm a little surprised that Archie didn't do better there.
the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Philadelphia. hopefully, the boys find way to win tonight.
the Yankees won yesterday over the Blue Jays, 5-1. they defeated the Phillies today, 4-2.

so, i had to go out and get some stuff for my mother today. i figured fuck it, i might as well try to find some baseball cards as well. no luck at either Rite-Aid i went to today, though i did find everything my mother needed. i went to Big Lots hoping i would find something. i found the cookies my mother wanted... as i was waiting to checkout, i looked to my left and saw an Upper Deck logo. i had never seen these cards before. fuck it, i bought 5 packs of them. 2019 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions. i didn't think much of the cards until i pulled 2 Luka Doncic cards. i looked those up on Ebay and they are going for over $30. well, shit. i also pulled a Wayne Gretzky card out of a pack that is going for more than $10. ok, that works.
i switched it up last night and decided to watch The Voice first and record Monday Night Raw. that way, i could fast forward my way through Raw and cut out all the shit that bores me these days. trust me, it was most of the show.

as i sat down to watch the Manchester derby yesterday, i was hoping for the best. 35 seconds in, i was fucking buzzing. when Bruno scored the penalty, my hopes got much higher. when Luke Shaw of all people scored the second goal, i was through the roof. this was easily the best game United had played all season. Manchester United defeated Manchester City 2-0. that ended City's 21 game winning streak.
the New York Yankees defeated the Phillies yesterday, 4-0. they are off today.
the New York Rangers lost at Pittsburgh last night, 5-1.
i did watch a good portion of the NBA All-Star game festivities last night. i thought it went about as well as anything could go in the pandemic.

Monday Night Raw was good last night, for what i watched. to be honest, it wasn't much. i did see Bobby Lashley finally win the WWE Championship. that's been long overdue. other than that, i honestly was watching The Voice.
The Voice was pretty good last night.
The Investigation was excellent last night. the finale is next week.

the Dayton Flyers had 20 turnovers last night. Jalen Crutcher fouled out on some of the softest fucking calls i have ever seen. and somehow, Dayton beat Saint Bonaventure 55-52. that means Dayton ends up the 7 seed in the A10 Tournament. they will face Rhode Island on Thursday. if they win that game, they will have to face VCU on Friday.
the Yankees won today over the Orioles, 4-2.

Manchester United and Chelsea played a lifeless 0-0 draw yesterday. there's a few hours of my life i'll never get back.
the New York Rangers lost to Boston yesterday 4-1. i wasn't that surprised honestly.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday to Toronto, 6-4. they won today over Detroit, 5-4. they certainly have home run hitters this year, that's for sure.

i did listen to episode 332 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can listen to that by going here:
i mailed the baseball cards out today at the post office. after that, i went to the bank to make a deposit. Alexis was working there again. i don't believe she understands just how fucking sexy she is. after that, i had to go to Kroger to pick up prescriptions for myself and my mother. i did stop by the Rite-Aid up there. no luck on any baseball or football cards. i did get the first part of my Amazon order in today. now i have 3 more storage boxes for the cards.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. it will most likely be in between loads of laundry.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
thanks to everyone that has checked out my latest published poems:
mom's doctor's appointment was long, like i predicted, but at least she got some clarity on what meds she should be taking and what she can stop taking. i swear, if you saw our kitchen table right now, it's like a scene out of Drugstore Cowboy.
Monday Night Raw last night was good, for the most part.
Beartown was excellent last night. i think i am going to love this show.
The Investigation was great last night.
late last night, i heard from my friend Janne Karlsson from Sweden. first time i had heard from him in over a year. i'm so happy he's not dead.

i know my "normal" life will not exist for months now, given that my mother nearly died. the home health nurse came out today. they are sending someone on Friday to get mom's pills all in order so she can't forget to take something anymore. i know the next few weeks will be hectic as fuck as i have to take her to about 4 different doctors. and somewhere in all of that, i have to find the time to sell some baseball cards, write some poetry and maintain this blog. the odds of me dying by 50 are better than ever now. good times.
WWE Elimination Chamber was pretty good last night and definitely made the road to WrestleMania a little more interesting. of course, i would love to see The Miz lose the title tonight...
