you ever get so bored that time stands still? welcome to trade deadline day

today was trade deadline day in the NHL. after watching over 7 hours of coverage today, i can say that nothing happened. sure, some players got moved but all the good shit happened days before the deadline. the only team i care about, the New York Rangers, decided to take another swing at winning the Stanley Cup. they traded for Eric Staal from the Carolina Hurricanes yesterday. Eric is a captain and former Cup winner, so i really like this move. the Rangers gave up a really good prospect and two second round picks, but if they win the Cup, it won't matter. i'm really interested in seeing how Eric plays tonight at MSG. the Rangers take on the Blue Jackets. sadly, it means i have to listen to the shitty announcers from Columbus. fuck me.

mom told me to come into her room this afternoon, which was a bit odd. she wanted to show me the receipt and where my sister, myself and her will be sitting when we go see the Cleveland Indians take on the New York Yankees in July. she got some pretty good seats that look to be in the shade. that will come in handy in July. she got tickets to the Friday night game and the Saturday day game. these will be the first Yankees games ever for me. it will also be the first time i have gone to a baseball game in probably 25 years or so.

i did watch the opening of the Oscars last night. i loved how uncomfortable Chris Rock made things. mom told me about the rest of the skits and everything. the Sunday night shows got over in time for me to see the last few awards given out. i was a little surprised that Spotlight won for best picture. given my history with sexual abuse, i was happy to see it win.

Vinyl was really good last night. Girls was pretty fucking funny. Togetherness had one of the best endings i have seen in years. nothing quite like guilt and vomit. and Last Week Tonight did the absolute best job EVER of exposing Donald Trump, or should i say Donald Drumpf.

tonight marks the return of clusterfuck Mondays. on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Gotham and Men in Blazers.

while all that is going on, i will be watching Monday Night Raw and probably flipping over to the hockey game during commercials.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. i will be on here tomorrow sometime after my package from Amazon.com arrives and before the Dayton Flyers try to win at Richmond for the first time in 15 years or something like that. good times.

and then the boy became a man...

what a difference a day makes. when i started to watch the Manchester United game against Arsenal this morning and saw that United were playing two central midfielders as center backs, i feared the worst. but, holy shit, enter Marcus Rashford. when your first touch in the Premier League finds the back of the net, it's amazing. when you get your next goal under 3 minutes later, you have now entered the legend stage of life. at the age of 18! to put this in better perspective, i give you this:

Lionel Messi vs. Petr Cech:
7 games
2 goals

Marcus Rashford vs. Petr Cech:
45 minutes
2 goals
i thought the officiating was a little one sided at times, but i imagine that was due to the number of kids that Manchester United was playing. i know most officials think they are the ones to teach the kids some tough lessons. fucking idiots. thankfully, Manchester United won the game 3-2.
and then there was this from LVG:
that has to be the first time in my life i can remember a manager showing the 4th official how the other team has been flopping. where the fuck has this emotion been all season?

all in all, what a wonderful way to start my Sunday. sort of.

mom woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me my uncle had fallen once again. keep in mind i didn't get to bed until around 2 in the morning. this was something like 4 or so in the morning. she said the phone rang, but i never heard it. she said i was enjoying a nice long snore. she was just getting back from next door when she woke me up. i guess my uncle is in critical condition at the moment at the hospital. of course, no one on their side of the family has had any conversations about what they are going to do when he dies. or even how he wants to die. does he really want to keep taking the chemo that's killing him? would he like a nurse at the house all the time? you know, the kind of questions that there should already be fucking answers to. needless to say, i didn't sleep well the rest of the night. i think i was awake just about every 15 minutes or so until the sun came up. good times.

Austin City Limits was pretty good last night. it was the Ed Sheeran/Valerie June episode from a couple years ago.

ROH was really good last night. the main event between Adam Cole vs. Matt Sydal was great.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vinyl, Girls, Togetherness and Last Week Tonight.

i will probably watch the beginning of The Academy Awards just to see what Chris Rock has to say. i haven't been to the movies in a long time, so i truly don't give a shit who wins.

it's really windy here today, but the sun is out. so i might go out and feed the birds today. unless the winds continue to howl. if that happens, i might as well just throw the seeds down on the ground, that's where they are going to end up anyway.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

sitting down with a glass of something strong

when i got ready to go to the basketball game this morning, i was feeling pretty good. mom and i got to the game in plenty of time, so we got a really good parking spot. and for once, i actually remembered my sunglasses as the sun was really shining today. when i saw Kendall Pollard actually dressed and taking shots, i felt like today was going to be a really good day. and then i noticed the clock above one of the big screens in the arena. it was working again. it had been out for weeks. i jokingly said to my mother, oh shit, they fixed the clock, Dayton is going to lose today. this is the part of the story where i apologize for always being right. Dayton got punched in the face by a depleted Rhode Island team and never really fucking responded. sure, they made a desperate run in the second half and actually showed signs of urgency, but they never had the lead once in the entire fucking game. AT HOME. how the fuck does that happen? sure, the officials stunk and blew about 8 moving screens on Rhode Island that were never called... at least the Flyers coach apologized to the fans after the game. that's two losses at home in a row in front of sell out crowds. with the 75-66 loss, they more or less pissed away any chance of winning the regular season title and are quickly playing themselves out of the NCAA tournament.

i told mom i didn't want to go out to eat after the game. the mood i was in was not a good one. i told her if someone said the right words i would just go ahead and tell her to call the attorney now, because i'm going to need him. she knew i wasn't kidding. we got some food at a fast food place and went home.

we were done eating in time to watch the New York Rangers play at Dallas. the Rangers frustrate the living shit out of me by not shooting the puck enough. you can't have 5 fucks on the ice that all want to pass. once again, they were badly out shot. once again, The King saved the day. the Rangers won a wild game 3-2 with a late goal in the 3rd period from Kevin Klein. apparently he should have broken his thumb earlier in the year as that is his 4th goal i believe since the thumb was broken. i really hope the Rangers do something good at the trade deadline. nearly all the teams they could end up facing in the playoffs have already made moves to make themselves better. the Rangers don't play again until after the trade deadline on Monday.

in a little poetry news, i heard back from Misty at Pink Litter on my poetry submission from last December. she decided to pass on the poems i sent and challenged me to send her a poem i don't want anyone to see. too bad i'm not a young punk at this and need the motivation.

Treehouse Masters was pretty good last night. it was kind of interesting to see how someone else goes about building a treehouse.

VICE was really good last night.

i'm not sure what i'm going to do with the rest of the evening. i probably should do some writing, but i won't. i should do some angry art, but i won't. i'll probably just end up watching some hockey and maybe take a nap. it seems i drink liquor for the same reason i used to smoke pot in high school. to sleep better. maybe one of these days it will actually work.

i did listen to another Sam Roberts podcast this morning. this was from his show on SiriusXM.

ever bite into something and that something stays with you for hours?

so mom and i went out to lunch before we went to the grocery store today. i got a sandwich and fries with some cole slaw. apparently the cole slaw had green onions in it. in my first bite, i got a green onion and i think it overpowered everything else i had in the meal. 4 hours later and i can still taste the fucker. good times.

today is a rough one for myself and mom and my sister as well. today marks the 14th anniversary of my stepfather's death. he was the only man in my life that ever treated me like a son. and seeing that my biological father is now dead, my stepfather will always be the only man to ever treat me like a son. it's part of the reason why i fucking hate cancer as much as i do. my stepfather was only 54 when he died from lung cancer. he deserved such a better fate. and to know that every fucker he did business with was fucking him over and treating him like shit... i really hope all of them until the day they die truly understand the word karma. rest in peace, Steve, wherever you may be.

mom got a headache while she was in the grocery store today. i get the feeling that it won't be too long before i'm doing the shopping alone.

the New York Rangers got a holy shit performance from The King last night.
35 saves in a HUGE 2-1 victory over St. Louis. i really hope that the Rangers take what they did in this game and use it in the future. i'm not sure what they are going to do by the trade deadline on Monday. they do need a few new parts if they want to win a Cup this year.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night. Life in Pieces was hilarious. Baskets was bizarre and brilliant once again. Lip Sync Battle was a flash into my past of songs i used to hear all the time in the 90's at work.

WWE Smackdown was really good last night. i love what Kevin Owens is doing and i wonder if they are putting Chris Jericho and AJ Styles together to make a run at The New Day. that certainly could be interesting. it's amazing how much better Mauro Ranallo has made the show.

the Dayton Flyers play at home tomorrow at noon. it's going to be a sell out and on ESPN2, so i'll be out of here probably by 10 in the morning so i can get a decent parking spot for mom. it's a must win game for Dayton as they are once again in a 3 way tie for first place in the league.

i will probably be on here sometime tomorrow evening, after the New York Rangers play at Dallas. hopefully i'm in a good mood.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to get warm again this weekend, so i guess everyone can stay sick.

a star is born

today was laundry day, so i got to the start of the Manchester United game a little late. when i didn't see Anthony Martial or Chris Smalling out on the field, i feared the worst. when United gave up the first goal of the game, i was furious. i decided to vacuum my room instead of watching the game. of course, United got a gift own goal and was tied at 1 at halftime. of course, if Juan Mata would have buried the pk instead of trying to place it in the net, United would have been leading. and then the second half happened. Marcus Rashford (who?) buried 2 goals and United exploded to win the game 5-1. Memphis was amazing for the entire match. not sure why he can't play like that all the time. of course, it helped playing a small team from Denmark. oh, by the way, Rashford is 18 years old and this was his first senior appearance EVER. i'm wondering if LVG rolls the dice and plays him against Arsenal on the weekend. United advances to the round of 16 in the Europa League on a 6-3 aggregate.
i'll gladly enjoy that victory beer later tonight.

NXT was pretty good last night. i can understand why the main event went the way it did, just kind of funny to see Eva Marie shoved down our throats.

Lucha Underground was pretty much perfect once again. just a great show overall.

the New York Rangers play at St. Louis tonight. the boys are getting back two defensemen they really need, so hopefully that translates to a win.

we didn't get nearly as much snow as the assholes on tv were saying we were going to get. hell, i walked out to get the paper and mail this afternoon in shorts.

i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. it was an excellent one to have on while doing my laundry.

not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know i need to take mom to the grocery store. and i'm starting to get that itch to break out the watercolors again.

as the rain washes away your sanity

for a few hours last night, i thought maybe the haircut didn't work. i was flipping back and forth between the Dayton Flyers and New York Rangers, watching each of them play like shit. it was so bad that at halftime of the basketball game i decided to watch The Muppets rather than the game. quite frankly, The Muppets was better.

the New York Rangers played a great 20 minutes last night. sadly, the games are 60 minutes. they managed to turn a 2-1 lead into a 5-2 loss. for some fucking the reason, the Devils have owned them this season. i really hope those fuckers miss the playoffs.

the Dayton Flyers won what was probably the worst fucking basketball game i have seen in the past decade. it probably set back the sport about 100 years. Dayton won 52-49 in OT. at least the defense showed up last night. the offense must have been somewhere in the lost luggage at the airport. as a guy who was a very good shooter, watching that game was fucking painful. but, at least they fucking won. they play again on Saturday at home. hopefully they will come out like a team that is 22-5 and not a team that is scared to make a mistake.

The Muppets was pretty funny last night.

Total Divas was bat shit crazy, as usual. i never knew Nikki Bella was that fucking weird. but, i did find a gif that makes John Cena look stupid, so i'm happy.

enjoy some music kids:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i will be watching NXT on WWE Network at some point tonight as well.

mom had the time of her appointment mixed up today. thankfully she called before we had to leave to make sure when it was. it was at 1 PM instead of 11 AM. a little bit of a difference. i took along my pen and little notebook. i think i got a good 8 poems out of it. i'll type those up later tonight most likely.

i was a little pissed when mom told me what went on in her physical therapy session. the therapist disclosed to her that both of her ears are fucked up. so she more or less has Meniere's Disease in both ears. no wonder she feels like she's nuts most days. i'm pissed that the doctor that did her last procedure never told her this. he's the fucker that had it down in her medical record but never told her. so it looks like i will be driving mom around more and more, especially when she has these physical therapy sessions. and i'm also basically going to have to play the asshole and force her to use her cane all the time. good times.

it has been raining here all day long and is getting ready to change over to snow. my aches and pains have now become a splitting headache. hello alcohol. i have heard we are going to get anywhere from 1 to 4 inches of snow. i guess i'll be inside for tomorrow. i should be able to get my laundry done, that's for sure.

i'll be on here tomorrow sometime after Manchester United plays the second leg of the Europa League. they better fucking win.

i haven't marked out like that in years

so i sat down to watch Monday Night Raw last night and Vince McMahon said it will be a night none of us will ever forget. i rolled my eyes and said bullshit. then, a few minutes later, a holy shit moment happened:
Shane hasn't been on WWE television in something like 6 or 7 years. and when he said he's come back to save the company, i was thrilled. not because it will actually happen, but it will make shit more interesting and opens the possibilities for WrestleMania. i had heard the rumor that The Undertaker was going to take on someone not on the roster. taking on Shane McMahon in Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania was one of those out of fucking nowhere things that was simply amazing. knowing Shane, even at 46, he's going to do something totally fucking crazy.

the only thing that bothered me about the show last night was there was no Kevin Owens. that's dropping the ball right there. they could have used that useless segment between AJ Styles, Chris Jericho and The Social Outcasts to set up a feud between Owens and Styles for WrestleMania. that would be awesome. although, i did like how the show ended.
of course, i found out this morning that the blood was fake. that's too bad. all in all, a great Monday Night Raw, something i haven't said in quite some time.

i watched The X-Files this morning as i tried to get some sleep last night. that was a mind fucker for real. and the ending left me feeling like what the fuck. if all my questions were going to be answered, how do you end on a cliffhanger? although, i could totally see what happened in the show actually happening. i wouldn't doubt some rich fucks don't already have a plan in action to eliminate most of the "unwanted" in the world.

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets and Total Divas.

the New York Rangers play at New Jersey tonight. hopefully they can get another win.

the Dayton Flyers play at St. Louis tonight. this is a MUST win game or they will go from being a "lock" for the tournament to being on the bubble.

hopefully i am enjoying two victory beers tonight.

i know i have to drive mom to her physical therapy in the morning, so i won't be back on here until sometime in the afternoon.

i have trash to pick up now and laundry to get done. the weather is supposed to get a little crazy after the sun goes down tonight, so i'd love to have some shit done before then.

i hope this finds everyone in a good mood enjoying a cold drink or a hot someone.

i'm convinced that people who get up at 5 are actually insane

i've been up since 5 this morning. almost took a nap during the Manchester United game but decided cleaning the toilets was more important. i think i may still be in a fog. good times.

WWE Fastlane yesterday was so good at times and then just shit the bed the other times. the match between Chris Jericho and AJ Styles was really good. Kevin Owens once again showed why he might be my favorite wrestler going today. and the triple threat main event was really good, even though i really wanted Dean Ambrose to win. all in all, it should set up an interesting Monday Night Raw tonight.

the New York Rangers won last night 1-0 in OT. i might have watched 15 minutes of the game. i did enjoy the victory beer though.

Vinyl was really good last night. i think i enjoy the music more than the show though. Girls was pretty funny last night. the song that ended the show has been in my head all damn day. thankfully iTunes had it on sale today. Togetherness was great. Shameless was really, really good. Billions had a brilliant ending that should be great for the show. and Last Week Tonight was brilliant once again.

Manchester United today was playing a team they should destroy. they won 3-0, so i guess that counts as destroying these days. i'll gladly take it. they are now in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of The X-Files.

i did catch the ending to the Daytona 500 yesterday. that was an amazing finish. Denny Hamlin is one of my favorites, mostly due to his appearances on The Dan Patrick Show.

not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. my uncle is getting worse and i figure i will probably have to spend some time over there tomorrow. it's amazing that these fools that believe in hope get stunned when hope runs the fuck out.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. i might have some good news to share on this coming Thursday. (how's that for a tease) the weather is slowly going back to normal after a weekend in the 60's. so much for my back feeling good.

time for a change

usually when i or any of the teams i passionately follow get on a string of shitty luck, a change is in order. now, when i was younger, that usually meant shaving my head bald or dying my hair a crazy fucking color. now at 40, it means finding a place open on a Sunday to get my hair cut. maturing i suppose.

yesterday still seems like it was a bizarre b movie that had no fucking plot and worse yet, no fucking conclusion. like i normally do when i'm really angry, i put on some classical music to try to sleep to. i believe i fell asleep to Mozart last night. i got a good 5 hours, but i probably would have preferred to fall asleep to Beethoven.

i enjoyed Austin City Limits last night. it was the Hall of Fame episode, so there was a bit of nostalgia involved.

ROH was excellent last night. every match was really good. i should get their pay per view this Friday. i doubt i do, but i should.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vinyl, Girls, Togetherness, Last Week Tonight, Shameless and Billions.

i will be watching for most of the night WWE Fastlane on WWE Network. this will be the event to more or less set up what's going to happen at WrestleMania, so i'm really looking forward to tonight.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Detroit. hopefully they win so i can enjoy a victory beer while watching wrestling tonight.

i might watch some of the Daytona 500 today. it's usually the only NASCAR race i give a shit about each year.

and if i somehow get motivated today, i might actually do my laundry as well. but i doubt it.

i'll be on here tomorrow sometime after Manchester United plays in the FA Cup. if they somehow lose that game, i'm expecting the apocalypse.

sometimes i think the blind could do a better job officiating a basketball game

if you read that title and don't expect a holy shit rant coming, please exit this blog now.

am i upset that the Dayton Flyers lost at home today? yes i am. am i upset that they lost to a great guard from St. Bonaventure? no, i'll always give great players their due. he scored 31 today, he was clearly the best player on the court. or am i upset that 3 fucking assholes decided to ruin a great college basketball game? yes, yes i am. what makes it even worse was coming home and finding out the head of ALL officiating in college basketball was at the game today. why do any of these fucks think we as fans or just a dude watching television want to see a basketball game with 50 fucking fouls called in it. what makes it even worse is the number of beyond fucking obvious calls they don't blow their fucking whistles on. but, like most dumb fucks, they have no problem calling a foul from 30 feet away when the other fucker 2 feet away doesn't see a thing wrong with the play. i'll give Dayton's coach credit. if i was in his shoes, i'd be in jail on murder charges right now. what pisses me off even more was one of St. Bonaventure's players giving a hug to one of the officials during the fucking game. how am i to not think that something is fucking going on? so, for the love of all things right in the world, and so that maybe some of us can actually enjoy college basketball without three dumb fucks ruining it from time to time... i call on Bill McCarthy, Eric Anderson and Nathan Farrell to do the right thing and fucking quit ASAP. do the entire basketball world a favor and stick to your fucking day jobs.

that being said, Dayton's coach was absolutely correct after the game. Dayton isn't playing tough enough at the moment and are clearly feeling sorry for themselves because one of their best players is injured right now. they desperately need Kendall Pollard back but from what i'm hearing, i doubt it happens anytime soon. this 79-72 loss isn't a killer, but it sure as fuck feels like one.

please fucking beat St. Louis on Tuesday. please.

(putting my soapbox away)...

i did enjoy Treehouse Masters last night. i need to look into those two sided fireplaces. NJPW was excellent once again. and VICE was a very interesting show last night. of course, any show about death and i'm sure i'm going to enjoy it.

after the game, i took mom to her job so she could do a few things. then we went to lunch. i had some garlic parmesan chicken. it was much better than i thought it was going to be. and after that, it was off to the grocery store.

i did see a few people that may end up in poems while in the grocery store. the bagger had these amazing yellow and black fingernails. if she didn't look like jail bait, i might have struck up a conversation about them. but, the joy of poetic license is those fingernails will end up on the loud lady wearing sweatpants barely covering an ass that was wider than the grocery cart. enjoy the visual.

tomorrow is a crazy fucking day. between the start of the NASCAR season to the WWE pay per view tomorrow night to some more shows coming back on HBO... i'll do a quick blog in the morning probably before i spend all day in front of the television, hopefully catching up on some napping.

i hope your Saturday has been better than mine. i suppose if anyone asks why i died in my 50's, you can always point to this blog and say that surely wasn't good for his health.

i knew it was my life when i needed to get to my email and i couldn't

this morning was one of those mornings where i could have rebooted the fucking computer a trillion fucking times and nothing would have changed. i had poems i needed to email out and my email wasn't coming up for anything. it wasn't until i just left it alone and spent 30 minutes fucking around with Candy Crush that it finally came up.

i sent out 11 poems today; 6 to ZYX, 3 to Yellow Mama and 2 to BoySlut. when i hear back from these places i'll pass along the verdicts.

well, the sports voodoo relented for an evening, sort of. the New York Rangers beat Toronto 4-2. of course, seeing that they were playing the worst team in the league, something shitty had to come out of the game. unfortunately, the captain got drilled in the head again. this is the exact reason why i want AV to play Dylan McIlrath every fucking game. and with how Girardi and Boyle are playing, there's no reason why he shouldn't be playing every night. the fucker on Toronto at least got a 3 game suspension for the hit.

WWE Smackdown was better than Monday Night Raw in my opinion. it did the job and has me looking forward to the pay per view on Sunday, Fastlane.

The Big Bang Theory was really fucking funny last night. Life in Pieces was excellent but the ending hit me way too close to home. i had that kind of relationship where i was ready to take the next step and ask the perfect someone to move in with me but she broke up with me instead. thankfully the Rangers won so i could have a nice strong drink last night.

Lip Sync Battle was one of those things that you simply can't un-see. you have been warned.

Baskets was really good last night.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW, Treehouse Masters and VICE.

the Dayton Flyers play tomorrow at noon. i know after the game i have to take mom to where she works to sign some things. and then, hopefully, we'll eat and go to the grocery store. i know i have some pills i have to get. and some beer. good combination.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. maybe early evening i suppose.

the wind has been crazy as fuck here today. when i was driving to the post office i felt for sure that some of the signs along the side of the road were going to get swept up and become projectiles. plus, it's damn near 65 degrees today. nothing like going from snow to shorts.

that's all for me kids. i hope everyone has a great weekend. call if you need bail money.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

these are the days when i wish i didn't love sports

when you watch three teams you live and die with all lose within 21 hours of each other, it makes it nearly impossible to feel good about anything. food tastes like shit. naked women are ugly. all music sounds like babies dying. and being the crazy fucker i am, i find it hard to believe that i manage to handle the losses as well as i do. of course, if i lived alone and was still on the farm, it probably would be a different story. i most likely would be calling someone for bail money.

when i saw Sam Miller take an elbow to the face last night from a Saint Joe's player and the refs didn't call a foul, even after watching the video, i knew that Dayton had no fucking chance to win last night. it didn't help help that they were once again playing without Kendall Pollard. Dayton couldn't cut the lead any closer than 5 down the stretch and eventually lost 79-70. thankfully, they haven't lost two games in a row in a long time. they play at home on Saturday.

the New York Rangers actually scored some power play goals last night. but, in a cruel trick from the hockey gods, the Rangers penalty kill was god fucking awful last night. Chicago scored 3 power play goals and beat New York 5-3. they will hopefully get that loss out of their system tonight when they play at Toronto.

and that brings me to Manchester United. when i saw the manager said that he'd rather win the FA Cup than the Europa League, i feared that the team would assume his stupid fucking attitude. sure enough. it didn't help that David de Gea got hurt in pregame warm-ups. i'll give Sergio Romero credit though, if he didn't make some of the amazing saves he made today, United would have lost by 5 or 6 goals. still, losing to a team from Denmark that most fans in Denmark don't even know is beyond a fucking embarrassment. i guess i'm supposed to be happy that United scored an away goal. at this point, who the fuck cares. United plays in the FA Cup on Monday and then has the return leg of the Europa League at home on next Thursday. two more losses and i hope to fucking god that the manager and the fucker that hired him are... relieved of their duties. i almost typed something that would have probably got me arrested. good times.

thank fucking god that NXT and Lucha Underground were great last night.

i'm not sure when i'm going to be on here tomorrow. i need a fucking haircut, i have poems and bills to mail out and if the Rangers lose again tonight, i will probably have to do something "stupid" to myself to end the fucking losing voodoo going on. i can't imagine why i'm still single at 40.

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i will post the links in the music section.

that's all for me kids. i want to get a shower in before the cuss words start flying during the hockey game.

let the warming begin

so after watching The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution last night, i passed my mother in the hallway, who was watching the same program. the first thing she said to me is that sometimes, it's so damn embarrassing to be white. i told her the first thing i thought after watching the documentary was i wondered what this world would be like if J. Edgar Hoover next existed in the first place. i highly recommend that every soul on earth watches this documentary. what i would really love to see is it become a teaching tool in every school in this country. it's appalling to think how much we don't teach people because the powers that be are either embarrassed or feel guilty because of the past. no wonder this fucking country repeats so many damn mistakes.

The Muppets were pretty funny last night. Total Divas was pretty damn funny as well.

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i will also be watching NXT on WWE Network at some point tonight.

up first tonight will be the Dayton Flyers playing at Saint Joe's. Dayton hasn't won there since 2000. but a victory tonight would give Dayton the inside track to the regular season A10 title. a loss would put three teams in first place; Dayton, Saint Joe's and VCU. hopefully the Flyers can keep the winning going.

right after that i'll be flipping over to watch the New York Rangers take on Chicago at MSG. hopefully the Rangers can keep winning at home. i believe the captain will be back tonight, so that should help their defense.

hopefully i am enjoying a few victory beers tonight.

i had a little conversation with Janne Karlsson yesterday and the genius sent me a little artwork today from it.

i did a little poetry work today and have some submissions ready to go on Friday.

the weather is supposed to start getting warmer here. the driveway was mostly melted when i went to get the trash cans today. it's supposed to be in the 50's by the weekend. that basically means i'll be feeding the birds while standing in mud. good times.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the Europa League. i'm not expecting much after the Wayne Rooney injury news today. i'm not sure if this season could get any worse.

i hope this finds everyone drunk and realizing that a vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil.

i'll sleep when they put me in the ground

so when i finally got done watching everything from last night, it was 4 in the morning. i laughed and knew my old ass was going to be up before 8 anyways. sure enough, 7:45 this morning, rise and shine. and since the printer decided to have another fuck you kind of day, i didn't get a nap in today. hopefully i don't fall asleep as i'm taking the trash down to the curb later.

i think i enjoyed the Grammy Awards last night. i could have done without Taylor Swift being on camera every 30 seconds or so, but oh well. i did enjoy most of the performances. i also enjoyed the fuck ups. i thought Kendrick Lamar easily had the best performance of the night. i'm sure there were houses of white people around the country scared to death while he was performing. i am torn on Lady Gaga's tribute to David Bowie last night. i want to love it but something is keeping me from doing that. and i really need to see Hamilton sometime before i die.

The X-Files were pretty interesting last night. it was so campy in spots that i truly laughed my ass off. the ending has me wondering what's coming for the finale next week.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night. any show that has Kevin Owens winning a title is going to get a big round of applause from me. i thought they did a really good job of setting up the pay per view coming up on Sunday.

The Big Show interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin was great on WWE Network. i really loved that Show was very open and honest about his career and what he's done over the years. it was really better than i was expecting.

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets, Total Divas, and the Black Panther documentary on PBS.

i need to get the trash picked up and get ready for dinner, so the rest of this will be short.

i'm really happy to see the Dayton Flyers are ranked the highest they have been since 1967. they have a huge game tomorrow.

thankfully, it sounds like the New York Rangers are getting their captain back for their game against Chicago tomorrow night.

i saw that Andra Day's album was on sale at iTunes today. i got that and have really enjoyed it so far. she reminds me a lot of Etta James.

i've got a few poems in my head that i want to write out here in the next few days. since the weather is supposed to get better over the upcoming days, i might actually get to the post office to mail some poems out.

that's all for me kids. i hope this finds everyone enjoying a drink and something funky on the radio, that is if you even have one of those anymore.
