it is like a low hum in my left ear today. i'm not sure if it is something COVID related or maybe my mental tricks actually still work from time to time. i have always been a big believer in accepting the pain as a means to control it. after my 3 hours of shitty sleep last night, i figured that would be the best thing i could do with my ear. so far it has worked pretty good for me today.
so, if all goes to plan tomorrow, mom will be back home. the group call today went pretty good. i could tell from listening to mom on it, she is more than ready to be back home. i do feel like i am symptom free, so i will hopefully be testing negative soon.
the World Cup was a bit crazy today. i woke up and saw Argentina was up 1-0 on Saudi Arabia and went back to sleep. so, when i woke up later and saw that Saudi Arabia beat Argentina, 2-1, i had to make sure i had my damn glasses on so i knew i wasn't misreading something. holy shit. in the other games today, Denmark and Tunisia finished 0-0, likewise for Mexico vs. Poland; France defeated Australia today 4-1.
CR7 is now gone from Manchester United. i can't say i am surprised. it was obvious what he was trying to do with the Piers Morgan interview. hopefully he finds what he is looking for but i highly doubt anyone other than those teams in China or Saudi Arabia is going to pay what he wants to play anymore.
now, if this Manchester United news actually happens, i will be more than happy...
the New York Knicks won last night in Oklahoma City, 129-119.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
The Voice was really good last night. i have no clue who is getting voted off tonight.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night.
the series finale of The Vow last night was excellent. hard to believe there are still people brainwashed by that fucker.
Avenue 5 was hilarious last night. the season finale is next week.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, NXT and Tales From The Territories.
the New York Rangers play tonight out in Los Angeles against the Kings.
i should be on here tomorrow before the Dayton Flyers play Wisconsin down in the Bahamas.
tomorrow in the World Cup, Morocco plays Croatia, Germany takes on Japan, Spain plays Costa Rica and Belgium plays Canada.
i need to pick up the trash and figure out my dinner tonight.
so, i did write 3 poems yesterday while mom was doing her physical therapy. i typed them up last night and i think they are pretty good. after she got done, she had to have her frozen Coke. she likes to play this little trick anymore where she forgets to bring any money along at all. so, i had to get my credit card out. i really love when she does this when we're at the mechanic or doctor's office, etc. i remember one time the bill at the mechanic was over $800. she swore she had her credit card on her. of course, she found it on her desk when we got back home. good times.
i love what the New Orleans Saints did in the first round last night. they drafted Chris Olave from Ohio State. he fills a desperate need at WR. and then they drafted the nastiest offensive lineman in the draft in Trevor Penning out of Northern Iowa. that fills another desperate need. hopefully they fill some more holes in the second and third round tonight.
the Yankees won yesterday against the Orioles, 10-5. that is two sweeps in a row. they start a series tonight at the Royals.
Manchester United and Chelsea finished 1-1 yesterday. CR7 to the rescue yet again. he scored 2 minutes after Chelsea took the lead. i only got to see the highlights when i got home.
NXT UK was good yesterday.
Young Sheldon was good last night.
United States of Al was hilarious last night.
both episodes of How We Roll were pretty good last night.
Vice News Tonight had two great episodes this week.
NJPW was excellent last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking great last night.
Atlanta was amazing last night.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:
here are your 3 videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage, Real Time with Bill Maher and A Black Lady Sketch Show. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
the New York Rangers play their final game of the regular season tonight at home against Washington. this could be a preview of their first round playoff matchup. they are either going to play Pittsburgh or Washington.
i will probably be on here tomorrow in the morning.
sometime late tonight i'll put out my last SoundCloud recording for this month.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.

so, i got home from the grocery store right in time to watch the Manchester United game today. of course, they went down 2-0 in the first half against Atalanta. i was so angry during the first half, i went through the baseball cards i got today instead of watching most of it. paid $5 for the Fairfield box, there was around $12 worth of cards in it. i had lunch and then watched the second half. Rashford scored to make it 2-1. Maguire of all people scored to make it 2-2. and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo scored to win the game for United, 3-2. they are now on top of the group in the Champions League. hopefully, this gives them some good thoughts going into the weekend where they play Liverpool on Sunday.
the grocery stores today were ok. my back has been killing me all day long. i helped take down all the tomato plants last night and get it all out for the trash today. mom helped putting the vines in the trash bag, but i did most of everything else. i'm paying for it today.
The Voice was good last night.
NXT was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Masked Singer, Alter Ego, Batwoman and the season finale of American Horror Story: Double Feature.
i did watch some of the basketball games last night.
i guess the good weather ends tonight as we have rain coming in. i could tell it was coming as i noticed all the farmers trying to get their crops harvested today.
i will be on here tomorrow sometime in the afternoon, after wrestling is over.

so, i got most of the grocery shopping done today. Thursday is quickly becoming the day to get everything that wasn't on the list. but, that's for tomorrow's blog. i got home in time to watch the Manchester United game in the Champions League today.
of course, United always has to give up the first goal. but, down 1-0, it seemed like they finally woke the fuck up. an absolute golazo from Alex Telles tied the game at 1. and then in the 95th minute, CR7 scored the winner and Old Trafford went fucking nuts. United defeated Villarreal 2-1. they desperately needed this win.
the Yankees won again last night over Toronto, 7-2. that's 7 wins in a row. their magic number to clinch a playoff spot is down to 3. if they win tonight, that number will be down to 1.
the New York Rangers defeated Boston last night, 3-2. Panarin had 3 points in the game. so, it looks like he's already ready for the season.
The Voice was good last night.
NXT was really good last night.

i should be on here tomorrow when i get all the Thursday shopping done.
i did take mom to her accountant today. she finally got the taxes done. this takes procrastination to a whole new level.
i did get some baseball cards today at Rite Aid. i paid $5 for the box and there was about $15 worth of cards in it.
that's all for me today kids.

hard to believe 20 years has gone by already. are we a better country now? in some ways, yes. did we give up too much of our personal freedom? yes. did we ever put a fucking dent in the war on terrorism? no. what pisses me off the most about this anniversary is the chance we had as a nation to truly come together and how it was pissed away by the pure fucking greed of the fucks in this country that get off on murder and war. i truly feel for everyone that lost a loved one on 9/11. no one deserves that pain. but seeing all these bullshit documentaries coming on and fudging the truth to the point where even a fucking imbecile can realize they are watching propaganda, who the fuck needs that bullshit, either? if you are going to be patriotic today, go right ahead. just don't be fucking blind.
the Yankees had their asses handed to them last night by the Mets, 10-3. i doubt it will be much different tonight.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH.
so, i never thought i would see the day of Cristiano Ronaldo playing for Manchester United again. this game today against Newcastle is going to feel surreal. but, hopefully he starts, scores a couple goals and United wins and the dream of actually watching him lift a trophy again in those colors could be one step closer to a reality.
right after that, Ohio State takes on Oregon in the home opener up in Columbus. hopefully, Ohio State will win again.
i'm sure i will watch plenty of college football today and hopefully get a few naps in as well.
my sister did have dinner with us last night. she's not that cool with being out in public during a pandemic and can't really understand why her friends are. i'm not sure she thought she was going to watch all that wrestling last night, but i'm sure it didn't kill her. she did like her birthday gifts.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

welcome to the weekend boys and girls. hard to believe August is almost over.
the Yankees blew a 6-0 lead last night, but still found a way to win, 7-6, over Oakland. that's 12 wins in a row, their longest winning streak since 1961. hopefully, they will win again tonight.
NXT UK was good last night.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. Derek X was evicted, 5-2. Tiffany is the new HOH.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, The Shop, Real Time with Bill Maher, On The Record with Bob Costas and AEW Rampage. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.
so, i went to bed last night and all the rumors were CR7 would be going to Manchester City. this morning, the narrative has flipped and now the homecoming to Manchester United looks most likely. i never saw that coming. quick update. HOLY FUCKING SHIT, CR7 is coming home...
mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. she got most of her numbers from her blood draw yesterday and they look pretty good. hopefully, good enough that they can take her off or have her take less pills each day.
it feels like anymore i'm usually falling asleep right about the time the fucking sun is coming up. not that i would know that as i have fallen into my little depression hole of staying in my room for most hours of the day anymore. but, the words keep on finding me, so i'm not about to panic or some shit like that.
i wrote 13 poems yesterday while mom was at her physical therapy appointment. those are my first poems of April. i typed them up last night and really like most of them. i might do another round of submissions in another week or so.
here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:
the New York Yankees lost to Boston last night 14-1. thank fucking god i didn't watch that game. they play again tonight.
Smackdown was really good last night. i love that Paige is the new GM. if they are planning on doing a program between AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan, please just take my money now. and i am so damn happy that Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were finally called up from NXT.
205 Live was excellent last night.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night. this looks like it is going to be another crazy season.
The Voice was basically just a recap show of the season so far last night. the live shows start next week.
The Jim Jefferies Show last night was excellent.
The Chris Gethard Show last night was fucking crazy.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
if the Yankees are getting their asses whipped again tonight, i will probably be either watching the start of the NHL playoffs or maybe some other shit on television.
or i might get a wild hair up my ass and do some writing.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i take mom to an appointment she made with a dietitian. it's supposed to be a hour long appointment. mom's back has been killing her lately, so i know there's no fucking chance she can sit there for 60 minutes and not be in dire fucking pain. so, tomorrow should be interesting.
i did see CR7 save Real Madrid today in the Champions League. what a crazy fucking game.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
listening to your mother cry herself to sleep isn't exactly how i thought i would spend my 40's. but, sure enough, i had to just let mom vent her frustration over the swelling she's having, the back pain, etc., all of which went into tears and having her ask me to leave the room. listening to her cry as i laid in my bed watching some random soccer game being broadcast in Spanish was disturbing and interesting at the same time. chalk up another night i didn't sleep well. i do think the venting helped mom though. it's one of those traits i have always tried to pass on to younger people. sometimes, you have to learn when you just have to shut the fuck up.
i knew the New York Yankees were going to lose last night when they failed to score with runners in scoring position so many times in the first few innings. the baseball gods will always punish you for that. sure enough, the Yankees lost 7-5. hopefully they will win this afternoon in Toronto.
both episodes of NJPW last night were excellent.
Vice was fascinating last night. i'm not sure how many people truly remember that there is a war still going on in Iraq.
Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious as usual.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH.
i might watch some of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight, mostly just to see the atmosphere in Nashville.
i do plan on watching the US Men's National team take on Venezuela this evening. that should be a good tune-up for the upcoming World Cup Qualifying games.
the Champions League final today between Real Madrid and Juventus should be a great one. i really don't care who wins, but i will be rooting for CR7. he's been one of my favorites since his Manchester United days.
we got a new mailbox last night. Menards was having a sale and mom had the people that take care of our yard pick one up. i figure something that normally cost $60 and after the rebate would be $20 was too good to pass up. plus, it doesn't look like any of the other mailboxes in this cul-de-sac. mom forgot to tell them to get numbers for it and the dollar store in town didn't have any. so, there i was with some stencil and a black permanent marker at 8 last night... sophisticated white trash wins again...
i've been up and going for most of this morning it feels like. mom, for some reason, wanted Arby's for breakfast. so i went and got that. i paid for that later on the toilet before i went to the grocery store. mom had a prescription to pick up, plus i needed to get gas and some other shit at the store. nothing quite like walking back where the salads are and your back just fucking locks up. i played it off well and thank fucking god my pain tolerance is not normal. if i truly couldn't function while i was in pain, i think the whole world could be fucked. ok, that might be overstating it, but...
that's all for me today kids. i have to go help mom with her exercises and taking a bath. i'm sure there will be poems.
i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. take it easy and then take it again.

thankfully, i have been watching the USA play soccer enough to know when i'm being fed bullshit. all the talk leading up to the Argentina game was how they were going to press them, go out and be positive, force Argentina to play defense, blah blah fucking blah. all i needed to see was who the coach replaced the 3 suspended starters with. when i saw it was three veterans, i knew he was blowing smoke up the ass of the fans all the time. and sure enough, 3 minutes in, it was painfully evident. and, who the fuck thought the best way to defend the best player in the world was to give him all the time and space he wanted? jesus fucking christ. as Landon Donovan said in the second half, if the USA was serious about winning this game, there should have been 11 or 12 yellow cards issued of them hacking players to the ground. and answer me this... who the fuck can win when you never get a shot on goal. all that being said, even if the USA would have played their best game, they still would have lost to Argentina. you can tell that team is hell bent on ending their 23 year drought. of course, a small part of me would love to see them lose in the final.
Copa America Update:
Argentina won last night 4-0. they will play the winner of Chile vs. Colombia in the finals on Sunday. the loser of that game plays the USA in the 3rd place game on Saturday.
Euro 2016 Update:
Turkey defeated Czech Republic yesterday 2-0. Croatia stunned Spain to win the group 2-1. i believe that now puts Spain on the side of the bracket they didn't want to be on. today, Iceland is leading Austria 1-0 at halftime. Portugal and Hungary are 1-1 at halftime. later this afternoon, Italy takes on Ireland and Sweden plays Belgium.
the New York Yankees lost last night 8-4. i'm at the point now where i hope they keep losing so they have to trade all the veterans away and start getting younger. with that being said, hopefully another loss is coming up this afternoon.
Deadliest Catch was great last night. the end of the show was amazing. i'm not sure i could stay calm on a boat on fire in the middle of the Bering Sea.
Maya & Marty was hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground, Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons and my guilty pleasure of summer, Big Brother. i'll be watching NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
Hungary just scored to go up 2-1 on Portugal. and now Portugal has just tied the game at 2-2.
i've been flipping between the soccer games and the Cleveland Cavaliers victory parade. i think nearly half of the state of Ohio is at that parade right now.
well, Hungary just scored to go back up, 3-2. this game is fucking crazy right now. if Portugal loses, they are eliminated from Euro 2016.
we've been seeing some weird fucking bugs in the house. not sure if it's the rain or the fact i sprayed around the house that's driven them inside. i think i killed them but we've got a bug guy coming out later today to check out the situation.
at some point today, i'd love to get some writing done, maybe a shower and catch up on some podcasts. of course, it's also supposed to storm like hell tonight. high winds, tornado warnings, etc. good times.
CR7 just scored for Portugal to make the game 3-3. fucking crazy. Austria scored to make their game with Iceland 1-1.
that's all for me today kids. looks like this is going to be a crazy afternoon.

to say it's windy today would be like saying shit stinks. the fucking wind is blowing hard enough today that we've had shit blow off the house. good times. and it's supposed to be like this for hours. joy.
for National Poetry Month today, i give you:
NXT Takeover:Dallas was truly fucking amazing last night. a couple of title changes and easily, the match of the year between Nakamura and Sami Zayn. that match might have been one of the best ones i have seen in years. as i said online last night, if that was Sami's last match in NXT, he couldn't have gone out a better way. hopefully everyone at WrestleMania tomorrow decides they want to be better than the NXT show. i doubt they can, but i'd love to see them try.
NJPW last night was excellent.
luckily, i had the DVR set to record ROH at noon today and it did. a really great show that was full of very good matches. i highly recommend it.
mom and i went to the grocery store this morning, before the death winds started up. thankfully, we didn't have much to get.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be the movie Trainwreck and Saturday Night Live.
i will be watching the WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies tonight, taking a long stroll back into my youth. with Sting, The Fabulous Freebirds and Stan Hansen going in this year, that makes up a good portion of the wrestling i watched as a child. it should be a pretty good ceremony.
i did watch the second half of El Clasico today. good to see CR7 up to his old tricks.
i got my order from WWE Shop today. so i'll be wearing some new wrestling shit for WrestleMania tomorrow.
the New York Rangers play tonight against Buffalo. i really hope the Rangers win so they can clinch a playoff spot and i can have a fucking drink.
i doubt i watch much of the Final Four tonight. i have North Carolina winning it all but most of my brackets turned to shit last week.
that's all for me kids. i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays Everton. hopefully i will be in a good mood.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

since my mother got home much later than she thought she was going to last night, i didn't end up going to the store. so, that turns today into one giant clusterfuck.
i might have enough food to feed the cats this morning before i go to the doctor, might not. that should be interesting. regardless, after the trip to the doctor, we have to go to the tractor supply store to get cat food and then to the grocery store to pick up medicine and our food. and since today is the only dry day for the foreseeable future, i then need to get back here and start mowing the grass. i imagine that is going to take the rest of the hours that the sun is up. i'm really hoping i get it done by then as it is supposed to start raining again tonight.
now imagine my stress if i don't have enough to feed the cats this morning and have to squeeze that in after the trip to the grocery store. oh, and i need to figure out when i'm going to eat today. good times.
the only thing i plan on watching this evening is the Yankees vs. Red Sox. if i miss most of it because it took me so long to get the grass cut, so be it. given who is pitching for the Yankees, i probably won't want to watch anyway.
i was not upset when the USA lost to Germany yesterday, 1-0. mostly because CR7 scored for Portugal to ensure that the USA would be advancing. and seeing that it was the first time ever they have advanced out of the group stage in back to back World Cups is HUGE. and, none of the soccer experts in this country had them getting out of the group of death. that was great to see them eating some crow last night. now, the real fun begins.
to recap the scores from yesterday, Germany won 1-0. Portugal beat Ghana 2-1. Belgium (with 10 men) beat South Korea 1-0. Algeria and Russia played to a 1-1 draw. a HUGE draw for Algeria. that means the USA plays Belgium and Germany plays Algeria in the next round.
that sets up the knockout round. here is the bracket...
i have Brazil beating Argentina in the finals, mostly because i don't have the guts to pick something else. i do have the USA upsetting Belgium. that's the only real upset i see happening. i almost chose the Netherlands to make it to the finals... almost. i did pretty well in the group stage, got 3 groups completely correct and at least had 1 team right in all of the groups. yes, i'm playing fantasy soccer, get over it.
the knockout games start tomorrow with Brazil vs. Chile and Colombia vs. Uruguay. those two games should be fun.
i did watch Big Brother last night. not sure what to think of the cast this season. as long as i am entertained, i really don't care. it will be interesting to see how the twists play out over the course of the season. i'm not sure many of the players are smart enough to know what is going on at all most of the time.
i also watched the NBA Draft last night. i only watched it to put a bow on the college basketball season. of course, i would have needed to watch the European leagues to know many of the players.
that's all for today. i need to get some breakfast in me and scrounge the bottom of the barrel for some cat food. i really don't want to feed these fuckers in the afternoon while i should be mowing. i've got parts of the lawn that is over 12 inches high. this will not be fun.
hope everyone has a great start to the weekend. hopefully you have some great weather and free drinks to enjoy.
be well. be creative. be a nuisance. be helpful. be a shining light of destruction and mayhem.
peace and chicken grease.

hardly a cloud in the sky, in the low 70's with hardly any humidity. for a fat ass that likes to sit and watch television with the windows open, today has been a slice of heaven.
lots to get to, so away we go.
the Yankees finally got some runs last night and were on the verge of winning until DRob makes a horrible mistake pitch to Adam Dunn. sadly, 10 seconds before this happens i mention to my mother that he needs to careful to Dunn because a mistake will cost them the game. sure enough. but, the Yankees came back today in a game where they were comatose for 8 innings, to force extra innings while down 3 runs in the 9th (and down to their final out) and win it in the 10th 4-3 on a HR from Jacoby Ellsbury. first Yankees win in the south side of Chicago since 2011. and finally, my first victory beer in days.
i did get to watch ROH this afternoon so i won't have to try to stay up tonight to see it. another great episode.
i watched the playoff final to see what team would be in the Premier League next season. a stunning goal from a 10 man QPR in the final minute to win the game 1-0. hats off to them for playing down a man for nearly 35 minutes and still finding a way to win the game.
i also watched the Champions League final today as well. hopefully everyone saw it and understands why you should never try to sit on a lead. Real Madrid scores late to force extra time and then blows it wide open in the final 15 minutes of extra time to win 4-1. i'm happy for CR7 to win another title and to win one in his home country.
not a bad day of soccer at all.
as for tonight, i'll be flipping between some playoff hockey and playoff basketball. i also need to look at this website that i was asked to submit some poems for. i saw some of the names on it so far and i definitely believe i will try to come up with something for it.
thanks to everyone for the responses to my poems on Horror Sleaze Trash. i really appreciate it.
i saw a rabbit, 2 toads, and a snake while i was mowing yesterday. good to see the zoo is still going strong out here. i also believe that my cat Whitey actually had 4 kittens and not the 3 i thought she had earlier this month. these fuckers look like they are going to be monsters as well.
it was perfect yesterday for mowing. not even 70 degrees and a light breeze. i didn't get a sunburn and haven't got sick yet (knock on wood).
that's all for me kids. i'll be on here tomorrow sometime during all the car races. and it will be before the Sunday night festivities of a Rangers MUST WIN Game 4 and the shows i love on Showtime. plus, i want to see the movie on HBO as well. as always, who needs sleep.
a few new songs in the music section below. was up to 2:30 in the morning seeing how depressed i could get on iTunes. that should give it away i suppose. hope this finds everyone well. until tomorrow my enemies...
peace and chicken grease...
