waxing nostalgic...

i saw a story in the newspaper the other day about a Kickstarter campaign for a documentary about one of my favorite local bands when i was growing up, Brainiac. so, i looked up the campaign today and decided, fuck it, and i pledged some money towards it. so, i now have a Kickstarter account. if you'd like to help the Brainiac kickstater, go here:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1955677038/brainiac-documentary

that got me to thinking of all the local bands i used to listen to back in the mid to late 90's. so, in the music section you'll see all that represented.

i had to make a run to the grocery store today to get all kinds of products and pills for my mother. her procrastination is striking once again.

the New York Yankees game tonight up in Boston has been postponed. it will be made up as a doubleheader in July.

Monday Night Raw last night was more or less horrible. i can't believe that was the show they put on right before a pay per view this Sunday.

i was so happy that Gotham was back last night. i absolutely love that show.

The Voice was pretty interesting last night. most of the first hour did nothing for me. the second hour was really good. i have no damn clue who will be leaving tonight. i figure it will be someone from team Adam. as usual, he managed to fuck over his team like he does every season. horrible song choices.
if any of these people leave, i will be pissed.

Scoochie Smith, the graduating point guard from the Dayton Flyers, has started a gofundme page to try to start an online clothing store. i figured i would be a good fan and pass on the link:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Great News, Deadliest Catch and Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live on WWE Network sometime tonight.

so while waxing nostalgic today, i'm always amazed at just how much shit i still remember. it's funny, as that was always my reasoning behind not taking photos as a child when we went on vacation. i took it as a challenge to remember everything. little did i know i actually would. being sexually molested, being threatened with my life by strangers and my father, getting my lip busted by a wiffle ball, getting shot at while running through a field, dead animals, crushes that ended horribly, getting punished on my youth soccer team for my cousin sleeping with the coaches' oldest son... the good parts of my childhood were an ET birthday cake, getting to meet famous baseball players, the first day i ever heard Metallica, selling off my father's baseball cards without him knowing, the first time i ever got high, my first sip of alcohol at age 6, going undefeated in junior high basketball, and still remembering the first time i kissed a girl's lips and felt magic.

is there any fucking wondering why i am a poet?

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade last night. click on the artist's name to get the music:
Sheila E.
Justin Townes Earle

the trash is all picked up and i got the hummingbird feeders out today as well.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know i will probably have to do some more running around for mom. i think she'll have more pills ready to be picked up tomorrow. i feel like i live at that damn pharmacy now.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...
