just put my last load of laundry in the dryer. i'm tired as hell, but i know sleep is not an option. i have pills to go pick up and whatever else i need to do before tonight comes along.
i am still in shock/total pissed off mode from the New York Yankees loss last night. it's not often that a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the 9th with 1 out to go turns into a 7-5 loss to the fucking Red Sox. and probably since it was that team i have hated for most of my damn life that did it, it hurts even more. i'm tempted to not even fucking watch again this season. and if they finish just a game or so out of a playoff spot, i know exactly what fucking loss i will think of. fuck me. they play again tonight.
i did get the NFL game right last night, although starting the Jets defense did me no good.
Better Things was fucking hilarious last night. i really hope people are watching this show, it's really good.
i did watch some of the USA women's team defeat of Thailand 9-0 in a soccer friendly last night. it was the last match for Heather O'Reilly.

i did write 3 poems last night while i was stewing in my anger. i typed those up this morning. i then went through my stack of unpublished work and i think i know where i'll be sending out the next 17 poems early next week.
i believe mom has another appointment with the chiropractor tomorrow morning. so, i'll probably be on here sometime before Ohio State takes on Oklahoma tomorrow night.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

maybe it was the lack of sleep, maybe it was watching American Horror Story at 2 in the morning, maybe it was simply my creative side running over... who the fuck knows. i'm good at noticing the cracks in my existence when it gets too hard to keep the anger in. eventually, i won't be good at it anymore. this is where i'm supposed to ask for forgiveness.
i'm not sure what i was more upset with today, Manchester United losing 1-0 to Feyenoord to start off the Europa League, or that the goal was clearly offside. or why it came down to that at all. United still has this arrogance that they can just show up against smaller clubs and win. i understood it with Sir Alex because they did win. it hasn't been like that since he retired. and sadly, the kids started the game today and i wouldn't be shocked if they are stuck on the bench now for weeks. it was like Rashford wanted to attack and everyone else thought the plan was to bunker in. fucking frustrating. the triple sub in the second half made some difference, but not enough to win the game. and honestly, i really fucking hope these officials don't work another game in Europe this season. god fucking awful.
the New York Yankees literally threw away yesterday's game, losing 2-0 to the Dodgers. the Yankees had as many hits as errors yesterday. hard to win doing that. they start a long ass road trip tonight in Boston.
Big Brother was pretty good last night. i laughed my ass off at Paulie getting under Da'Vonne's skin in the jury house. Corey was evicted as i thought he would be. Paul is probably in the best position to win the game now that he has won the first part of the final HOH.
Any Given Wednesday was pretty interesting last night.
You're The Worst was fucking hilarious last night.
American Horror Story was fucking great. i wasn't sure where they were going but once it got going, i was all in. should be another great season.
Lucha Underground was really good last night.
NXT was a really solid hour of wrestling, starting with the Samoa Joe sending Nakamura to the hospital. that feud should be great for the rest of the year.
the finale of the CWC was spectacular. first up was Gran Metalik vs. Zack Sabre Jr. i was figuring that since ZSJ hadn't signed with WWE, he wouldn't be winning. i was correct. it was a really good match. a little sloppy at times, but still great, fast paced action. next up was T.J. Perkins vs. Kota Ibushi. Ibushi also didn't sign with WWE, so i figured he wouldn't win either. i was right once again. the match was an instant classic. back and forth and just fucking awesome. next up was a tag team match between Ciampa and Gargano vs. Noam Dar and Cedric Alexander. just an excellent palate cleanser for the event. plenty of high spots and holy shit moments. all 4 of these guys will be part of the cruiserweights on Monday Night Raw. before the main event, HHH came out and broke out the brand new WWE Cruiserweight Championship. i have to admit, the belt did look damn good. the match between TJP and Gran Metalik was great. i really wanted TJP to win, mostly because of his amazing backstory. plus, when a guy has been in a business for 18 years and he's only 31, he has earned it. TJP won the match and is now the WWE Crisuerweight Champion. this was easily the best thing the WWE has done in years. hopefully they do it again.

i will most likely flip between the baseball game and the Jets vs. Bills game tonight. i have the Jets defense starting on one of my fantasy football teams.
i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend it. his interview with Cody Rhodes was excellent.
thankfully, i had just got the trash can back in the garage by the time it started pouring this afternoon. the classic global warming inch in 10 minutes type of rain. good times. these are the days where my arthritis and i scramble to our battle positions and wait to see who is going to fire the first shot.
the New York Yankees got 3 solo home runs last night, 2 of which came from back to back pinch hitters (first time the Yankees had done that since 1957), to defeat the Dodgers last night 3-0. they face one of the best pitchers in baseball this afternoon, Clayton Kershaw. it will be a tall task for the Yankees to win this series.
Big Brother went as i expected it to go last night. Victor got evicted for the 3rd and final time. Paul is the new HOH. i fully expect Corey to get the boot tonight.
WWE Smackdown was really good last night. sadly, John Cena is back but i was so happy to watch Dean Ambrose beat the shit out of him to end the show. i'm really enjoying Smackdown so much more than Monday Night Raw these days.
Atlanta was fucking hilarious last night. easily, one of the better shows on television right now.

i just found out some good news. the Dayton Flyers got a commitment from their point guard of the future just a little bit ago. from what i've seen, this is a guy that is going to become a star.
welcome to Dayton, McKinley Wright.
the New York Yankees could only manage 2 solo home runs last night against the Dodgers. that's not going to cut it. the Yankees lost 8-2. hopefully they will do better tonight.
i got my ass whipped in both of my fantasy football matches. the shitty thing was i scored over 100 points in both leagues and lost by 23 and 61. fuck me.
Monday Night Raw was sort of blah until the main event. Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens was great. they have obvious chemistry with each other. thankfully, KO won and will now have a singles match against Seth Rollins at the next ppv.

at least mom was walking better coming out of the chiropractor's office than she was going in. the wheels are finally in motion to get a MRI sometime next week.
i went to the grocery store after i had lunch. i'm amused by the number of people that see me shopping and quickly either turn their carts around or quickly get out of the way. i really didn't think i had my pissed off face on today.
the trash is all picked up and already down at the curb. so the plan for the rest of the night is a nice long message in my recliner. my back is killing me today.

i took a long, hot shower this afternoon. i had to get the stench of the weekend off of me. hopefully it worked.
the New York Yankees saw their winning streak come to an end yesterday, losing 4-2 to Tampa Bay. they fell back 1 game each in the division and wild card race. they start a series against the Dodgers tonight to finish out the homestand. MUST win games for both teams, so it should be interesting.
the New Orleans Saints pissed away a lead and a tremendous game from Drew Brees yesterday to lose to Oakland, 35-34. so much for the defense being improved.
those two losses sort of left me in a funk for the rest of the day. my fantasy teams didn't do much better. i have no hope of winning my CBS Sports league game. i have 2 players going tonight, but i'm down 40 points and my opponent has the Steelers best WR going tonight. i'll chalk that up as a loss. my NFL.com league game is a little better. i'm trailing by a little over 3 points, mostly thanks to Drew Brees. i have a WR from the Rams going tonight and my opponent has a RB from the 49ers going tonight. hopefully i can squeeze out a victory.
thankfully, the Sunday night shows were excellent last night.
Lip Sync Battle was hilarious.
Big Brother was pretty funny. why are people shocked when they get fucked over on this show?
Ray Donovan was pretty good last night. the season finale should be interesting. Masters of Sex was good last night. hopefully this season will be better than the last one. Vice Principals was fucking hilarious last night. it sort of reminded me what happens when i drink too much tequila. Ballers was funny, mostly because of all the football players on the show. and finally, The Strain was fucking fantastic last night.
WWE Backlash was really good last night. i loved all the new champions. the pace and storytelling of the show was excellent and it got done at a decent time that i could still have some energy to watch all the other shows on the night. excellent work.

nothing on the DVR tonight, i'll be flipping back and forth between Monday Night Raw and the two NFL games tonight.
mom didn't call the doctor's office today like i wanted her to. she wants to wait for the chiropractor to tell her how bad it really is. so i guess she needs a second opinion on her own pain.
i'll probably have to go to the grocery store tomorrow, probably after i take mom to the chiropractor. i'm sure the people watching my credit cards are wondering what the fuck is going on. going from barely being used each month to now being used multiple times each week, i can see why they might think they have been stolen.
i hope everyone had a better weekend than me. i'm not setting the bar that high anymore.

it's hard to believe it's been 15 years since 9/11 happened. it fucking feels like it's been 30. what should have been a moment in the history of this country to bring us together was pissed away and manipulated to where we are more divided than ever 15 years later. there is no point in applying blame. ALL of us are at fault.
the New York Yankees kept the train rolling yesterday, winning 5-1. they are now just 3 games out of first place in the division. i never thought any of this was going to happen when they were "sellers" at the trade deadline. they have done the unthinkable, actually make me give a shit about baseball this season. they go for another sweep this afternoon.
Ohio State started off slow against Tulsa and i figured they were looking ahead to Oklahoma next week. and then the rain started and suddenly the defense was brilliant. the offense did better in the second half, but it was really the defense that carried the entire team yesterday. a nice 48-3 ass whooping.
i did watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens last night. i can see why so many people liked it. it certainly made me feel like a kid again.
i followed UFC 203 on the computer last night. i was under no delusions that CM Punk was going to win last night. i was hoping he would last longer than 2 minutes, but, shit happens. props to him for being bold enough to follow a dream when EVERYONE told him he was a fucking fool for doing so.

so as i was watching the third rain delay of the Yankees game last night, i was mumbling about the umpires truly fucked this one up. fast forward a few hours and as an obvious penalty doesn't get called in favor of Manchester United, the bad mojo becomes obvious. so now i'm in my room trying to play music to drown out the noise from the children and my sister's friends. i don't like people when i'm normal, why the fuck on earth would people expect me to like them when i'm pissed?
the New York Yankees did win last night, 7-5. that's 6 in a row and 10 games over .500 finally. they are now 1 game out of a playoff spot. hopefully they keep the ball rolling this afternoon.
Treehouse Masters was pretty cool last night. it was a montage of different treehouses from around the world.
NJPW was excellent last night.
the USA beat Canada last night, 4-2, in a World Cup of Hockey exhibition game. the game was chippy and physical as hell. that's exactly how the USA has to play if they want to get a medal in this competition. plus, anytime you fucking beat Canada, it's a great day.
so i woke up pretty damn early this morning to watch Manchester United play. i wish the players would have done the same. United was badly outplayed by Shitty in the first half. the only reason the score was 2-1 was Shitty's goalie making a mistake that ended up in the back of the net. United made a couple changes at halftime and really played much better in the second half. but, no luck in scoring. talk about starting my weekend with a shitty taste in my mouth.

i was hoping my sister would have had a better reaction to the coffee i got her. she mostly looked like she couldn't care less. i probably won't bother to ask if she makes it or not. i guess she'll enjoy the liquor though. i got her that as the gift from mom.
Ohio State plays Tulsa this afternoon. hopefully the damn kids are gone by then and Ohio State wins again.
i figure i will watch the college football game tonight played at the NASCAR track in Bristol, Tennessee. that should be pretty amazing.
i took mom to the chiropractor this morning. she can barely walk. i told her that she needs to call her doctor on Monday and get the fucking MRI done as quickly as possible. the two times she has gotten worse was both times after the prednisone ran out. so i'm guessing it's going to either be injections or surgery or both after the MRI. good times.
so most of this weekend i think i will be helping her.

so i heard from one of my closest friends today for the first time since April. i knew that it wasn't going to be good, given how long it had been. sure enough, all the progress that was made is now gone. back to madness and turmoil. she said she would send me her remains in a wooden urn. so, i guess i have that to look forward to.
i get the feeling that i'll be writing some poems tonight.
the New York Yankees got a walk off home run from Tyler Austin to win 5-4 last night. that's 5 wins in a row and now 9 games over .500, all highs for the season. they are only 2 games out of a playoff spot now. hopefully this crazy and unbelievable run keeps going tonight.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. Natalie was evicted and Corey is the new HOH. it will be very interesting to see who goes this week.
Better Things was fucking hilarious last night. i had to record it twice because of the fucking storms that rumbled through here last night. it was worth it. i highly recommend this show on FX.
Fuck, That's Delicious was great last night. i know i'll never get to Perth, Australia, so it was very interesting to watch.
the NFL game last night was basically a tale of two halves. Carolina dominated the first half and then ran out of gas. Denver won 21-20.
the TNA Impact match last night between The Hardys and Decay was a waste of fucking time. it was nowhere near as good as The Final Deletion.

mom wanted to go out today but she thinks she twisted something in her back, which isn't good. i've told her to take her pain pills with a shot of whiskey, as that would give it that extra kick she probably needs. she always says after that that i'm trying to kill her. i explain no, i need you to die of natural causes so i don't get fucked out of the will.
tomorrow is going to be a clusterfuck to say the least. the day will start off with the Manchester derby between Manchester United and Manchester Shitty. that will be on early in the morning. after that, i have to take mom to the chiropractor and then my sister should be coming down sometime around noon. i'll be on here after all that and hopefully before the Ohio State game against Tulsa.

so i finally got my ankle to crack last night (think of like cracking a knuckle on your hand), only to have the pressure build right back up. not fun. it was supposed to rain today. so far, nothing. great.
the New York Yankees did something they haven't done all season last night, actually sweep a 3 game series. a 2-0 victory over the Blue Jays was exactly what they needed. they are now just 2.5 out of the wild card and amazingly, just 4 out of the division. they start a 4 game series with Tampa tonight at home. they need to keep winning.
NXT was pretty good last night. i'll never get tired of watching Nakamura wrestle. and oh, what my mind imagines when Ember Moon wrestles.
the CWC last night was excellent. the final 4 is now set for the live finale next week. Gran Metalik vs. Zack Sabre Jr. and TJ Perkins vs. Kota Ibushi. should be amazing.
Lucha Underground was great last night. i love how the show mixes in the vignettes with the wrestling. season 3 should be as good as the first 2 seasons were.
the season finale of Tyrant last night had a little bit of everything. i knew the son was going to get shot, but i didn't expect the cliffhanger. and, i suppose, there has to be a season 4 given that the war never actually started in the finale. but, i also expected another season of The Bridge and that never happened, so i don't know.
Big Brother was pretty funny last night. i was stunned that Corey won the POV so quickly. my best guess is that Natalie gets evicted tonight, much to the heartbreak of the producers and most of America.
Any Given Wednesday last night was basically the primer for the NFL season starting tonight.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Better Things and Impact Wrestling. i guess they are doing another crazy Hardy Boys match, so i'm only recording it for that.
the NFL season does start tonight with Denver hosting Carolina, a rematch of the last Super Bowl. i don't have any players from those teams on my fantasy teams, so i probably won't watch much of the game.
i did write 4 poems today to go with the 1 i wrote yesterday. i typed all 5 up this afternoon and really liked them. i should be doing another round of submissions in about a week or so.
you ever have one of those days where it feels like you're shitting out blood all day long? where the faces at the grocery store all look like aliens? except for the little girl that waved at you, she obviously hasn't learned yet. maybe it was the heat, maybe it was the pressure building up in my left ankle, maybe it's this dumpster fire election season that's finally getting to me. who knows.
first off, a little poetry news. i did write 1 poem today. i haven't typed it up yet, mostly hoping i write some more tonight. i also heard back on my poetry submission to Easy Street. they decided to pass on the 5 poems i sent. good times.
the New York Yankees won their biggest game of the season last night, 7-6. they were facing one of the best pitchers in baseball and found a fucking way. a couple huge home runs and then the bullpen tried their hardest to fuck it all up, but thankfully, they didn't. a crazy fucking game. they go for the sweep tonight.
Smackdown was good last night. i'm a little shocked that they are doing the injury angle with American Alpha, but that should go into a great feud with the Uso's down the line. i am looking forward to the Smackdown ppv this Sunday.
Atlanta was excellent last night. as i heard one reviewer say, it's not often you find a "black" show with nuance. the first two episodes were great. i highly recommend everyone to check out this show on FX.
Hard Knocks was good last night. the cut down episode is always a rough one. i was a little surprised at a few of the cuts the Rams made.
the USA men's team was excellent last night in a 4-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago. they won the group and will now face Mexico in November in the cold of Columbus, Ohio.

here is part of the reason i insist on making all my bank transactions in person, instead of online. the joy of driving up to the bank right as a drug deal goes down is always interesting. standing in line behind the guy who just bought the drugs is a poem in itself. watching him struggle to come up with small talk because, as a white guy, i always run to the cops when i see shit... that was hilarious. i simply played like i saw nothing mostly because, i don't give a shit. i'm not one of those people that think i should be doing the cops job for them. they are employed for a reason. also, growing up in a black community, you learn pretty quick that there are some cops you can talk to and be cool with and some are dirty as fuck and will fuck over anyone, no matter their race, to get ahead. none of this shit could be learned or enjoyed with an online transaction. so, sure it was hot as fuck and the car has shitty air conditioning, but it was worth it.
the New York Yankees won yesterday, 5-3. they tried their hardest to give it away, but thankfully the bullpen came through. they play against Toronto again tonight at home.
Monday Night Raw was not good last night. i did enjoy that Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens are going to be feuding, but other than that, the show was shit.
the finale of the UFC documentary on CM Punk last night was pretty interesting. it's funny to think that his first fight in the UFC will be in the same arena where he quit the WWE. that should be very interesting.
the game last night between Florida State and Ole Miss was like two different games. Ole Miss was great in the first half. but, Florida State came out in the second half on fire and simply blew them the fuck away. Florida State won 45-34.

so, welcome to my Labor Day. hopefully yours has started better.
the New York Yankees got a huge victory yesterday, 5-2, avoiding a sweep in Baltimore. they are back home this afternoon playing against Toronto. they really need to start stringing together victories if they want to stay in contention for the playoffs. sadly, every team they play (except for Tampa) are playing for the playoffs as well for the rest of the season.
that game between Notre Dame and Texas last night was an instant classic. Texas won in 50-47 in 2OT.

one of the reasons i love college football is beauty of the unknown. massive upsets can happen at any time, especially when the game is being played by basically children. that's part of the reason i would never be a coach in college. i'm not putting my life in the hands of 18 to 22 year olds. no fucking way in hell.
there was some pretty big upsets yesterday. two teams in the top 5 lost to start the season for the first time since 1972. it should be a crazy ride for the rest of the season. although, i'll be stunned if the final game doesn't involve Alabama. they looked impressive to say the least last night.
ROH was really good last night. i can't wait to see next week's episode.
the New York Yankees got 4 hits last night and lost yet again, 2-0. that makes today's game more or less, do or die. when you have that many teams to jump over to make the playoffs, you can't get swept. and given whom the Yankees have pitching today, i don't like their chances in Baltimore.

i hope your Saturday was good. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

music:
The Radio Dept. - A Taste Of Passive Aggressive
Jamey Johnson - In Color
Bruce Springsteen - Dead Man Walkin'
Jane's Addiction - Jane Says (Live)
"Sometimes thinking too much can destroy your momentum." - Tom Watson
and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i had to take mom to the chiropractor and then to the store to get her prescriptions, so i missed the start of the Ohio State game today. it's funny to think that Bowling Green was up 7-0 at one point when you see that Ohio State won 77-10. talk about a holy shit ass beating. Ohio State set the record for most yards in a game by any Ohio State team. the offense looked scary and talented. the defense looked talented and fast. the only thing that could possibly hold back this team will be their youth and health. should be another crazy ride this season.
the New York Yankees had their asses handed to them last night, losing 8-0. of course, it's hard to win when you only get two fucking hits. they play again tonight in Baltimore.
team USA whipped St. Vincent and the Grenadines yesterday 6-0. i was happy how they came out and took care of business. it was nice to see Christian Pulisic put on a show in the second half. i think he's the most talented teenager i have ever seen play for the USA. they next play Trinidad & Tobago on Tuesday.
Treehouse Masters was pretty good last night. i would hate to see what the guy had to get his wife for the 41st anniversary when a treehouse was the gift for the 40th.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH. i figure i will be watching a ton of college football tonight as there are some really good games. i figure most of the time i'll be watching USC vs. Alabama.
my second fantasy football team got drafted this morning. i got the second highest draft grade in the league. so, that's a good start. i'm pretty much ready for the NFL season now.
a reminder for life:
sadly, the humidity is starting to creep back in this weekend. i was hoping it was going to be fall soon. it's going to be back in the fucking 90's in a couple of days. good thing global warming is a myth, right?
i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday night. call if you need bail money. i'm off to start drinking.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
