goodbye 2016

my sister and i had a little bonding experience this morning. we decided to be good children and change the windshield wipers on mom's vehicle. well, the rear one was the wrong one, so not a good start. and then we had to go on YouTube to figure out how to get the damn wipers in the front off. thankfully, i knew where the rubber mallet was. a little elbow grease later and the new wipers were on. after that, i had her help me change a light bulb and put up these lights outside of my room (they are hockey pucks). i'm a little uneasy on ladders anymore, especially when my arthritis is fucking with me. all in all, a pretty good morning where we didn't kill each other. always a good sign.

the Dayton Flyers won last night but of course suffered another injury. they were already playing the game against La Salle without one of their guards, Darrell Davis. late in the second half last night, Charles Cooke got undercut and fell awkwardly on the floor. he was diagnosed with a bruised lower back, which i know fucking sucks. i doubt he'll be ready to go on Tuesday when they play at St. Bonaventure. but, the Flyers did win last night 66-55. they held La Salle nearly 30 points under their scoring average. it's always good to start off conference play with a win.

i didn't watch much of the first 75 minutes of the Manchester United game this morning as i was doing that stuff with my sister. mom explained to me the goal that got disallowed. when i saw the highlight i was furious. when she told me that Middlesbrough had scored, i was even more furious. but, thankfully on the birthday of Sir Alex Ferguson, the boys decided to have a blast from the past. trailing 1-0 after 85 minutes, Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba scored within minutes of each other for a dramatic 2-1 come from behind victory. oh, just like the old days. United plays again on Monday at West Ham.

well, at least i know i will be having one drink tonight.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Austin City Limits and ROH.

i have to go to the grocery store to get some things mom wants, so i'm gearing myself up for a nice shit show.

team USA plays Canada today in the final group game in the World Juniors. since they are playing in Toronto, i would absolutely love to see the USA pull off the upset.

the New York Rangers play tonight out in Colorado. hopefully they will ring in the new year with a victory.

Ohio State plays Clemson tonight in the Fiesta Bowl. if they win, they will advance to the national championship game. it's scary to think that Ohio State made it into the final four on a rebuilding year.

i don't really have any lavish plans to ring in the new year tonight. i will probably be drinking and most likely writing, like i have done for the last few years.

i did get a copy of the book Maiden by Karina Bush in the mail yesterday. look for that review in the first few days of 2017. before that, if you can find a copy anywhere, buy it. you will not be disappointed.

i will probably remember 2016 for all of the deaths that struck me so closely, especially in the world of music. i'll also remember it as the first time i ever got to see the New York Yankees play in person. and finally as a year that my writing took a giant leap forward in its consistency. i absolutely hope 2017 is better for everyone on this planet. the pessimist in me just chuckled.

if you're going out and about tonight, be safe. for my international readers, happy new year already. for everyone, call if you need bail money.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

revenge in the great white north

if there is one thing i truly hate in sports is when the USA loses to Russia. in basically anything. and i have been frustrated beyond belief at the World Juniors the last 7 years. thankfully, yesterday was the day the USA decided to give Russia a taste of their own medicine. the USA won 3-2 over Russia yesterday to set up a HUGE game against Canada on New Year's Eve. the winner of that game wins the group and the loser gets no worse than 2nd place. that was one of the better victory beers in a long time.

the New York Rangers exploded last night with 4 power play goals (3 of which came from Matt Puempel) and defeated Arizona 6-3. you would have never known the game was tied at 3 with 5 minutes left. that was the first time a Rangers player had 3 power play goals in a game since 1994. maybe that's an omen. the Rangers next play on New Year's Eve in Colorado.

The Pizza Show last night on Viceland was pretty good. i do love me some good Chicago pizza.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be absolutely nothing.

my sister and i are going to the Dayton Flyers basketball game this evening. it starts early since it is on national television (CBS Sports Network). it's the start of the A10 schedule against a very tough La Salle team. hopefully Dayton can get a win.

tomorrow will be a little crazy, and not just because it is New Year's Eve. Manchester United plays in the morning. the USA vs. Canada game in the WJC is in the afternoon. and then Ohio State plays Clemson that evening. i'm not exactly sure when the fuck i'll be on here, but i'm hoping for after the Manchester United game. i will have plenty to get off my chest as it will be the last blog of this god fucking awful year of 2016.

i hope this finds everyone well, fully stocked on booze and ready to fucking blow off some steam.

i suppose there was a wild hair up somewhere...

so i was a little busy this morning doing some YouTube videos...
as you might imagine, suicide has been on my mind here lately. so i thought this was a good poem to do.

this poem was a favorite of so many people this year, i just had to make a video of it. hope you enjoy it.

Lucha Underground was great last night. i certainly miss the old crimson mask i used to see all the time in my youth.

NXT was really good last night. the tag team title match between #DIY vs. Tajiri & Tozawa was off the charts great.

team USA defeated Slovakia 5-2 last night in the World Juniors. they will have their first real test of the tournament this afternoon against Russia.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Pizza Show on Viceland.

the New York Rangers play tonight out in Arizona. hopefully they can get another winning streak going.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. what a crazy year 2016 has been in pro wrestling. you can find the podcast by going here:

i will be on here early tomorrow as my sister will be coming down to go to the basketball game tomorrow evening. it's the start of the Dayton Flyers A10 schedule. more on that tomorrow.

i have to go vacuum the house and try to get that done before the USA game in the World Juniors starts.

soon, this fucking year will be over.

a little more winter on the way

i had a pretty busy day today. i wanted to get some shit done before the next round of winter rolls in. the trip to the bank was uneventful, even though i laugh when i get all the odd looks of being a white guy in a black bank. that never gets old. i wanted to make sure i filled up the vehicle, just in case. plus, i wanted to use the points we had to get money off the gas before they expired. the grocery store was busy, but i expected that. the elderly tend to panic when weather is coming. i found everything we needed plus some extra alcohol for the new year. i got back home about 2 hours after i left. the one thing i like is to be as efficient as i can. especially as i get older, i'm not a big fan of wasting time. of course, i don't exactly have someone to waste time with, so...

Smackdown was excellent last night. all 3 championship matches were memorable. i was surprised they had American Alpha win the tag team titles. i thought they would wait for a bigger event for them to beat The Wyatt Family. Alexa Bliss is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. and i loved how they booked the match between AJ Styles, Dolph Zigger and Baron Corbin. the only part i didn't like was that John Cena was back. hopefully AJ beats his ass again.

205 Live was great last night. Jack Gallagher is pure gold. and i could watch Neville and Rich Swann wrestle all night long and never get bored.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

team USA takes on Slovakia tonight in the World Juniors tournament. hopefully they take care of business tonight and aren't looking ahead to their game against Russia tomorrow.

i wasn't very happy when the New York Rangers were down 2-0 less than 3 minutes into the game last night against Ottawa. thankfully, the boys showed a little resolve and got a little puck luck as well. the Rangers came back to win 4-3. that was a very tasty victory beer after that one.

i think i know the poem i want to do an end of the year YouTube video for. now, will my lazy ass actually get it done before the new year? that's a good question.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton and Sam Roberts podcast this morning. you can find that by going here: https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-006-donald-sutherland-childhood-mischief

catharsis, sort of...

first, let me say that Every Brilliant Thing was amazing last night. i didn't know what it was about going into it, but i quickly knew it was about suicide once it started. i made the mistake of drinking while this was on. alcohol being a depressant already, oh boy, what a fucking ride. i absolutely love anything that can make me laugh and cry at the same time. for that alone, i highly urge you to check this out on HBO. now, while watching, i started to think about that i've had suicide in my head for 32 of the 40 years of my life. and part of me believes that's simply a byproduct of being inquisitive and a loner. another part of me thinks of how tragic that truly is. and when the guy talked about his mother's suicide last night, i started to think of the number of times i've been at that point. and why i haven't taken the next step? and then it was my mind racing to every time i think i take a step forward with my life, i'm suddenly dragged two steps back every fucking time. and part of me wonders how long i'll be able to keep this dance up before i've decided it's time. so, what usually happens is i end up in a really dark place mentally. last night was one of those times. now, sometimes amazing art comes from that dark place. sometimes i wake up in a pile of my own shit. and sometimes i wake up on the couch and the knives are under a bush outside (god i miss my 20's and tequila shots). last night, i ended up writing 3 poems in that dark place. i typed them up this morning and i really, really like them. i haven't decided where they will go, but i will certainly send them out sometime in 2017.

after i wrote those poems i actually got some sleep. damn near 6 hours, which is a fucking eternity for me.

team USA won in the World Juniors yesterday 6-1 over Latvia. thankfully, they got better as the game went on. they will next play Slovakia, which will be a tougher test.

i thought Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night, especially since it was the last show of 2016. i love that Braun Strowman is getting a push. he should absolutely be the next huge bad ass. plus, i'll never get tired of Jericho and Kevin Owens.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i will forever remember Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. but, i'll remember her more for her books. she was a brilliant writer. rest in peace, you absolutely deserve it.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Ottawa. The King is out with the flu, so it's the backup goalie once again. hopefully the time off did the team some good and they can get back to winning.

a little advice for everyone out there. actually listen when in a conversation instead of simply waiting for your turn to talk. the world already has too many assholes in it. trust me, i'm one of them.

i have trash to do and my laundry to finish. my neck has been killing me all fucking day. and the weather can't make up its fucking mind what time of year it is.

good times.

2016 strikes again

i'm not going to sit here and write that i was the biggest George Michael fan. but i certainly would be a fucking liar if i said his music didn't influence me. growing up in the 80's and 90's, his music certainly shaped my mind on many things. god knows, puberty was one of those times when beautiful models in a George Michael video would certainly come in handy, pun intended. my sister and i were watching the news last night when it came across that he had died at 53. i immediately thought about all the talented fuckers who have died this year. this is as bad as i ever remember it. i made my sister watch the movie Keanu last night just because George Michael's music played such a big role in it. another figure of my childhood gone forever. before too long, they all will be. rest in peace George, you certainly deserve it.

the basketball game yesterday between Cleveland and Golden State was an instant classic. and i picked both football games right yesterday, so i'm pretty happy about that.

my sister left earlier today, hoping to beat the rain that's coming. she managed to not forget anything this time.

all in all, i think it was a pretty good Christmas. we certainly got a good portion of the garage cleaned out, so that's a plus.

i did catch some of the second leg between Tigres and Club America last night. talk about a game that had everything; red cards, a brawl, late goals, penalty kicks... you name it, it happened. congrats to Tigres on the win.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Every Brilliant Thing. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

Boxing Day is always a big day in the Premier League. Manchester United took on Sunderland today. it was the first time David Moyes had been back at Old Trafford since he got fired. United got goals from Daley Blind, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a holy shit goal (albeit offisde but not called) from Henrikh Mkhitaryan to win 3-1. they are finally on the kind of roll that makes you think a top 4 finish  is still possible.

team USA plays today in the World Juniors. this is one of my favorite hockey tournaments every year. hopefully they can get a win today over Latvia. they need these points as they are in the same group with Russia and Canada.

that's all for me today kids. if you're out shopping or returning gifts, have fun and some patience.

Merry Christmas

i didn't sleep well last night. i'm not sure if i was anxious to see if i got any gifts at all or the rain overnight was fucking with my arthritis to the point where i was in too much pain to sleep. whatever it was, it lasted the whole damn night.

i was happy when i opened up my email this morning and saw an email to get Run The Jewels new album for FREE. yes, please.

the New Orleans Saints won yesterday 31-24. that was a great present.

my sister and i watched The Night Before last night. that movie still makes me laugh.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll probably flip back and forth between basketball and football tonight.

i got some really good Christmas presents this year. new clothes that i needed, some Batman stuff that i can always use, my sister got me some cool fucking artwork from when she was out in Seattle, and cash and gift cards are always helpful.

i didn't notice, but the genius that sent the Jimmy Cliff cd i bought my sister sent two, so i got the other copy. my sister did like what i got her, although the one wine book i got she already had. so, now she has 2 of them.

my mother really liked what i got her this year, which really makes me happy. thankfully, i got everything this year for only $7. thank got for Amazon.com gift cards.

when i saw the news this morning of the Russian plane crash, the first thing i thought was karma. although i don't wish human tragedy on anyone, shit happens.

tomorrow is a bit of a clusterfuck. my sister leaves to go back home. Manchester United plays. the World Juniors tournament starts as the USA plays Latvia. so, at some point tomorrow, i'll find the time to get on here. i have no clue when the fuck that will be.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. if all else fails, buy yourself something and drink it in a pretty glass.

my latest Soundcloud recording...

a little gift to my fans... here is the link to my latest Soundcloud recording, "some like to wait for death"...

https://soundcloud.com/j-j-campbell/some-like-to-wait-for-death

"some like to wait for death" was previously published in Tuck Magazine.

the eve of something

so i woke up this morning with a splitting headache and a nuclear arms race starting back up. oh goody.

the Dayton Flyers did a decent job last night keeping my mind off of the pain i was in. they had 7 players score in double figures last night as they easily crushed VMI 92-56. Scoochie Smith got his 1,000th point last night and the team tied the school record with 15 3 pointers. they did all this with their best player, Charles Cooke, sitting out with a wrist injury. hopefully that will be better by the time the A-10 schedule starts on December 30th against La Salle.

i got home to find out the New York Rangers got beat by Minnesota 7-4. that's two straight games the Rangers have given up 7 goals. not fucking good. maybe the Christmas break is coming at the right time.

of course, it's a bizarre world when the Columbus Blue Jackets have the most points in the NHL at the Christmas break.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows. i can't wait for it to come back in 2017.

the New Orleans Saints play today at home against Tampa Bay. there is a small sliver of a chance for the Saints to make the playoffs. hopefully that chance still exists when they play today. i would love to see them win and basically screw up any chance for Tampa to make the playoffs.

i'm not sure what i'm doing this evening. usually my sister and i watch a movie on Christmas Eve. i think our new tradition is going to be the movie The Night Before. either that, or i might try the Westworld finale.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve. if you're shopping, good luck. if you're traveling, stay safe. if you're drinking, welcome aboard.

i hate my family just enough that i will probably be on here at some point tomorrow. as for now, i have a garage to rearrange. hopefully i will get that done before the Saints play.

well, my eyes are still bad, but not worse

the spot on my eye that freaked me the fuck out last year hasn't grown, so that's good. and diabetes hasn't done anything bad to my eyes, yet. i ordered new glasses and sunglasses anyways, seeing that i'm the chauffeur now. plus, i have to get my driver's license renewed by my upcoming birthday.

the guys doing the insulation today got done much quicker than i thought. you couldn't even really tell where they went through the mortar on the outside of the house. hopefully that does the trick. now we can put everything back on the walls. good times.

i watched a good portion of the first leg of Club America vs. Tigres last night. a 1-1 draw certainly sets up a very interesting second leg in the Mexican Liga MX final. that will be on Christmas night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight.

the Dayton Flyers play VMI this evening. if the walk-ons don't play by the end of the game, i'm going to be very disappointed.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Minnesota. it would be nice to go into the Christmas break with a victory.

i got that new Nine Inch Nails EP this morning. it's brilliant as usual.

i slept like fucking shit last night. i'm not sure if it was because of the morning appointment or was it not drinking myself to sleep that caused it. i suppose a couple victories tonight could be my test.

it's hard to believe it's going to be Christmas Eve tomorrow. it's certainly not going to be a white Christmas here. it's going to be rainy and close to 50 degrees i believe.

i hope everyone stays safe if you're traveling and drink the good shit, it's that time of year.

a mountain out of a molehill

i love my sister and will always love her, but she is out of touch with reality so much at times that it is comical. we were at the Dayton Flyers game last night and in one of the timeouts, a guy came out with one of those t-shirt guns to shoot shirts out to the crowd. well, the genius obviously didn't know what he was doing and had the thing aimed too high as the shirts were hitting the roof and falling down. one of those shirts just happened to hit my sister in the head. now, if you listen to her tell the story, she says it was a direct shot. it wasn't, but i've learned over the years there is no point in telling her differently because all you are going to do is start an argument. so, at halftime she went to the first aid station and they wrote up a complaint. she texted my mother and basically said that since she's unemployed now, she should file a lawsuit. i laughed. i go to these things for the games, nothing else.

the Dayton Flyers got off to a good start last night, but that quickly fizzled. thankfully, this time they were only trailing at halftime by 2. they started the second half out on fire and cruised the rest of the way for a 68-63 win over Vanderbilt. they play VMI tomorrow and will hopefully blow them the fuck out.

we went to McDonald's after the game and my sister got 2 fish sandwiches. when we got home, she started bitching because one of the sandwiches was in 2 boxes and another looked like it had a bite taken out of the bun. it was only where they tried to tear the buns apart. i often forget my sister lives in utopia and is going out of her way slumming it down here with us.

Lip Sync Battle was pretty funny last night.

i thought Lucha Underground was very good last night. i love when a great heel tactic wins a cage match. that's great storytelling.

Total Divas was fucking hilarious last night. i can't believe that the Bella twins actually agreed to get IQ tests.

NXT was really good last night as well. i love that Bobby Roode is now the #1 contender. i can just imagine the match between him and Nakamura.

tomorrow is going to be a grand clusterfuck for me. they are coming in the morning to do the insulation for the house. i have an eye appointment in the morning. i suppose i will be doing the blog when i get back home as there is also a basketball game tomorrow night. i suppose sometime between all that i will shit, shower and eat.

a thank you to everyone that has sent me a Christmas card. i really do appreciate it.

it's just blood

i suppose if i was thinking, i wouldn't have started moving shit in the garage while wearing shorts. i cut myself while moving a filing cabinet. just a little cut on my leg. thankfully, the cold helped it clot pretty quickly. but, i got everything done in the garage, so the insulation should go smoothly on Friday.

the New York Rangers got obliterated last night by Pittsburgh 7-2. as soon as i saw the coach was starting the backup goalie again, i didn't watch past the first Penguins goal. i think the injuries have finally caught up to the Rangers when playing good teams. the boys take on Minnesota on Friday.

to cement a shitty night, i heard back from Rose Red Review on my poetry submission from October. apparently the poems were good but just didn't fit the direction of the issue. it's sort of like getting your pants down, teasing yourself and then deciding to go to sleep instead.

the season finale of Scream Queens was excellent.

the Tony Bennett special last night was much better than i thought it was going to be.

205 Live was excellent last night. Neville makes the show must watch.

Smackdown was off the charts great last night. i loved Renee Young slapping The Miz. making the world title match a triple threat next week is great, especially with Baron Corbin involved. add in some Becky Lynch trickery and all in all, it was a great show.

might as well get it all done at once

i decided since i was going to the grocery store today, i might as well go to the bank as well. and then i figured, i had to do the trash, i might as well start moving the shit in the garage i have to move since i'm going to be cold anyway.

i spent almost $300 at the grocery store. when mom handed me the scroll, i knew i wasn't going to have anytime to hit the liquor store up. now, most of the money was gift cards and over the counter medicine. it was me and the elderly hunting the scraps basically when it came to the Christmas ham. luckily, i found what i was looking for.

i went next door to get the trash done after i put the groceries away. my cousin's husband said that my uncle will be coming home on Friday. that should be nice, if he actually does get to come home. i know everyone would love to see him home for Christmas.

my sister came down today. she's going to go to the basketball game with me tomorrow and Friday. that should be interesting.

i did watch a good amount of The Wall last night on NBC. i could easily see this become one of those addicting game shows at night. i was rooting for the couple to lose all the money, mostly because i'm an asshole. but, having the first episode show a couple walk away with $1.3 million is a pretty good way to attract viewers.

Monday Night Raw was sort of blah for most of the night. i do love Neville as a heel. and i loved what they did with Braun Strowman at the end. having him destroy Rollins and Reigns was excellent. that sets up a very interesting top of the card on Raw now.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, WWE Smackdown, the season finale of Scream Queens and Tony Bennett celebrates 90: The Best is Yet to Come. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Pittsburgh. Rick Nash is out injured again. it's somewhat amazing the Rangers are playing as well as they are with so many injuries. tonight will be a stiff test for them.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow, probably after i get done moving shit in the garage. they are going to insulate the back wall of the garage. i wish i would have known that before i put up all that shit on it. i now have posters to take down and other shit. plus move a few shelves and boxes, filing cabinets, etc. good times.

i hope this finds you well, having your Christmas shopping done and not looking to kill someone in your family.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

what a crazy day

when a day involves an assassination that makes you think of WWI and 2 other incidents in Europe that will most likely be terrorist acts, it certainly makes you wonder when WWIII is going to start. and how many in this country are going to be fucking crazy when they find out we are helping Russia fight it. i certainly imagine anyone old enough to remember Russia being the sworn enemy forever isn't going to be happy helping the former head of the KGB with a war. of course, i'm probably get way ahead of myself, i doubt many Americans actually know that Putin was once the head of the KGB.

my thoughts to everyone in Turkey, Berlin and Zurich. i would say prayers but religion is killing us all.

i did write some more poems today, of course. i typed up all 3 of them this afternoon. i really, REALLY like all 3 of them. i'll probably send them out in early 2017. i really want the rest of this year to just be a writing period.

WWE Roadblock: End of the Line was pretty good last night. i thought Sam Roberts did a great job on the pre-show. i loved that The New Day lost the tag titles to Sheamus and Cesaro. a heel Neville is exactly what the Cruiserweights need. i wasn't in love with Charlotte winning over Sasha Banks, but if that sets up Bayley winning the title down the line, i'm ok. i am happy that Kevin Owens is still the Universal Champion, although i really didn't need another Shield reunion tease with Reigns and Rollins putting Jericho and Owens through tables. all in all, not a bad way to end the shitty year of 2016.

i figured if i picked against the New Orleans Saints yesterday they would win. i was correct. Drew Brees had a monster game and the Saints beat Arizona 48-41.

the New York Rangers won in a shootout yesterday over the Devils, 3-2. the Rangers never had a lead in the game, so stealing that one is a little bit sweeter. they play again tomorrow night against Pittsburgh.

the season finale of Shameless last night was excellent. i absolutely loved it.

The Affair was excellent as well last night. Brendan Fraser was creepy as fuck once again.

the Motorhead: Clean Your Clock special last night only reminded me how much i miss Lemmy.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Wall (Game Show). i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

adding to this crazy day, the fucking sun made an appearance. i was actually able to walk down to the street and get the paper and mail without having the fear of walking on ice for a change.

i will be making yet another fucking trip to the grocery store tomorrow. my sister comes down on Wednesday, so lord knows i have to go get shit she wants and what mom wants. sounds like another pit stop in the liquor store again.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. if not. climb the tallest tree you can find and then contemplate the joy of falling.

it could always be worse

i could feel the freezing rain in my bones last night. it more or less just traps us in the house. and i know my arthritis is only going to get worse. good times.

i'm not sure why the Dayton Flyers start off like shit in the big games this season. last night might have been one of the most dreadful first halves i have ever seen them play. sadly, it was probably the best Northwestern had EVER played, hence the halftime score of 40-17. i told my mother watch, Dayton will get really close in the second half and it will be once again, they dug too big off a fucking hole to get out of. sure enough, Dayton was on fire in the second half and got as close as 3 points. fuck me runnin'. Northwestern won 67-64.

the New York Rangers won last night in Nashville 2-1 in a shootout. i absolutely love that Jimmy Vesey scored in the shootout. he was being booed the entire game for not signing with Nashville when he was drafted by them. i love a kid with some stones. The King was spectacular once again last night in the victory. the Rangers play tonight at home against New Jersey.

Manchester United got a brace from the ageless Zlatan Ibrahimovic yesterday to defeat West Brom 2-0. it was probably one of the better victories United have had this season. amazingly, they are just 4 points from second place as of this morning. and they have some very winnable games coming up. it's time to make a run.

Saturday Night Live was funny some of the time last night. honestly, 2 or 3 sketches had me laughing my ass off and the rest of the show had me changing the channel.

ROH was excellent last night. i could watch The Young Bucks and Adam Cole wrestle for the rest of my life and never get bored.

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Shameless, The Affair and Motorhead - Clean Your Clock.

i'll be watching WWE Roadblock: End of the Line for most of the evening tonight. at least on paper, it looks like it should be a great event.

the New Orleans Saints play out in Arizona today. it's another fruitless season for the Saints. oh well.

i did write a poem this morning after i took a shit. i haven't typed it up yet, but it's a special one.

i wrapped all the Christmas gifts i bought last night. i still have one thing i have to make for my sister, but i'll have all that done before the Saints play today.

i suppose i should go out and get the damn Sunday newspaper. hopefully that's not what is in our wet ass driveway.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.
